2 Timothy 4

1 I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom:	1 Te conjuro en presencia de Dios y de Cristo Jesús que ha de venir a juzgar a vivos y muertos, por su Manifestación y por su Reino:
2 preach the word, be urgent in season and out of season, convince, rebuke, and exhort, be unfailing in patience and in teaching.	2 Proclama la Palabra, insiste a tiempo y a destiempo, reprende, amenaza, exhorta con toda paciencia y doctrina.
3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own likings,	3 Porque vendrá un tiempo en que los hombres no soportarán la doctrina sana, sino que, arrastrados por su propias pasiones, se harán con un montón de maestros por el prurito de oír novedades;
4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander into myths.	4 apartarán sus oídos de la verdad y se volverán a las fábulas.
5 As for you, always be steady, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfil your ministry.	5 Tú, en cambio, pórtate en todo con prudencia, soporta los sufrimientos, realiza la función de evangelizador, desempeña a la perfección tu ministerio.
6 For I am already on the point of being sacrificed; the time of my departure has come.	6 Porque yo estoy a punto de ser derramado en libación y el momento de mi partida es inminente.
7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.	7 He competido en la noble competición, he llegado a la meta en la carrera, he conservado la fe.
8 Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.	8 Y desde ahora me aguarda la corona de la justicia que aquel Día me entregará el Señor, el justo Juez; y no solamente a mí, sino también a todos los que hayan esperado con amor su Manifestación.
9 Do your best to come to me soon.	9 Apresúrate a venir a mí cuanto antes,
10 For Demas, in love with this present world, has deserted me and gone to Thessalonica; Crescens has gone to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.	10 porque me ha abandonado Demas por amor a este mundo y se ha marchado a Tesalónica; Crescente, a Galacia; Tito, a Dalmacia.
11 Luke alone is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you; for he is very useful in serving me.	11 El único que está conmigo es Lucas. Toma a Marcos y tráele contigo, pues me es muy útil para el ministerio.
12 Tychicus I have sent to Ephesus.	12 A Tíquico le he mandado a Efeso.
13 When you come, bring the cloak that I left with Carpus at Troas, also the books, and above all the parchments.	13 Cuando vengas, tráeme el abrigo que me dejé en Tróada, en casa de Carpo, y los libros, en especial los pergaminos.
14 Alexander the coppersmith did me great harm; the Lord will requite him for his deeds.	14 Alejandro, el herrero, me ha hecho mucho mal. El Señor le retribuirá según sus obras.
15 Beware of him yourself, for he strongly opposed our message.	15 Tú también guárdate de él, pues se ha opuesto tenazmente a nuestra predicación.
16 At my first defense no one took my part; all deserted me. May it not be charged against them!	16 En mi primera defensa nadie me asistió, antes bien todos me desampararon. Que no se les tome en cuenta.
17 But the Lord stood by me and gave me strength to proclaim the message fully, that all the Gentiles might hear it. So I was rescued from the lion's mouth.	17 Pero el Señor me asistió y me dio fuerzas para que, por mi medio, se proclamara plenamente el mensaje y lo oyeran todos los gentiles. Y fui librado de la boca del león.
18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil and save me for his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.	18 El Señor me librará de toda obra mala y me salvará guardándome para su Reino celestial. A él la gloria por los siglos de los siglos. Amén.
19 Greet Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus.	19 Saluda a Prisca y Aquila y a la familia de Onesíforo.
20 Erastus remained at Corinth; Trophimus I left ill at Miletus.	20 Erasto se quedó en Corinto; a Trófimo le dejé enfermo en Mileto.
