Ezekiel 37

1 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley; it was full of bones.	1 La mano di Dio si fece sopra me, e menommi nelle spirito di Dio, e lasciommi nel mezzo del campo lo quale era pieno d' ossa;
2 And he led me round among them; and behold, there were very many upon the valley; and lo, they were very dry.	2 E menommi attorno a quelle per lo giro; ed erano molte ossa sopra la faccia del campo, e molto secche.
3 And he said to me, "Son of man, can these bones live?" And I answered, "O Lord GOD, thou knowest."	3 E disse (Iddio) a me: o figliuolo d' uomo, credi che queste ossa vivano? (Quasi domandavali Iddio, e dicevagli s'egli credea che vivessono), e (egli) dissi: o Signore, tu lo sai bene.
4 Again he said to me, "Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.	4 E lui disse a me: indovina di queste ossa, e dirai loro: o ossa secche, udite la parola di Dio:
5 Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live.	5 Questo dice lo Signore Iddio di queste ossa: ecco, io metterò lo spirito in voi, e viverete.
6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will cause flesh to come upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live; and you shall know that I am the LORD."	6 E darò li nerbi sopra voi, e farò crescere sopra voi la carne, e distenderò sopra voi la cotenna, e metterò lo spirito in voi, e viverete; e saprete ch' io sono Iddio.
7 So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold, a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to its bone.	7 E io profetai come m' avea comandato; e (subitamente) quando io profetava, fu fatto uno romore e una grande commozione; e l'ossa s'accostarono all' ossa, ciascun osso alla sua giuntura.
8 And as I looked, there were sinews on them, and flesh had come upon them, and skin had covered them; but there was no breath in them.	8 E vidi che li nerbi vennero sopra loro, e la carne venne sopra li nerbi; e la coteca si distese loro di sopra, e non aveano spirito.
9 Then he said to me, "Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, Thus says the Lord GOD: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live."	9 E disse Iddio a me: indovina allo spirito; indovina, figliuolo d' uomo, e dirai allo spirito: questo dice lo Signore Iddio: o spirito, vieni dalle parti de' quattro venti, e soffia sopra questi morti, acciò che si facciano vivi.
10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great host.	10 E profetai come (Iddio) m' avea comandato; e lo spirito entrò in loro, e furono vive carni (come una grande moltitudine di gente); furono quasi come uno grande esercito, e istettono sopra i loro piedi.
11 Then he said to me, "Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, 'Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost; we are clean cut off.'	11 E disse Iddio a me: o figliuolo d' uomo, queste ossa tutte sono la casa d' Israel; egli dicono: le nostre ossa diventorono aride, e la nostra speranza perìe, e noi fummo tagliati.
12 Therefore prophesy, and say to them, Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I will open your graves, and raise you from your graves, O my people; and I will bring you home into the land of Israel.	12 E però indovina, e dirai loro: questo dice lo Signore Iddio: ecco io aprirò li vostri sepolcri, e trarrovvi de' vostri sepolcri, o popolo mio, e metterò voi nella (vostra) terra d' Israel.
13 And you shall know that I am the LORD, when I open your graves, and raise you from your graves, O my people.	13 E saprete ch' io sono Iddio, quando io averò aperti li vostri sepolcri, e averovvi tratti delli vostri tumuli, popolo mio;
14 And I will put my Spirit within you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land; then you shall know that I, the LORD, have spoken, and I have done it, says the LORD."	14 e averò messo lo mio spirito in voi, e viverete, e farovvi riposare sopra la vostra terra; e saprete ch' io Signore Iddio hoe parlato, e fecilo, dice lo Signore Iddio.
15 The word of the LORD came to me:	15 E disse Iddio a me:
16 "Son of man, take a stick and write on it, 'For Judah, and the children of Israel associated with him'; then take another stick and write upon it, 'For Joseph (the stick of Ephraim) and all the house of Israel associated with him';	16 O tu, figliuolo d' uomo, piglia uno legno, e scrivi sopra quello: a Giuda e a' figliuoli d'Israel e alli suoi compagni; e togli uno altro legno, e scrivi sopra quello: Iosef, legno di Efraim, e di tutta la casa d' Israel e de' suoi compagni.
17 and join them together into one stick, that they may become one in your hand.	17 E aggiugni quelli, l'uno all' altro, a te in uno legno; e fiano in una unione nella tua mano.
18 And when your people say to you, 'Will you not show us what you mean by these?'	18 Quando li figliuoli del tuo popolo dicessono a te, parlando: or non indichi tu a noi quello che tu vuoli di costoro?
19 say to them, Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I am about to take the stick of Joseph (which is in the hand of Ephraim) and the tribes of Israel associated with him; and I will join with it the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, that they may be one in my hand.	19 e tu parlerai a loro: questo dice lo Signore Iddio: ecco io piglierò lo legno di Iosef, lo quale è nella mano di Efraim, e le tribù d' Israel (cioè le schiatte), che li sono aggiunte; e darolle insieme (cioè quelle schiatte) collo legno di Giuda, e faronne uno legno; e saranno uno nella sua mano.
20 When the sticks on which you write are in your hand before their eyes,	20 E saranno li legni, sopra li quali tu averai scritto, nella tua mano inanzi a' loro occhi.
21 then say to them, Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I will take the people of Israel from the nations among which they have gone, and will gather them from all sides, and bring them to their own land;	21 E dirai a loro: questo dice lo Signore Iddio: ecco io torrò li figliuoli d' Israel del mezzo delle nazioni, alle quali andarono, e radunerolli d'ogni parte, e rimenerolli alla loro terra.
22 and I will make them one nation in the land, upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king over them all; and they shall be no longer two nations, and no longer divided into two kingdoms.	22 E farolli essere una gente nella terra nei monti d' Israel, e sarà uno re comandante a tutti; e non saranno più due genti, e non si divideranno più in due regni.
23 They shall not defile themselves any more with their idols and their detestable things, or with any of their transgressions; but I will save them from all the backslidings in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.	23 E non si corromperanno più nelli loro idoli e nelle loro abominazioni (e in tutti i regni) e in tutte le loro iniquitadi, e farolli salvi di tutte le loro sedie nelle quali egli peccarono, e monderolli; e saranno mio popolo, e io sarò loro Iddio.
24 "My servant David shall be king over them; and they shall all have one shepherd. They shall follow my ordinances and be careful to observe my statutes.	24 E lo mio servo, lo re David sopra loro, e sarà pure uno pastore di tutti loro; e andranno nelli miei giudicii, e guarderanno li miei comandamenti, e faranno quelli.
25 They shall dwell in the land where your fathers dwelt that I gave to my servant Jacob; they and their children and their children's children shall dwell there for ever; and David my servant shall be their prince for ever.	25 E abiteranno sopra la terra la quale io diedi al mio servo Iacob, nella quale abitarono li vostri padri; e abiteranno sopra quella egli e i loro figliuoli e li figliuoli de' loro figliuoli in sempiterno; e lo mio servo David sarà sopr' a loro principe in perpetuo.
26 I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; and I will bless them and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.	26 E farò con loro lo patto di pace, e sarà patto in sempiterno con loro; e fonderolli e moltipliIcherolli e darò la mia santificazione nel mezzo di loro in perpetuo.
27 My dwelling place shall be with them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.	27 E lo mio tabernacolo sarà in loro; e sarò loro Iddio, ed egli saranno a me popolo.
28 Then the nations will know that I the LORD sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary is in the midst of them for evermore."	28 E sapranno le genti ch' io sono Iddio santificatore d' Israel, quando la mia santificazione sarà nel mezzo di loro in sempiterno.
