Jeremiah 35

1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah:	1 Az ige, amely elhangzott Jeremiáshoz az Úrtól, Joakimnak, Jozija fiának, Júda királyának napjaiban:
2 "Go to the house of the Rechabites, and speak with them, and bring them to the house of the LORD, into one of the chambers; then offer them wine to drink."	2 »Menj el a rekabiták nemzetségéhez, beszélj velük, és vidd be őket az Úr házába, az egyik kamrába, majd itasd meg őket borral!«
3 So I took Ja-azaniah the son of Jeremiah, son of Habazziniah, and his brothers, and all his sons, and the whole house of the Rechabites.	3 Erre magam mellé vettem Jaazonját, Hábszánja fiának, Jeremiásnak a fiát, ennek testvéreit és minden fiát: a rekabiták egész nemzetségét;
4 I brought them to the house of the LORD into the chamber of the sons of Hanan the son of Igdaliah, the man of God, which was near the chamber of the princes, above the chamber of Ma-aseiah the son of Shallum, keeper of the threshold.	4 és bevittem őket az Úr házába, Hánán fiainak a kamrájába, aki Jigdaljának, az Isten emberének volt a fia. Ez a fejedelmek kamrája mellett volt, Maaszjának, Sellum fiának, a küszöb őrének kamrája fölött.
5 Then I set before the Rechabites pitchers full of wine, and cups; and I said to them, "Drink wine."	5 Akkor borral telt kelyheket és poharakat tettem a rekabiták nemzetségének fiai elé, és azt mondtam nekik: »Igyatok bort!«
6 But they answered, "We will drink no wine, for Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, commanded us, 'You shall not drink wine, neither you nor your sons for ever;	6 De ők így szóltak: »Nem iszunk bort, mert Jonadáb atyánk, Rekáb fia ezt parancsolta nekünk: ‘Ne igyatok bort soha, se ti, se fiaitok!
7 you shall not build a house; you shall not sow seed; you shall not plant or have a vineyard; but you shall live in tents all your days, that you may live many days in the land where you sojourn.'	7 Házat se építsetek, magot se vessetek, és szőlőt se ültessetek, hogy ne legyen nektek! Hanem sátrakban lakjatok egész életetekben, hogy sok ideig éljetek a föld színén, ahol jövevények vagytok!’
8 We have obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, in all that he commanded us, to drink no wine all our days, ourselves, our wives, our sons, or our daughters,	8 Hallgattunk Jonadáb atyánknak, Rekáb fiának szavára, mindarra, amit parancsolt nekünk, hogy ne igyunk bort egész életünkben, se mi, se feleségünk, se fiaink, se leányaink;
9 and not to build houses to dwell in. We have no vineyard or field or seed;	9 ne építsünk házakat, hogy azokban lakjunk, és ne legyen szőlőnk, se szántóföldünk, se vetésünk.
10 but we have lived in tents, and have obeyed and done all that Jonadab our father commanded us.	10 Ezért sátrakban laktunk; hallgattunk rá, és mindenben úgy cselekedtünk, ahogy Jonadáb atyánk parancsolta nekünk.
11 But when Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came up against the land, we said, 'Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans and the army of the Syrians.' So we are living in Jerusalem."	11 Amikor azonban Nebukadnezár, Babilon királya felvonult az ország ellen, azt mondtuk: Jöjjetek, menjünk el Jeruzsálembe a káldeaiak hadserege elől és az arámok hadserege elől! Így telepedtünk le Jeruzsálemben.«
12 Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:	12 Ekkor hangzott az Úr igéje Jeremiáshoz:
13 "Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Go and say to the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Will you not receive instruction and listen to my words? says the LORD.	13 »Így szól a Seregek Ura, Izrael Istene: Menj, és mondd Júda férfiainak és Jeruzsálem lakóinak: Hát nem fogadjátok meg az intelmet, hogy hallgassatok igéimre? – mondja az Úr. –
14 The command which Jonadab the son of Rechab gave to his sons, to drink no wine, has been kept; and they drink none to this day, for they have obeyed their father's command. I have spoken to you persistently, but you have not listened to me.	14 Jonadábnak, Rekáb fiának szavait betartották, aki azt parancsolta fiainak, hogy ne igyanak bort. Nem is ittak mind a mai napig, mert hallgattak atyjuk parancsára. De amikor én szóltam hozzátok, idejekorán szóltam, ti nem hallgattatok rám.
15 I have sent to you all my servants the prophets, sending them persistently, saying, 'Turn now every one of you from his evil way, and amend your doings, and do not go after other gods to serve them, and then you shall dwell in the land which I gave to you and your fathers.' But you did not incline your ear or listen to me.	15 Elküldtem hozzátok összes szolgámat, a prófétákat, idejekorán küldtem, e szavakkal: Térjetek hát meg, mindegyiktek a maga gonosz útjáról, jobbítsátok meg tetteiteket, és ne járjatok más istenek után, hogy azoknak szolgáljatok! Akkor lakhattok azon a földön, melyet nektek és atyáitoknak adtam. De nem hajtottátok ide fületeket, és nem hallgattatok rám.
16 The sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have kept the command which their father gave them, but this people has not obeyed me.	16 Bizony, Jonadábnak, Rekáb fiának fiai betartották atyjuk parancsát, amit parancsolt nekik, ez a nép azonban nem hallgatott rám.
17 Therefore, thus says the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I am bringing on Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them; because I have spoken to them and they have not listened, I have called to them and they have not answered."	17 Ezért így szól az Úr, a Seregek Istene, Izrael Istene: Íme, én elhozom Júdára és Jeruzsálem minden lakójára mindazt a bajt, amit kimondtam róluk; mert szóltam hozzájuk, de nem hallgatták meg, hívtam őket, de nem válaszoltak.«
18 But to the house of the Rechabites Jeremiah said, "Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Because you have obeyed the command of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done all that he commanded you,	18 A rekabiták nemzetségének pedig ezt mondta Jeremiás: »Így szól a Seregek Ura, Izrael Istene: Mivel hallgattatok Jonadáb atyátok parancsára, megtartottátok minden parancsát, és mindenben úgy cselekedtetek, ahogy parancsolta nektek,
19 therefore thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Jonadab the son of Rechab shall never lack a man to stand before me."	19 azért így szól a Seregek Ura, Izrael Istene: Nem lesz Jonadáb, Rekáb fia olyan férfi híján, aki színem előtt áll minden időben.«
