Jeremiah 35

1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah:	1 Questa è la parola che fu rivolta a Geremia da parte del Signore ai giorni di Ioiakìm, figlio di Giosia, re di Giuda, in questi termini:
2 "Go to the house of the Rechabites, and speak with them, and bring them to the house of the LORD, into one of the chambers; then offer them wine to drink."	2 "Va' alla casa dei Recabiti, parla loro, conducili alla casa del Signore, in una delle camere e da' loro da bere vino".
3 So I took Ja-azaniah the son of Jeremiah, son of Habazziniah, and his brothers, and all his sons, and the whole house of the Rechabites.	3 Presi allora Iazanià, figlio di Geremia, figlio di Cabassinià, e suo fratello con tutti i suoi figli e tutta la casa dei Recabiti.
4 I brought them to the house of the LORD into the chamber of the sons of Hanan the son of Igdaliah, the man of God, which was near the chamber of the princes, above the chamber of Ma-aseiah the son of Shallum, keeper of the threshold.	4 Io li condussi alla casa del Signore nella camera dei figli di Canàn figlio di Iegdalìa, uomo di Dio, la quale è a fianco alla camera dei prìncipi, situata al di sopra della camera di Maasià, figlio di Sallùm, custode della soglia.
5 Then I set before the Rechabites pitchers full of wine, and cups; and I said to them, "Drink wine."	5 Posi dinanzi ai figli della casa dei Recabiti dei boccali pieni di vino e delle coppe; poi dissi loro: "Bevete vino!".
6 But they answered, "We will drink no wine, for Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, commanded us, 'You shall not drink wine, neither you nor your sons for ever;	6 Ma essi risposero: "Non beviamo vino, perché Ionadàb, figlio di Recàb, nostro padre, ci ha comandato così: "Non berrete vino voi e i vostri figli in eterno!
7 you shall not build a house; you shall not sow seed; you shall not plant or have a vineyard; but you shall live in tents all your days, that you may live many days in the land where you sojourn.'	7 Non costruirete case, né seminerete semenza, né pianterete vigne e neppure ne possederete, ma abiterete nelle tende tutti i vostri giorni affinché possiate vivere molti giorni sulla superficie della terra dove voi andrete peregrinando".
8 We have obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, in all that he commanded us, to drink no wine all our days, ourselves, our wives, our sons, or our daughters,	8 Noi abbiamo dato ascolto alla voce di Ionadàb, figlio di Recàb, nostro padre, in tutto ciò che ci ha ordinato, cosicché non beviamo vino per tutti i nostri giorni, noi, le nostre donne, i nostri figli e le nostre figlie;
9 and not to build houses to dwell in. We have no vineyard or field or seed;	9 né costruiamo case per nostre abitazioni e non possediamo vigna né campo né seminato,
10 but we have lived in tents, and have obeyed and done all that Jonadab our father commanded us.	10 e abitiamo nelle tende. Obbediamo, così, e facciamo in conformità a quanto ci ha ordinato Ionadàb nostro padre.
11 But when Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came up against the land, we said, 'Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans and the army of the Syrians.' So we are living in Jerusalem."	11 Ma è accaduto che quando Nabucodònosor, re di Babilonia, è salito verso il paese, allora abbiamo detto: "Venite e andiamo a Gerusalemme per sfuggire all'esercito dei Caldei e all'esercito di Aram. Per questo abitiamo a Gerusalemme".
12 Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:	12 Allora la parola del Signore fu rivolta a Geremia in questi termini:
13 "Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Go and say to the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Will you not receive instruction and listen to my words? says the LORD.	13 "Così dice il Signore degli eserciti, Dio di Israele: Va' e di' agli uomini di Giuda e agli abitanti di Gerusalemme: Non volete forse accettare la lezione ascoltando le mie parole?, oracolo del Signore.
14 The command which Jonadab the son of Rechab gave to his sons, to drink no wine, has been kept; and they drink none to this day, for they have obeyed their father's command. I have spoken to you persistently, but you have not listened to me.	14 Sono state messe in pratica le parole di Ionadàb, figlio di Recàb, il quale aveva ordinato ai suoi figli di non bere vino -- e non lo bevono fino a questo giorno perché hanno ascoltato l'ordine del loro padre -- mentre io ho parlato a voi, premurosamente e insistentemente, e voi non avete ascoltato.
15 I have sent to you all my servants the prophets, sending them persistently, saying, 'Turn now every one of you from his evil way, and amend your doings, and do not go after other gods to serve them, and then you shall dwell in the land which I gave to you and your fathers.' But you did not incline your ear or listen to me.	15 Vi ho anche inviato tutti i miei servi, i profeti, premurosamente e insistentemente, dicendo: Si ritragga ciascuno dalla sua via malvagia e migliorate le vostre azioni e non andate dietro divinità straniere per servirle; allora potrete abitare nella terra che io ho dato a voi e ai vostri padri; ma non avete piegato le vostre orecchie e non mi avete ascoltato.
16 The sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have kept the command which their father gave them, but this people has not obeyed me.	16 Tuttavia i figli di Ionadàb, figlio di Recàb, hanno praticato l'ordine che il loro padre aveva loro imposto; questo popolo invece non mi ha ascoltato.
17 Therefore, thus says the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I am bringing on Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them; because I have spoken to them and they have not listened, I have called to them and they have not answered."	17 Perciò così dice il Signore, Dio degli eserciti, Dio d'Israele: Eccomi, sto per far piombare su Giuda e su tutti gli abitanti di Gerusalemme ogni sventura che ho pronunciato contro di loro, perché ho parlato loro, ma non hanno ascoltato; ho gridato a loro, ma non hanno risposto".
18 But to the house of the Rechabites Jeremiah said, "Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Because you have obeyed the command of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done all that he commanded you,	18 Alla casa dei Recabiti Geremia disse: "Così dice il Signore degli eserciti, Dio di Israele: Poiché avete ascoltato l'ordine di Ionadàb, vostro padre, ed avete custodito ogni suo precetto e l'avete praticato conformemente a quanto vi aveva ordinato,
19 therefore thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Jonadab the son of Rechab shall never lack a man to stand before me."	19 per questo così dice il Signore degli eserciti, Dio di Israele: Non mancherà mai a Ionadàb, figlio di Recàb, chi stia dinanzi a me tutti i giorni".
