Lévitique 24

JERUSALEM	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Yahvé parla à Moïse et dit:	1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:
2 Ordonne aux Israélites de t'apporter de l'huile d'olives broyées pour le candélabre, et d'y fairemonter une flamme permanente.	2 'Order the Israelites to bring you crushed-olive oil for the lamp-stand, and keep a flame burning therecontinual y.
3 C'est devant le rideau du Témoignage, dans la Tente du Rendez-vous, qu'Aaron disposera cetteflamme. Elle sera là devant Yahvé du soir au matin, en permanence. Ceci est un décret perpétuel pour vosdescendants:	3 Aaron wil keep it permanently in trim from evening to morning, outside the curtain of the Testimony inthe Tent of Meeting, before Yahweh. This is a perpetual decree for your descendants:
4 Aaron disposera les lampes sur le candélabre pur, devant Yahvé, en permanence.	4 Aaron wil keep the lamps permanently trimmed on the pure lamp-stand before Yahweh.
5 Tu prendras de la fleur de farine et tu en feras cuire douze gâteaux, chacun de deux dixièmes.	5 'You will take wheaten flour and with it bake twelve loaves, each of two-tenths of an ephah.
6 Puis tu les placeras en deux rangées de six sur la table pure qui est devant Yahvé.	6 You will then place them in two rows of six on the pure table before Yahweh
7 Sur chaque rangée tu déposeras de l'encens pur. Ce sera l'aliment offert en mémorial, un metspour Yahvé.	7 and put pure incense on each row, to make it food offered as a memorial, food burnt for Yahweh.
8 C'est chaque jour de sabbat qu'en permanence on les disposera devant Yahvé. Les Israélites lesfourniront à titre d'alliance perpétuelle;	8 Every Sabbath they wil be arranged before Yahweh. The Israelites wil provide them as a permanentcovenant.
9 ils appartiendront à Aaron et à ses fils, qui les mangeront en un lieu sacré, car c'est pour lui unepart très sainte des mets de Yahvé. C'est une loi perpétuelle.	9 They wil belong to Aaron and his sons, who wil eat them inside the holy place since, for him, they arean especial y holy part of the food burnt for Yahweh. This is a permanent law.'
10 Le fils d'une Israélite, mais dont le père était égyptien, sortit de sa maison et, se trouvant aumilieu des Israélites, il se prit de querelle dans le camp avec un homme qui était israélite.	10 There was a man whose mother was an Israelite woman and whose father was an Egyptian. Hecame out of his house and, in the camp, surrounded by the Israelites, he began to quarrel with a man who wasan Israelite.
11 Or le fils de l'Israélite blasphéma le Nom et le maudit. On le conduisit alors à Moïse (le nom dela mère était Shelomit, fille de Dibri, de la tribu de Dan).	11 Now the son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the Name and cursed it. He was then taken toMoses (his mother's name was Shelomith daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan).
12 On le mit sous bonne garde pour n'en décider que sur l'ordre de Yahvé.	12 He was then put under guard until Yahweh's will should be made clear to them.
13 Yahvé parla à Moïse et dit:	13 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:
14 Fais sortir du camp celui qui a prononcé la malédiction. Tous ceux qui l'ont entendu poserontleurs mains sur sa tête et toute la communauté le lapidera.	14 'Take the man who pronounced the curse outside the camp. Al those who heard him must then laytheir hands on his head, and the whole community must then stone him.
15 Puis tu parleras ainsi aux Israélites: Tout homme qui maudit son Dieu portera le poids de sonpéché.	15 Then say to the Israelites: "Anyone who curses his God will bear the consequences of his sin,
16 Qui blasphème le nom de Yahvé devra mourir, toute la communauté le lapidera. Qu'il soitétranger ou citoyen, il mourra s'il blasphème le Nom.	16 and anyone who blasphemes the name of Yahweh wil be put to death; the whole community wilstone him; be he alien or native-born, if he blasphemes the Name, he wil be put to death.
17 Si un homme frappe un être humain, quel qu'il soit, il devra mourir.	17 "Anyone who strikes down any other human being will be put to death.
18 Qui frappe un animal en doit donner la compensation: vie pour vie.	18 "Anyone who strikes down an animal will make restitution for it: a life for a life.
19 Si un homme blesse un compatriote, comme il a fait on lui fera:	19 "Anyone who injures a neighbour shall receive the same in return,
20 fracture pour fracture, oeil pour oeil, dent pour dent. Tel le dommage que l'on inflige à unhomme, tel celui que l'on subit:	20 broken limb for broken limb, eye for eye, tooth for tooth. As the injury inflicted, so will be the injurysuffered.
21 qui frappe un animal en doit donner compensation et qui frappe un homme doit mourir.	21 Whoever strikes down an animal wil make restitution for it, and whoever strikes down a human beingwil be put to death.
22 La sentence sera chez vous la même, qu'il s'agisse d'un citoyen ou d'un étranger, car je suisYahvé votre Dieu.	22 The sentence you pass wil be the same, whether on native-born or on alien; for I am Yahweh yourGod." '
23 Moïse ayant ainsi parlé aux Israélites, ils firent sortir du camp celui qui avait prononcé lamalédiction et ils le lapidèrent. Ils accomplirent ainsi ce que Yahvé avait ordonné à Moïse.	23 Moses having told the Israelites this, they took the man who had pronounced the curse out of thecamp and stoned him. And so the Israelites carried out Yahweh's order to Moses.
