1 When one of you has a grievance against a brother, does he dare go to law before the unrighteous instead of the saints?	1 - Qualcuno di voi che abbia qualche lite con un altro, ha cuore di farsi giudicare da un tribunale d'ingiusti e non dai santi?
2 Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases?	2 Non sapete voi che questo mondo lo giudicheranno i santi? e se tra voi il mondo sarà giudicato, siete forse indegni di giudicare in cose di pochissimo rilievo?
3 Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more, matters pertaining to this life!	3 Non sapete che anche gli angeli giudicheremo? quanto più le cose del secolo?
4 If then you have such cases, why do you lay them before those who are least esteemed by the church?	4 Se dunque avete litigi su cose di questa vita, sceglierete come giudici quelli che nella Chiesa non hanno alcun valore?
5 I say this to your shame. Can it be that there is no man among you wise enough to decide between members of the brotherhood,	5 Ve lo dico per farvi arrossire. O non vi è dunque tra voi nessun saggio, il quale possa pronunziare un giudizio tra fratello e fratello?
6 but brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers?	6 e il fratello invece, avendo lite col fratello, va a farsi giudicare dagli infedeli?
7 To have lawsuits at all with one another is defeat for you. Why not rather suffer wrong? Why not rather be defrauded?	7 Già, in tutti i modi, è mancamento vostro l'aver liti e processi tra di voi! Perchè non soffrire piuttosto qualche ingiustizia? perchè non piuttosto patire qualche privazione?
8 But you yourselves wrong and defraud, and that even your own brethren.	8 Ma voi invece fate ingiustizia e portate danno, e questo a fratelli.
9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals,	9 O non sapete che gente ingiusta non erediterà il regno di Dio? Non illudetevi; nè fornicatori, nè idolatri, nè adulteri;
10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God.	10 nè effeminati, nè pederasti, nè ladri, nè avari, nè ubriaconi, nè maldicenti, nè rapaci erediteranno il regno di Dio.
11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.	11 E tale era qualcuno di voi; ma siete stati lavati, siete stati santificati, siete stati giustificati nel nome del Signore Gesù Cristo e nello Spirito del Dio nostro.
12 "All things are lawful for me," but not all things are helpful. "All things are lawful for me," but I will not be enslaved by anything.	12 Tutto mi è lecito, ma non tutto giova; tutto mi è lecito, ma non mi lascerò dominare da cosa alcuna.
13 "Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food"--and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is not meant for immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.	13 I cibi sono pel ventre, e il ventre per i cibi; ma Dio questo e quelli ridurrà a nulla. Ma il corpo non è per fornicazione, bensì per il Signore, e il Signore per il corpo;
14 And God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power.	14 e Dio come risuscitò il Signore, risusciterà anche noi per il suo potere.
15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I therefore take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never!	15 Non sapete che i nostri corpi sono membra di Cristo? or dunque le membra di Cristo le farò membra d'una meretrice? non sia mai!
16 Do you not know that he who joins himself to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, "The two shall become one."	16 O non sapete che chi si unisce con una meretrice forma un corpo solo con lei? poichè saranno, dice, due in una carne sola.
17 But he who is united to the Lord becomes one spirit with him.	17 Ma chi s'unisce al Signore forma unico spirito con lui.
18 Shun immorality. Every other sin which a man commits is outside the body; but the immoral man sins against his own body.	18 Fuggite la fornicazione. Qualunque peccato faccia l'uomo è fuori del corpo; ma il fornicatore commette un peccato rispetto al proprio corpo.
19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God? You are not your own;	19 O non sapete che il corpo vostro è tempio del Santo Spirito che è in voi, [Spirito] che avete da Dio? e non siete di voi stessi,
20 you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.	20 perchè siete stati comprati a caro prezzo. Glorificate dunque Iddio, e portatelo nel vostro corpo.
