Lévitique 18

JERUSALEM	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 Yahvé parla à Moïse et dit:	1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Parle aux Israélites; tu leur diras: Je suis Yahvé votre Dieu.	2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am the LORD your God.
3 Vous n'agirez point comme on fait au pays d'Egypte où vous avez habité; vous n'agirez pointcomme on fait au pays de Canaan où moi je vous mène. Vous ne suivrez point leurs lois,	3 After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.
4 ce sont mes coutumes que vous appliquerez et mes lois que vous garderez, c'est d'après elles quevous vous conduirez. Je suis Yahvé votre Dieu.	4 Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the LORD your God.
5 Vous garderez mes lois et mes coutumes: qui les accomplira y trouvera la vie. Je suis Yahvé.	5 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the LORD.
6 Aucun de vous ne s'approchera de sa proche parente pour en découvrir la nudité. Je suis Yahvé.	6 None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the LORD.
7 Tu ne découvriras pas la nudité de ton père ni la nudité de ta mère. C'est ta mère, tu nedécouvriras pas sa nudité.	7 The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
8 Tu ne découvriras pas la nudité de la femme de ton père, c'est la nudité même de ton père.	8 The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.
9 Tu ne découvriras pas la nudité de ta soeur, qu'elle soit fille de ton père ou fille de ta mère.Qu'elle soit née à la maison, qu'elle soit née au-dehors, tu n'en découvriras pas la nudité.	9 The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.
10 Tu ne découvriras pas la nudité de la fille de ton fils; ni celle de la fille de ta fille. Car leurnudité, c'est ta propre nudité.	10 The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thine own nakedness.
11 Tu ne découvriras pas la nudité de la fille de la femme de ton père, née de ton père. C'est tasoeur, tu ne dois pas en découvrir la nudité.	11 The nakedness of thy father's wife's daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
12 Tu ne découvriras pas la nudité de la soeur de ton père, car c'est la chair de ton père.	12 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's sister: she is thy father's near kinswoman.
13 Tu ne découvriras pas la nudité de la soeur de ta mère, car c'est la chair même de ta mère.	13 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister: for she is thy mother's near kinswoman.
14 Tu ne découvriras pas la nudité du frère de ton père; tu ne t'approcheras donc pas de sonépouse, car c'est la femme de ton oncle.	14 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she is thine aunt.
15 Tu ne découvriras pas la nudité de ta belle-fille. C'est la femme de ton fils, tu n'en découvriraspas la nudité.	15 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law: she is thy son's wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
16 Tu ne découvriras pas la nudité de la femme de ton frère, car c'est la nudité même de ton frère.	16 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother's wife: it is thy brother's nakedness.
17 Tu ne découvriras pas la nudité d'une femme et celle de sa fille; tu ne prendras pas la fille deson fils ni la fille de sa fille pour en découvrir la nudité. Elles sont ta propre chair, ce serait un inceste.	17 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen: it is wickedness.
18 Tu ne prendras pas pour ton harem une femme en même temps que sa soeur en découvrant lanudité de celle-ci du vivant de sa soeur.	18 Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life time.
19 Tu ne t'approcheras pas, pour découvrir sa nudité, d'une femme souillée par ses règles.	19 Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.
20 A la femme de ton compatriote tu ne donneras pas ton lit conjugal, tu en deviendrais impur.	20 Moreover thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour's wife, to defile thyself with her.
21 Tu ne livreras pas de tes enfants à faire passer à Molek, et tu ne profaneras pas ainsi le nom deton Dieu. Je suis Yahvé.	21 And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.
22 Tu ne coucheras pas avec un homme comme on couche avec une femme. C'est uneabomination.	22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
23 Tu ne donneras ta couche à aucune bête; tu en deviendrais impur. Une femme ne s'offrira pas àun animal pour s'accoupler à lui. Ce serait une souillure.	23 Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.
24 Ne vous rendez impurs par aucune de ces pratiques: c'est par elles que se sont rendues impuresles nations que je chasse devant vous.	24 Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:
25 Le pays est devenu impur, j'ai sanctionné sa faute et le pays a dû vomir ses habitants.	25 And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.
26 Mais vous, vous garderez mes lois et mes coutumes, vous ne commettrez aucune de cesabominations, pas plus le citoyen que l'étranger qui réside parmi vous.	26 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:
27 Car toutes ces abominations-là, les hommes qui ont habité ce pays avant vous les ont commiseset le pays en a été rendu impur.	27 (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;)
28 Si vous le rendez impur, ne vous vomira-t-il pas comme il a vomi la nation qui vous aprécédés?	28 That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you.
29 Oui, quiconque commet l'une de ces abominations, quelle qu'elle soit, tous les êtres qui lescommettent, ceux-là seront retranchés de leur peuple.	29 For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.
30 Gardez mes observances sans mettre en pratique ces lois abominables que l'on appliquait avantvous; ainsi ne vous rendront-elles pas impurs. Je suis Yahvé, votre Dieu.	30 Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God.
