| 46 resultó ser de seiscientos tres mil quinientos cincuenta. | 46 Altogether, the total came to six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty. |
| 47 Pero los levitas no fueron censados por familias con los demás, | 47 But the Levites and their tribes were not included in the count. |
| 48 porque el Señor le había dicho a Moisés: | 48 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said: |
| 49 «No hagas el censo de la tribu de Leví ni los registres entre los demás hijos de Israel. | 49 'Do not, however, take a census of the Levites, or register them with the other Israelites, |
| 50 Alístalos tú para el servicio de la Morada del Testimonio, de sus utensilios y de todo lo relacionado con ella. Ellos transportarán la Morada con todos sus utensilios, estarán al servicio de ella y acamparán en torno a ella. | 50 but enrol the Levites to take charge of the Dwel ing where the Testimony is and of al its furnishingsand belongings. They must carry the Dwel ing and al its furnishings; they must look after the Dwel ing and pitchtheir camp round it. |
| 51 Cuando la Morada haya de ponerse en marcha, los levitas la desmontarán, y cuando la Morada se detenga, los levitas la montarán. El extraño que se acerque, será hombre muerto. | 51 Whenever the Dwelling is moved, the Levites will dismantle it; whenever the Dwel ing stops for thenight, the Levites wil erect it. Any unauthorised person coming near it will be put to death. |
| 52 Los hijos de Israel acamparán por escuadrones, cada uno en su campamento y bajo su banderín. | 52 The Israelites wil pitch their tents, each in their own encampment and by their own standard,company by company, |
| 53 Pero los levitas acamparán alrededor de la Morada del Testimonio; y así no estallará la Ira contra la comunidad de los hijos de Israel. Los levitas harán la guardia de la Morada del Testimonio». | 53 but the Levites wil pitch their tents round the Dwel ing where the Testimony is. In this way Retributionwil be kept from fal ing on the whole community of Israelites, and the Levites wil keep charge of the Dwel ing ofthe Testimony.' |
| 54 Los hijos de Israel lo hicieron todo tal como el Señor se lo había mandado a Moisés. Así lo hicieron. | 54 The Israelites did exactly as Yahweh had ordered Moses. They did as he said. |
