1 Now after the sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the sepulchre.	1 Als der Sabbat vorüber war und der Morgen des ersten Wochentages anbrach, kamen Maria Magdalena und die andere Maria, um nach dem Grab zu sehen.
2 And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone, and sat upon it.	2 Und siehe, es entstand ein großes Erdbeben; denn ein Engel des Herrn stieg vom Himmel herab, trat hinzu, wälzte den Stein weg und setzte sich darauf.
3 His appearance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow.	3 Sein Aussehen war wie ein Blitz, und sein Gewand war weiß wie Schnee.
4 And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men.	4 Aus Furcht vor ihm erbebten die Wächter und waren wie tot.
5 But the angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid; for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.	5 Der Engel aber wandte sich zu den Frauen und sprach: "Fürchtet euch nicht! Ich weiß, ihr sucht Jesus, den Gekreuzigten.
6 He is not here; for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.	6 Er ist nicht hier; denn er ist auferweckt worden, wie er gesagt hat; kommt und seht den Platz, wo er lag!
7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. Lo, I have told you."	7 Geht eilends hin und sagt seinen Jüngern, daß er auferweckt ist von den Toten! Seht, er geht euch voraus nach Galiläa; dort werdet ihr ihn sehen. Seht, ich habe es euch gesagt."
8 So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.	8 Da gingen sie eilends, in Furcht und großer Freude, vom Grabe weg und liefen, um seinen Jüngern die Kunde zu bringen.
9 And behold, Jesus met them and said, "Hail!" And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshipped him.	9 Und siehe, Jesus kam ihnen entgegen und sprach: "Seid gegrüßt!" Sie traten hinzu, umfaßten seine Füße und beteten ihn an.
10 Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid; go and tell my brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see me."	10 Da sprach Jesus zu ihnen: "Fürchtet euch nicht! Geht hin und bringt meinen Brüdern die Botschaft, sie sollen nach Galiläa gehen; dort werden sie mich sehen."
11 While they were going, behold, some of the guard went into the city and told the chief priests all that had taken place.	11 Während sie nun hingingen, kamen einige von den Wachen in die Stadt und berichteten den Hohenpriestern alles, was sich zugetragen hatte.
12 And when they had assembled with the elders and taken counsel, they gave a sum of money to the soldiers	12 Da versammelten sie sich mit den Ältesten, hielten Rat und gaben den Soldaten viel Geld mit der Weisung:
13 and said, "Tell people, 'His disciples came by night and stole him away while we were asleep.'	13 "Sagt: Seine Jünger sind in der Nacht gekommen und haben ihn gestohlen, während wir schliefen.
14 And if this comes to the governor's ears, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble."	14 Sollte dies dem Statthalter zu Ohren kommen, so wollen wir ihn beschwichtigen und für eure Sicherheit sorgen."
15 So they took the money and did as they were directed; and this story has been spread among the Jews to this day.	15 Die nahmen das Geld und taten, wie man sie angeleitet hatte. So verbreitete sich dieses Gerede unter den Juden bis auf den heutigen Tag.
16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them.	16 Die elf Jünger aber gingen nach Galiläa auf den Berg, wohin sie Jesus beschieden hatte.
17 And when they saw him they worshipped him; but some doubted.	17 Und da sie ihn sahen, beteten sie ihn an; einige aber zweifelten.
18 And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.	18 Da trat Jesus vor sie und sprach zu ihnen: "Mir ist alle Gewalt gegeben im Himmel und auf Erden.
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,	19 Geht darum hin und macht alle Völker zu Jüngern, indem ihr sie tauft auf den Namen des Vaters und des Sohnes und des Heiligen Geistes
20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age."	20 und sie lehrt, alles zu halten, was ich euch aufgetragen habe. Seht, ich bin mit euch alle Tage bis zum Ende der Welt."
