1 Corinthians 6

1 When one of you has a grievance against a brother, does he dare go to law before the unrighteous instead of the saints?	1 Come! v'è tra voi qualcuno che, avendo lite con un altro, ar­disca chiamare in giudizio davanti agli ingiusti, piuttosto che dinanzi ai santi?
2 Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases?	2 E non sapete che i santi giudicheranno il mondo? E se da voi sarà giudicato il mondo, siete voi indegni di giudicare di piccolezze?
3 Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more, matters pertaining to this life!	3 Non sapete che giudicheremo gli Angeli? Quanto più (potremo giudicare) affari mondani?
4 If then you have such cases, why do you lay them before those who are least esteemed by the church?	4 Se dunque avrete liti per gli affari di questa vita, scegliete come giudici i men considerati nella Chiesa.
5 I say this to your shame. Can it be that there is no man among you wise enough to decide between members of the brotherhood,	5 Lo dico per farvi arrossire. Così dunque non v'è tra voi nemmeno un uomo tanto saggio da poter giudicare tra fratello e fratello?
6 but brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers?	6 Invece il fratello processa il fratello, e dinanzi agli infedeli?
7 To have lawsuits at all with one another is defeat for you. Why not rather suffer wrong? Why not rather be defrauded?	7 E' già anzi un delitto per voi l'aver tra voi delle liti. Perchè non patite piuttosto qualche torto? Perchè piuttosto non soffrite qualche danno?
8 But you yourselves wrong and defraud, and that even your own brethren.	8 Invece siete voi che fate ingiuria, che recate danno, e ciò ai fratelli.
9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals,	9 Non sapete voi che gl'ingiusti non possederanno il regno di Dio? Badate di non errare: nè i fornicatori, nè gl'idolatri, nè gli adulteri,
10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God.	10 nè gli effeminati, nè i sodomiti, nè i ladri, nè gli avari, nè gli ubriaconi, nè i maldicenti, nè i rapaci possederanno il regno di Dio.
11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.	11 E tali eravate alcuni; ma siete stati lavati, ma siete stati santificati, ma siete stati giustificati nel nome del Signore nostro Gesù Cristo e mediante lo Spirito del nostro Dio.
12 "All things are lawful for me," but not all things are helpful. "All things are lawful for me," but I will not be enslaved by anything.	12 Tutto mi è permesso, ma non tutto è utile. Tutto mi è lecito, ma io non mi renderò schiavo di cosa alcuna.
13 "Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food"--and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is not meant for immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.	13 Il cibo per il ventre, e il ventre per i cibi; ma Dio distruggerà l'uno e l'altro. Or il corpo non è per la fornicazione, ma per il Signore, e il Signore per il corpo;
14 And God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power.	14 e Dio che ha risuscitato il Signore, risusciterà anche noi colla sua potenza.
15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I therefore take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never!	15 Non sapete voi che i vostri corpi sono membra di Cristo? Prenderò dunque le membra di Cristo per farne membra d'una meretrice? Non sia mai!
16 Do you not know that he who joins himself to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, "The two shall become one."	16 Non mi peto voi che chi si unisce ad una meretrice diviene un sol corpo con essa? Lo dice: I due diventeranno una sola carne.
17 But he who is united to the Lord becomes one spirit with him.	17 Chi invece s'unisce al Signore è un sol spirito con lui.
18 Shun immorality. Every other sin which a man commits is outside the body; but the immoral man sins against his own body.	18 Fuggite In fornicazione. Qualunque altro peccato commesso dall'uomo è fuori del corpo, ma il fornicatore pecca contro il proprio corpo.
19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God? You are not your own;	19 Non sapete voi che il vostro corpo è tempio dello Spirito Santo, che è in voi, che è stato a voi dato da Dio, e che voi non appartenete a voi stessi?
20 you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.	20 Certo che siete stati comprati a caro prezzo. Glorificate e portate Dio nel vostro corpo.
