Ezekiel 37

1 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley; it was full of bones.	1 Die Hand des Herrn kam über mich; er führte mich im Geist des Herrn hinaus und ließ mich mitten in einer Talebene nieder, die angefüllt war mit Gebeinen.
2 And he led me round among them; and behold, there were very many upon the valley; and lo, they were very dry.	2 Er ließ mich ringsumher an ihnen vorbeigehen, und siehe, überaus zahlreich lagen sie auf der Oberfläche des Tales; sie aber waren vollständig verdorrt.
3 And he said to me, "Son of man, can these bones live?" And I answered, "O Lord GOD, thou knowest."	3 Da sprach er zu mir: "Menschensohn, werden wohl diese Gebeine sich wieder beleben?" Ich aber antwortete: "Gebieter und Herr, du weißt es!"
4 Again he said to me, "Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.	4 Dann sagte er zu mir: "Weissage über diese Gebeine und rede sie an: Ihr verdorrten Gebeine, hört das Wort des Herrn!
5 Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live.	5 So spricht der Gebieter und Herr zu diesen Gebeinen: Siehe, ich lasse Geist in euch kommen, und ihr werdet lebendig werden.
6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will cause flesh to come upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live; and you shall know that I am the LORD."	6 Ich lege Sehnen an euch und umkleide euch mit Fleisch; ich überziehe euch mit Haut und bringe Geist in euch, daß ihr lebendig werdet und erkennt, daß ich der Herr bin."
7 So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold, a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to its bone.	7 Ich weissagte, wie mir befohlen. Da entstand ein Rascheln, während ich weissagte, und siehe da, es gab ein Rauschen; die Gebeine rückten aneinander, Knochen zu Knochen.
8 And as I looked, there were sinews on them, and flesh had come upon them, and skin had covered them; but there was no breath in them.	8 Ich schaute, und siehe, Sehnen bildeten sich an ihnen, Fleisch wuchs empor, und Haut spannte sich oben darüber; doch Geist war in ihnen noch nicht.
9 Then he said to me, "Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, Thus says the Lord GOD: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live."	9 Da sprach er zu mir: "Weissage zum Geist, weissage, Menschensohn, und rede zum Geist: So spricht der Gebieter und Herr: Von den vier Windrichtungen komme, o Geist, und blase diese Getöteten an, daß sie leben!"
10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great host.	10 Ich weissagte, wie er mir befohlen hatte. Da strömte der Geist in sie hinein; sie wurden lebendig und stellten sich aufrecht, eine überaus große Heerschar.
11 Then he said to me, "Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, 'Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost; we are clean cut off.'	11 Da rief er mir zu: "Menschensohn, jene Gebeine bedeuten das ganze Haus Israel. Fürwahr, sie sprechen: "Verdorrt sind unsere Gebeine, entschwunden ist unsere Hoffnung, mit uns ist es zu Ende."
12 Therefore prophesy, and say to them, Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I will open your graves, and raise you from your graves, O my people; and I will bring you home into the land of Israel.	12 Darum weissage und rede zu ihnen: So spricht der Gebieter und Herr: Siehe, ich öffne eure Gräber und hole euch aus euren Grabstätten heraus als mein Volk. Ich bringe euch heim ins Land Israel.
13 And you shall know that I am the LORD, when I open your graves, and raise you from your graves, O my people.	13 Dann werdet ihr erkennen, daß ich der Herr bin, wenn ich eure Gräber öffne und euch aus euren Grabstätten als mein Volk heraushole.
14 And I will put my Spirit within you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land; then you shall know that I, the LORD, have spoken, and I have done it, says the LORD."	14 Ich lege meinen Geist in euch, daß ihr lebendig werdet, und versetze euch in euer Heimatland. Dann werdet ihr erkennen, daß ich, der Herr, gesprochen und gehandelt habe."
15 The word of the LORD came to me:	15 Das Wort des Herrn erging an mich:
16 "Son of man, take a stick and write on it, 'For Judah, and the children of Israel associated with him'; then take another stick and write upon it, 'For Joseph (the stick of Ephraim) and all the house of Israel associated with him';	16 "Du aber, Menschensohn, nimm dir ein Stück Holz und schreibe darauf: "Juda und die mit ihm verbündeten Söhne Israels"; dann nimm ein anderes Holzstück und schreibe darauf: "Joseph, Holzstab Ephraims, und das ganze mit ihm verbündete Haus Israel"!
17 and join them together into one stick, that they may become one in your hand.	17 Dann lege sie aneinander, daß sie zu einem einzigen Holze werden, so daß sie ein Ganzes bilden in deiner Hand!
18 And when your people say to you, 'Will you not show us what you mean by these?'	18 Erkundigen sich dann die Söhne deines Volkes bei dir: "Willst du uns nicht mitteilen, was das bedeutet?",
19 say to them, Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I am about to take the stick of Joseph (which is in the hand of Ephraim) and the tribes of Israel associated with him; and I will join with it the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, that they may be one in my hand.	19 so antworte ihnen: So spricht der Gebieter und Herr: Siehe, ich nehme das Holzstück Josephs, das Ephraim und den mit ihm verbündeten Stämmen Israels zugehört, füge es zum Holzstück Judas hinzu und lasse sie zu einem einzigen Holz zusammenwachsen, so daß sie ein Ganzes bilden in meiner Hand.
20 When the sticks on which you write are in your hand before their eyes,	20 Die beiden Holzstücke, worauf du geschrieben, sollen in deiner Hand für sie sichtbar sein.
21 then say to them, Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I will take the people of Israel from the nations among which they have gone, and will gather them from all sides, and bring them to their own land;	21 Dann sprich zu ihnen: So spricht der Gebieter und Herr: Fürwahr, ich hole die Söhne Israels aus den Völkern heraus, zu denen sie ziehen mußten, und schare sie von überallher zusammen; ich bringe sie in ihre Heimat zurück.
22 and I will make them one nation in the land, upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king over them all; and they shall be no longer two nations, and no longer divided into two kingdoms.	22 Ich mache sie zu einem einzigen Volk in meinem Lande und auf den Bergen Israels; ein einziger König soll über sie alle herrschen; sie sollen nicht mehr zwei Völker sein und sich künftig nicht mehr in zwei Königreiche spalten.
23 They shall not defile themselves any more with their idols and their detestable things, or with any of their transgressions; but I will save them from all the backslidings in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.	23 Dann sollen sie sich nicht mehr mit ihren Götzen und ihren Scheusalen und all ihren Vergehungen verunreinigen. Ich mache sie frei von all ihren Treulosigkeiten, durch die sie sich versündigt haben, und reinige sie; sie sollen mein Volk sein, und ich will ihr Gott sein.
24 "My servant David shall be king over them; and they shall all have one shepherd. They shall follow my ordinances and be careful to observe my statutes.	24 Mein Knecht David soll als König über sie herrschen; nur einen einzigen Hirten werden sie insgesamt haben. Sie werden in meinen Vorschriften wandeln, meine Gebote beobachten und sie vollbringen.
25 They shall dwell in the land where your fathers dwelt that I gave to my servant Jacob; they and their children and their children's children shall dwell there for ever; and David my servant shall be their prince for ever.	25 Sie werden dann in dem Lande wohnen, das ich meinem Knecht Jakob gegeben, und wo ihre Väter gewohnt haben. Sie werden für dauernd darin wohnen, sie selbst, ihre Kinder und Kindeskinder. David, mein Knecht, wird ihr Fürst auf ewig sein.
26 I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; and I will bless them and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.	26 Ich schließe mit ihnen einen Heilsbund, ein immerwährender Bund mit ihnen soll es sein. Ich erweise mich gnädig an ihnen, mache sie zahlreich und stelle mein Heiligtum in ihrer Mitte für ewig auf.
27 My dwelling place shall be with them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.	27 Meine Wohnstätte wird bei ihnen sein. Ich werde ihr Gott sein, und sie werden mein Volk sein.
28 Then the nations will know that I the LORD sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary is in the midst of them for evermore."	28 Dann erkennen die Heidenvölker, daß ich, der Herr, es bin, der Israel heiligt, wenn mein Heiligtum für ewig in ihrer Mitte steht."
