Micah 1

1 The word of the LORD that came to Micah of Moresheth in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.	1 Parola di Jahvè, che fu rivolta a Michea il Morashtita, al tempo di Jotam, Akhaz, Ezechia, re di Giuda; egli la ebbe in visione riguardo a Samaria e a Gerusalemme.
2 Hear, you peoples, all of you; hearken, O earth, and all that is in it; and let the Lord GOD be a witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.	2 Udite, popoli tutti, ascolta, o terra e ciò che la riempie: il Signore Jahvè sia testimone contro di voi, il Signore del suo santo tempio.
3 For behold, the LORD is coming forth out of his place, and will come down and tread upon the high places of the earth.	3 Poiché ecco: Jahvè esce dalla sua residenza, scende e cammina sulle alture della terra.
4 And the mountains will melt under him and the valleys will be cleft, like wax before the fire, like waters poured down a steep place.	4 I monti si fondono sotto il suo passo e le valli scricchiolano: come la cera vicino al fuoco, come l’acqua che si riversa per una china.
5 All this is for the transgression of Jacob and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? Is it not Samaria? And what is the sin of the house of Judah? Is it not Jerusalem?	5 Tutto ciò a causa della trasgressione di Giacobbe e del peccato della casa di Israele. Qual è il peccato di Giacobbe? Non forse quello di Samaria? E qual è il peccato di Giuda? Non forse quello di Gerusalemme?
6 Therefore I will make Samaria a heap in the open country, a place for planting vineyards; and I will pour down her stones into the valley, and uncover her foundations.	6 Ma io farò di Samaria un mucchio di ruderi in campagna, delle piantagioni di vigne e rovescerò nella valle le sue pietre, metterò allo scoperto le sue fondamenta.
7 All her images shall be beaten to pieces, all her hires shall be burned with fire, and all her idols I will lay waste; for from the hire of a harlot she gathered them, and to the hire of a harlot they shall return.	7 Tutte le sue statue saranno spezzate tutti i suoi doni andranno bruciati nel fuoco; di tutti i loro idoli io farò uno scempio! Poiché furono messi insieme da doni di prostituta, e in doni di prostituta torneranno.
8 For this I will lament and wail; I will go stripped and naked; I will make lamentation like the jackals, and mourning like the ostriches.	8 Perciò farò lamenti e urli, andrò scalzo e nudo; intonerò un lamento come i tannim e un ululato come gli struzzi.
9 For her wound is incurable; and it has come to Judah, it has reached to the gate of my people, to Jerusalem.	9 Poiché è insanabile la sua piaga, qualora venga fino a Giuda: egli giunge fino alla porta del mio popolo, fino a Gerusalemme.
10 Tell it not in Gath, weep not at all; in Beth-le-aphrah roll yourselves in the dust.	10 In Gat non giubilate, in Bacha pure piangerete; in Bet-Leafra avvoltolatevi nella polvere.
11 Pass on your way, inhabitants of Shaphir, in nakedness and shame; the inhabitants of Zaanan do not come forth; the wailing of Beth-ezel shall take away from you its standing place.	11 Si fa squillare la tromba per te, abitante di Shafir. Dalla città non esce l’abitante di Zaanan; dal suo fondamento viene strappata via Bet-Haezel, dal luogo dove è situata.
12 For the inhabitants of Maroth wait anxiously for good, because evil has come down from the LORD to the gate of Jerusalem.	12 Come può aspettarsi del bene l’abitante di Marot, poiché la sventura è discesa da: Jahvè fino alle porte di Gerusalemme?
13 Harness the steeds to the chariots, inhabitants of Lachish; you were the beginning of sin to the daughter of Zion, for in you were found the transgressions of Israel.	13 Attacca al carro i corsieri, abitante di Lachish, essa è stata il principio del peccato per la figlia di Sion: poiché in te si possonp trovare i trascorsi di Israele.
14 Therefore you shall give parting gifts to Moresheth-gath; the houses of Achzib shall be a deceitful thing to the kings of Israel.	14 Perciò si dovrà dare l’addio a Moreshet-Gat! Bet-Achzib sarà fallace per i re di Israele.
15 I will again bring a conqueror upon you, inhabitants of Mareshah; the glory of Israel shall come to Adullam.	15 Ancora una volta verrà da te un occupante, o abitante di Maresha; per sempre andrà in rovina Adullam, la gloria di Israele!
16 Make yourselves bald and cut off your hair, for the children of your delight; make yourselves as bald as the eagle, for they shall go from you into exile.	16 Tosati, rasati per i tuoi figli diletti: allarga la tua tonsura come l’avvoltoio perché sono deportati lontano da te.
