Livre des Psaumes 99

JERUSALEM	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Yahvé règne, les peuples tremblent; il siège sur les Chérubins, la terre chancelle;	1 Yahweh is king, the peoples tremble; he is enthroned on the winged creatures, the earth shivers;
2 dans Sion Yahvé est grand. Il s'exalte, lui, par-dessus tous les peuples;	2 Yahweh is great in Zion. He is supreme over al nations;
3 qu'ils célèbrent ton nom grand et redoutable: il est saint, lui,	3 let them praise your name, great and awesome; holy is he
4 et puissant. Le roi qui aime le jugement, c'est toi; tu as fondé droiture, jugement et justice, en Jacobc'est toi qui agis.	4 and mighty! You are a king who loves justice, you established honesty, justice and uprightness; inJacob it is you who are active.
5 Exaltez Yahvé notre Dieu, prosternez-vous vers son marchepied: lui, il est saint.	5 Exalt Yahweh our God, bow down at his footstool; holy is he!
6 Moïse, Aaron parmi ses prêtres, et Samuel, appelant son nom, en appelaient à Yahvé: et lui, il leurrépondait.	6 Moses and Aaron are among his priests, and Samuel, calling on his name; they called on Yahweh andhe answered them.
7 Dans la colonne de nuée, il parlait avec eux; eux gardaient ses témoignages, la Loi qu'il leur donna.	7 He spoke with them in the pil ar of fire, they obeyed his decrees, the Law he gave them.
8 Yahvé notre Dieu, toi, tu leur répondais, Dieu de pardon que tu étais pour eux, mais te vengeant deleurs méfaits.	8 Yahweh our God, you answered them, you were a God of forgiveness to them, but punished them fortheir sins.
9 Exaltez Yahvé notre Dieu, prosternez-vous vers sa sainte montagne: saint est Yahvé notre Dieu.	9 Exalt Yahweh our God, bow down at his holy mountain; holy is Yahweh our God!
