BIBBIA TINTORI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 La parola del Signore mi fu indirizzata in questi termini:	1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,
2 « Figlio dell'uomo, volgi la tua faccia verso Gog, verso la terra di Magog, verso il principe sovrano di Mosoc e di Tubai, e profetizza su lui,	2 'Son of man, turn towards Gog, to the country of Magog, towards the paramount prince of Meshechand Tubal, and prophesy against him.
3 e di': Così parla il Signore Dio: Eccomi a te, o Gog, principe sovrano di Mosoc e di Tubai,	3 Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: I am against you, Gog, paramount prince of Meshech and Tubal.
4 io ti menerò attorno e metterò un freno alle tue mascelle, e farò uscire te e tutto il tuo esercito, cavalli e cavalieri coperti tutti di corazza, turba immensa armata di aste e di scudi e di spade.	4 I shal turn you about, I shall fix hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your entire army, horses andhorsemen, al perfectly equipped, a huge array armed with shields and bucklers, and al wielding swords.
5 Persiani, Etiopi e Libii saranno con loro, tutti con scudo ed elmo:	5 Persia and Cush and Put are with them, al with buckler and helmet;

8 Dopo molti giorni tu sarai visitato, negli ultimi anni tu verrai contro una terra sottratta alla spada, radunata da molti popoli sulle montagne d'Israele, che furono per molto tempo deserte: essa fu tratta di mezzo ai popoli, vi staranno tutti con sicurezza.	8 "Many days will pass before you are given orders; in the final years you wil march on this country,whose inhabitants wil have been living in confidence, remote from other peoples, since they escaped the swordand were gathered in from various nations, here in the long-deserted mountains of Israel.
9 Tu salirai e verrai come tempesta, come nube a coprir la terra, tu e tutte le tue schiere e i numerosi popoli che son teco.	9 Like a storm you wil approach, you wil advance and cover the country like a cloud, you, al yourtroops and many nations with you.
10 Così parla il Signore Dio: In quel giorno delle cose ti verranno m mente e penserai a pessimi disegni	10 "The Lord Yahweh says this: That day, a thought wil enter your mind and you wil form a sinisterplan.
11 e dirai: « Andrò contro una terra senza mura, andrò contro chi riposa e sta sicuro: è tutta gente che ha dimore senza mura, non ha nè serrature nè porte ».	11 You wil think: I shal attack this undefended country and march on this peaceful nation living secure,al living in towns without wal s or bars or gates.
12 Tu andrai a rapire le spoglie, a prender la preda, a metter la tua mano sopra coloro che erano stati dispersi e poi richiamati, sopra un popolo raccolto di mezzo alle nazioni, che ha cominciato a possedere e ad abitare nel centro della terra.	12 You wil come to plunder and loot and turn your might against the ruins they live in, against thispeople gathered back from the nations, these stock-breeders and traders who live at the Navel of the World.
13 Saba, Dedan e i mercanti di Tarsis, e tutti i loro leoni ti diranno: « Vieni a prendere le spoglie? Certo per rapire la preda hai radunata la tua moltitudine, per portar via l'argento e l'oro, le suppellettili e i beni, per portar via infinite spoglie ».	13 Sheba and Dedan, the merchants and all the magnates of Tarshish wil ask you: Have you come forplunder? Are you massing your troops with a view to looting? To make off with gold and silver, seize cattle and goods, and come away with unlimited spoil?"
14 Per questo, profetizza, o figlio dell'uomo, e di a Gog: Così parla il Signore Dio: Dunque in quel giorno, quando il mio popolo d'Israele starà sicuro, lo saprai?	14 'So, son of man, prophesy. Say to Gog, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Is it not true that you will set outat a time when my people Israel is living secure?
15 E verrai dalle tue regioni, dall'estremo settentrione, tu e numerosi popoli con te, tutti montati su cavalli, turba grande, esercito potente.	15 You wil leave your home in the far north, you and many nations with you, a great army of countlesstroops all mounted.
16 E salirai contro il mio popolo d'Israele come nube a coprir la terra. Tu sarai negli ultimi giorni, ed io ti farò venire contro la mia terra, affinchè le nazioni mi conoscano quando io avrò mostrato la mia santità in te davanti ai loro occhi, o Gog.	16 You wil invade Israel, my people. You will be like a cloud covering the country. In the final days, Imyself shal bring you to attack my country, so that the nations will know who I am, when I display my holiness tothem, by means of you, Gog.
17 Così parla il Signore Dio: Tu sei dunque colui del quale io ho parlato nei tempi antichi per mezzo dei miei servi, i profeti d'Israele, i quali nei giorni di quei tempi profetizzarono che io ti avrei fatto venire contro di loro.	17 "The Lord Yahweh says this: It was of you that I spoke in the past through my servants the prophetsof Israel, who prophesied in those days, foretel ing your invasion.
18 E in quel giorno, nel giorno in cui Gog arriverà sopra la terra d'Israele — dice il Signore Dio — il mio sdegno monterà nel mio furore,	18 The day Gog attacks the land of Israel -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- my furious wrath will boil up. Inmy anger,
19 e nella mia gelosia, nel fuoco del mio furore ho detto: In quel giorno vi sarà grande sconvolgimento nella terra d'Israele.	19 in my jealousy, in the heat of my fury I say it: That day, I swear, there wil be such a huge earthquakein the land of Israel,
20 Davanti a me saranno in agitazione i pesci del mare, gli uccelli del cielo, le bestie dei campi, ed ogni rettile che si muove sulla terra, e tutti gli uomini che stanno sulla faccia della terra, e crolleranno i monti e cadranno i baluardi, e tutte le mura cadranno per terra.	20 that the fish in the sea and the birds of heaven, the wild beasts, al the reptiles creeping along theground, and al people on the surface of the earth will quake before me. Mountains wil fall, cliffs crumble, alwal s col apse, and
21 E contro di lui chiamerò la spada in tutti i miei monti — dice il Signore, — ognuno volgerà la spada contro il suo fratello,	21 I shal summon every kind of sword against him -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- and each will turn hissword against his comrade.
22 e farò di lui giustizia colla peste e col sangue, e con pioggia impetuosa e immense pietre, farò piovere sopra di lui e sopra il suo esercito fuoco e zolfo, come pure sopra i numerosi popoli che son con lui,	22 I shal punish him with plague and bloodshed, and rain down torrential rain, hailstones, fire andbrimstone on him, on his troops and on the many nations with him.
23 e farò conoscere la mia grandezza e santità, e mi farò conoscere agli occhi di molte nazioni, e sapranno che io sono il Signore ».	23 I shal display my greatness and holiness and bring the many nations to acknowledge me; and theywil know that I am Yahweh." '
