1 John 1

1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon and touched with our hands, concerning the word of life--	1 Lo que existía desde el principio, | lo que hemos oído, lo que hemos visto con nuestros propios ojos, | lo que contemplamos y palparon nuestras manos | acerca del Verbo de la vida;
2 the life was made manifest, and we saw it, and testify to it, and proclaim to you the eternal life which was with the Father and was made manifest to us--	2 pues la Vida se hizo visible, y nosotros hemos visto, damos testimonio y os anunciamos la vida eterna que estaba junto al Padre y se nos manifestó.
3 that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you may have fellowship with us; and our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.	3 Eso que hemos visto y oído os lo anunciamos, para que estéis en comunión con nosotros y nuestra comunión es con el Padre y con su Hijo Jesucristo.
4 And we are writing this that our joy may be complete.	4 Os escribimos esto, para que nuestro gozo sea completo.
5 This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light and in him is no darkness at all.	5 Este es el mensaje que hemos oído de él y que os anunciamos: Dios es luz y en él no hay tiniebla alguna.
6 If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not live according to the truth;	6 Si decimos que estamos en comunión con él y vivimos en las tinieblas, mentimos y no obramos la verdad.
7 but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.	7 Pero, si caminamos en la luz, lo mismo que él está en la luz, entonces estamos en comunión unos con otros, y la sangre de su Hijo Jesús nos limpia de todo pecado.
8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.	8 Si decimos que no hemos pecado, nos engañamos y la verdad no está en nosotros.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.	9 Pero, si confesamos nuestros pecados, él, que es fiel y justo, nos perdonará los pecados y nos limpiará de toda injusticia.
10 If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.	10 Si decimos que no hemos pecado, lo hacemos mentiroso y su palabra no está en nosotros.
