| 1 Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse, et lui dit : | 1 Yahweh then spoke to Moses and said, |
| 2 J'ai appelé nommément Béséléel, fils d'Uri, qui était fils de Hur, de la tribu de Juda. | 2 'Look, I have singled out Bezalel son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, |
| 3 Et je l'ai rempli de l'esprit de Dieu, je l'ai rempli de sagesse, d'intelligence et de science pour toutes sortes d'ouvrages. | 3 and have filled him with the spirit of God in wisdom, knowledge and skil in every kind of craft: |
| 4 Pour inventer tout ce que l'art peut faire avec l'or, l'argent, l'airain, | 4 in designing and carrying out work in gold and silver and bronze, |
| 5 le marbre, les pierres précieuses et tous les bois divers. | 5 in cutting stones to be set, in wood carving and in executing every kind of work. |
| 6 (Et) Je lui ai donné pour auxiliaire Ooliab, fils d'Achisamech, de la tribu de Dan, et j'ai répandu la sagesse dans le cœur de tous les artisans habiles, afin qu'ils fassent tout ce que je t'ai ordonné de faire : | 6 And to help him I have given him Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, and have endowedthe hearts of al the skilled men with the skil to make everything I have ordered you: |
| 7 Le tabernacle de l'alliance, l'arche du (de) témoignage, le propitiatoire qui est au-dessus, et tout ce qui doit servir dans le (tous les vases du) tabernacle ; | 7 the Tent of Meeting; the ark of the Testimony; the mercy-seat above it; and all the furniture of the tent; |
| 8 la table avec ses vases, le chandelier d'or très pur avec tout ce qui sert à son usage, l'autel des parfums | 8 the table and al its accessories; the pure lamp-stand and al its equipment; the altar of incense; |
| 9 et l'autel des holocaustes avec tous leurs vases, et le bassin avec sa base ; | 9 the altar of burnt offerings and al its accessories; the basin and its stand; |
| 10 les vêtements saints destinés au ministère du grand prêtre Aaron et de ses fils, afin qu'ils soient revêtus d'ornements sacrés en exerçant les fonctions de leur sacerdoce ; | 10 the liturgical vestments, the sacred vestments for Aaron the priest, and the vestments for his sons,for their priestly functions; |
| 11 l'huile d'onction et le parfum aromatique qui doit servir au sanctuaire. Ils exécuteront tout ce que je t'ai commandé de faire. | 11 the anointing oil and the fragrant incense for the sanctuary. They wil do everything as I have orderedyou.' |
| 12 Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse et lui dit : | 12 Yahweh then said to Moses, |
| 13 Parle aux enfants d'Israël et dis-leur : Ayez (grand) soin d'observer mon sabbat, parce que c'est la marque que j'ai établie entre moi et vous, et qui doit passer après vous à vos enfants, afin que vous sachiez que c'est moi qui suis le Seigneur qui vous sanctifie. | 13 'Speak to the Israelites and say, "You wil keep my Sabbaths properly, for this is a sign betweenmyself and you for all your generations to come, so that you will know that it is I, Yahweh, who sanctify you. |
| 14 Observez mon sabbat, parce qu'il vous doit être saint. Celui qui l'aura violé sera puni (mourra) de mort. Si quelqu'un travaille ce jour-là, il périra du milieu de son peuple. | 14 You wil keep the Sabbath, then; you wil regard it as holy. Anyone who profanes it wil be put todeath; anyone who does any work on that day wil be outlawed from his people. |
| 15 Vous travaillerez pendant six jours ; mais le septième jour est le sabbat et le repos consacré au (saint pour le) Seigneur. Quiconque travaillera ce jour-là sera puni de mort. | 15 Work must be done for six days, but the seventh day wil be a day of complete rest, consecrated toYahweh. Anyone who works on the Sabbath day wil be put to death. |
| 16 Que les enfants d'Israël observent le sabbat et qu'ils le célèbrent d'âge en âge. C'est un pacte éternel | 16 The Israelites wil keep the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath for all their generations to come: this isan eternal covenant. |
| 17 entre moi et les enfants d'Israël et une marque qui durera toujours ; car le Seigneur a fait en six jours le ciel et la terre, et il a cessé d'agir (sonœuvre) au septième. | 17 Between myself and the Israelites, this is a sign for ever, for in six days Yahweh made heaven andearth, but on the seventh day he rested and drew breath." |
| 18 (Or) Le Seigneur, ayant achevé de parler en ces termes sur la montagne du (de) Sinaï, donna à Moïse les deux tables du témoignage, qui étaient de pierre et écrites du doigt de Dieu. | 18 When he had finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of theTestimony, tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God. |
