| 3 Le bâtard ne sera pas admis à l'assemblée de Yahvé; même ses descendants à la dixièmegénération ne seront pas admis à l'assemblée de Yahvé. | 3 "No Ammonite or Moabite shall enter the assembly of the LORD; even to the tenth generation none belonging to them shall enter the assembly of the LORD for ever; |

| 6 Mais Yahvé ton Dieu ne consentit pas à écouter Balaam, et Yahvé ton Dieu changea pour toila malédiction en bénédiction, car Yahvé ton Dieu t'aimait. | 6 You shall not seek their peace or their prosperity all your days for ever. |
| 7 Jamais, tant que tu vivras, tu ne rechercheras leur prospérité et leur bonheur. | 7 "You shall not abhor an Edomite, for he is your brother; you shall not abhor an Egyptian, because you were a sojourner in his land. |
| 8 Tu ne tiendras pas l'Edomite pour abominable, car c'est ton frère. Tu ne tiendras pasl'Egyptien pour abominable, car tu as été un étranger dans son pays. | 8 The children of the third generation that are born to them may enter the assembly of the LORD. |

| 10 Quand tu iras camper contre tes ennemis, tu te garderas de tout mal. | 10 "If there is among you any man who is not clean by reason of what chances to him by night, then he shall go outside the camp, he shall not come within the camp; |
| 11 S'il se trouve parmi les tiens un homme qui ne soit pas en état de pureté, par suite d'unepollution nocturne, il sortira du camp et n'y rentrera pas. | 11 but when evening comes on, he shall bathe himself in water, and when the sun is down, he may come within the camp. |
| 12 Vers le soir, il se lavera, et au coucher du soleil il pourra rentrer au camp. | 12 "You shall have a place outside the camp and you shall go out to it; |
| 13 Tu auras un endroit hors du camp et c'est là que tu iras, au-dehors. | 13 and you shall have a stick with your weapons; and when you sit down outside, you shall dig a hole with it, and turn back and cover up your excrement. |
| 14 Tu auras une pioche dans ton équipement, et quand tu iras t'accroupir au-dehors, tudonneras un coup de pioche et tu recouvriras tes ordures. | 14 Because the LORD your God walks in the midst of your camp, to save you and to give up your enemies before you, therefore your camp must be holy, that he may not see anything indecent among you, and turn away from you. |
| 15 Car Yahvé ton Dieu parcourt l'intérieur du camp pour te protéger et te livrer tes ennemis.Aussi ton camp doit-il être une chose sainte, Yahvé ne doit rien voir chez toi de dégoûtant; il se détournerait detoi! | 15 "You shall not give up to his master a slave who has escaped from his master to you; |
| 16 Tu ne laisseras pas enfermer par son maître un esclave qui se sera enfui de chez son maîtreauprès de toi. | 16 he shall dwell with you, in your midst, in the place which he shall choose within one of your towns, where it pleases him best; you shall not oppress him. |
| 17 Il demeurera avec toi, parmi les tiens, au lieu qu'il aura choisi dans l'une de tes villes où ilse trouvera bien; tu ne le molesteras pas. | 17 "There shall be no cult prostitute of the daughters of Israel, neither shall there be a cult prostitute of the sons of Israel. |
| 18 Il n'y aura pas de prostituée sacrée parmi les filles d'Israël, ni de prostitué sacré parmi lesfils d'Israël. | 18 You shall not bring the hire of a harlot, or the wages of a dog, into the house of the LORD your God in payment for any vow; for both of these are an abomination to the LORD your God. |
| 19 Tu n'apporteras pas à la maison de Yahvé ton Dieu le salaire d'une prostituée ni le paiementd'un chien, quel que soit le voeu que tu aies fait: car tous deux sont en abomination à Yahvé ton Dieu. | 19 "You shall not lend upon interest to your brother, interest on money, interest on victuals, interest on anything that is lent for interest. |
| 20 Tu ne prêteras pas à intérêt à ton frère, qu'il s'agisse d'un prêt d'argent, ou de vivres, ou dequoi que ce soit dont on exige intérêt. | 20 To a foreigner you may lend upon interest, but to your brother you shall not lend upon interest; that the LORD your God may bless you in all that you undertake in the land which you are entering to take possession of it. |
| 21 A l'étranger tu pourras prêter à intérêt, mais tu prêteras sans intérêt à ton frère, afin queYahvé ton Dieu te bénisse en tous tes travaux, au pays où tu vas entrer pour en prendre possession. | 21 "When you make a vow to the LORD your God, you shall not be slack to pay it; for the LORD your God will surely require it of you, and it would be sin in you. |
| 22 Si tu fais un voeu à Yahvé ton Dieu, tu ne tarderas pas à l'acquitter: nul doute que Yahvéton Dieu te le réclame, et tu te chargerais d'un péché. | 22 But if you refrain from vowing, it shall be no sin in you. |
| 23 Mais si tu t'abstiens de voeu, tu ne te chargeras pas d'un péché. | 23 You shall be careful to perform what has passed your lips, for you have voluntarily vowed to the LORD your God what you have promised with your mouth. |
| 24 Ce qui sort de ta bouche, tiens-le, et exécute le voeu que tu as fait volontairement à Yahvéton Dieu, de ta propre bouche. | 24 "When you go into your neighbor's vineyard, you may eat your fill of grapes, as many as you wish, but you shall not put any in your vessel. |
| 25 Si tu passes dans la vigne de ton prochain, tu pourras manger du raisin à ton gré, jusqu'àsatiété, mais tu n'en mettras pas dans ton panier. | 25 When you go into your neighbor's standing grain, you may pluck the ears with your hand, but you shall not put a sickle to your neighbor's standing grain. |
| 26 Si tu traverses les moissons de ton prochain, tu pourras arracher des épis avec la main, maistu ne porteras pas la faucille sur la moisson de ton prochain. | |
