1 Aclamad, justos, al Señor, | que merece la alabanza de los buenos.	1 Rejoice, you just, in the LORD; praise from the upright is fitting.
2 Dad gracias al Señor con la cítara, | tocad en su honor el arpa de diez cuerdas;	2 Give thanks to the LORD on the harp; on the ten-stringed lyre offer praise.
3 cantadle un cántico nuevo, | acompañando los vítores con bordones.	3 Sing to God a new song; skillfully play with joyful chant.
4 Que la palabra del Señor es sincera, | y todas sus acciones son leales;	4 For the LORD'S word is true; all his works are trustworthy.
5 él ama la justicia y el derecho, | y su misericordia llena la tierra.	5 The LORD loves justice and right and fills the earth with goodness.
6 La palabra del Señor hizo el cielo; | el aliento de su boca, sus ejércitos;	6 By the LORD'S word the heavens were made; by the breath of his mouth all their host.
7 encierra en un odre las aguas marinas, | mete en un depósito el océano.	7 The waters of the sea were gathered as in a bowl; in cellars the deep was confined.
8 Tema al Señor la tierra entera, | tiemblen ante él los habitantes del orbe:	8 Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all who dwell in the world show reverence.
9 porque él lo dijo, y existió; | él lo mandó y todo fue creado.	9 For he spoke, and it came to be, commanded, and it stood in place.
10 El Señor deshace los planes de las naciones, | frustra los proyectos de los pueblos;	10 The LORD foils the plan of nations, frustrates the designs of peoples.
11 pero el plan del Señor subsiste por siempre; | los proyectos de su corazón, de edad en edad.	11 But the plan of the LORD stands forever, wise designs through all generations.
12 Dichosa la nación cuyo Dios es el Señor, | el pueblo que él se escogió como heredad.	12 Happy the nation whose God is the LORD, the people chosen as his very own.
13 El Señor mira desde el cielo, | se fija en todos los hombres.	13 From heaven the LORD looks down and observes the whole human race,
14 Desde su morada observa | a todos los habitantes de la tierra:	14 Surveying from the royal throne all who dwell on earth.
15 él modeló cada corazón, | y comprende todas sus acciones.	15 The one who fashioned the hearts of them all knows all their works.
16 No vence el rey por su gran ejército, | no escapa el soldado por su mucha fuerza;	16 A king is not saved by a mighty army, nor a warrior delivered by great strength.
17 nada valen sus caballos para la victoria, | ni por su gran ejército se salvan.	17 Useless is the horse for safety; its great strength, no sure escape.
18 Los ojos del Señor están puestos en quien lo teme, | en los que esperan su misericordia,	18 But the LORD'S eyes are upon the reverent, upon those who hope for his gracious help,
19 para librar sus vidas de la muerte | y reanimarlos en tiempo de hambre.	19 Delivering them from death, keeping them alive in times of famine.
20 Nosotros aguardamos al Señor: | él es nuestro auxilio y escudo;	20 Our soul waits for the LORD, who is our help and shield.
21 con él se alegra nuestro corazón, | en su santo nombre confiamos.	21 For in God our hearts rejoice; in your holy name we trust.
22 Que tu misericordia, Señor, venga sobre nosotros, | como lo esperamos de ti.	22 May your kindness, LORD, be upon us; we have put our hope in you.
