Jeremiah 35

1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah:	1 Das Wort, das vom Herrn an Jeremia erging in den Tagen Jojakims, des Sohnes Joschijas, des Königs von Juda:
2 "Go to the house of the Rechabites, and speak with them, and bring them to the house of the LORD, into one of the chambers; then offer them wine to drink."	2 Geh hin zur Gemeinschaft der Rechabiter, rede mit ihnen, führ sie zum Haus des Herrn in eine der Hallen und gib ihnen Wein zu trinken!
3 So I took Ja-azaniah the son of Jeremiah, son of Habazziniah, and his brothers, and all his sons, and the whole house of the Rechabites.	3 Da holte ich Jaasanja, den Sohn Jirmejas, des Sohnes Habazzinjas, samt seinen Brüdern und allen seinen Söhnen und der ganzen Gemeinschaft der Rechabiter.
4 I brought them to the house of the LORD into the chamber of the sons of Hanan the son of Igdaliah, the man of God, which was near the chamber of the princes, above the chamber of Ma-aseiah the son of Shallum, keeper of the threshold.	4 Ich führte sie zum Haus des Herrn in die Halle der Söhne Hanans, des Sohnes Jigdaljas, des Gottesmannes, die neben der Halle der Großen oberhalb der Halle des Schwellenwächters Maaseja, des Sohnes Schallums, gelegen ist.
5 Then I set before the Rechabites pitchers full of wine, and cups; and I said to them, "Drink wine."	5 Dann setzte ich den Leuten von der Gemeinschaft der Rechabiter gefüllte Weinkrüge und Becher vor und sagte zu ihnen: Trinkt Wein!
6 But they answered, "We will drink no wine, for Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, commanded us, 'You shall not drink wine, neither you nor your sons for ever;	6 Sie aber entgegneten: Wir trinken keinen Wein; denn unser Ahnherr Jonadab, der Sohn Rechabs, hat uns geboten: Ihr sollt niemals Wein trinken, weder ihr selbst noch eure Söhne.
7 you shall not build a house; you shall not sow seed; you shall not plant or have a vineyard; but you shall live in tents all your days, that you may live many days in the land where you sojourn.'	7 Auch sollt ihr kein Haus bauen, keine Saat bestellen, keinen Weinberg pflanzen oder besitzen. Vielmehr sollt ihr euer Leben lang in Zelten wohnen, damit ihr lange lebt in dem Land, in dem ihr euch als Fremde aufhaltet.
8 We have obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, in all that he commanded us, to drink no wine all our days, ourselves, our wives, our sons, or our daughters,	8 Wir gehorchten dem Auftrag unseres Ahnherrn Jonadab, des Sohnes Rechabs, in allem, was er uns gebot; wir tranken also zeitlebens keinen Wein, weder wir noch unsere Frauen, Söhne und Töchter.
9 and not to build houses to dwell in. We have no vineyard or field or seed;	9 Wir bauten uns keine Wohnhäuser, wir besaßen keinen Weinberg, keinen Acker und keine Saat.
10 but we have lived in tents, and have obeyed and done all that Jonadab our father commanded us.	10 Wir wohnten in Zelten und gehorsam handelten wir genau so, wie unser Ahnherr Jonadab es uns geboten hat.
11 But when Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came up against the land, we said, 'Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans and the army of the Syrians.' So we are living in Jerusalem."	11 Als jedoch Nebukadnezzar, der König von Babel, gegen das Land heranzog, da sagten wir: Kommt, wir wollen uns vor dem Heer der Chaldäer und dem Heer der Aramäer nach Jerusalem begeben. So ließen wir uns in Jerusalem nieder.
12 Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:	12 Nun erging das Wort des Herrn an Jeremia:
13 "Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Go and say to the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Will you not receive instruction and listen to my words? says the LORD.	13 So spricht der Herr der Heere, der Gott Israels: Geh hin und sag zu den Leuten von Juda und zu den Einwohnern Jerusalems: Wollt ihr euch nicht endlich belehren lassen und auf meine Worte hören? - Spruch des Herrn.
14 The command which Jonadab the son of Rechab gave to his sons, to drink no wine, has been kept; and they drink none to this day, for they have obeyed their father's command. I have spoken to you persistently, but you have not listened to me.	14 Das Gebot Jonadabs, des Sohnes Rechabs, der seinen Söhnen das Weintrinken verboten hat, wird treu erfüllt; sie trinken keinen Wein bis zum heutigen Tag, weil sie dem Befehl ihres Ahnherrn gehorchen. Ich aber habe immer wieder zu euch geredet, doch ihr habt mir nicht gehorcht.
15 I have sent to you all my servants the prophets, sending them persistently, saying, 'Turn now every one of you from his evil way, and amend your doings, and do not go after other gods to serve them, and then you shall dwell in the land which I gave to you and your fathers.' But you did not incline your ear or listen to me.	15 Und immer wieder sandte ich zu euch alle meine Knechte, die Propheten, mit der Mahnung: Kehrt doch alle um von eurem schlechten Weg! Bessert euer Tun und lauft nicht anderen Göttern nach, um ihnen zu dienen. Dann dürft ihr in dem Land bleiben, das ich euch und euren Vätern gegeben habe. Ihr aber habt euer Ohr nicht geneigt und nicht auf mich gehört.
16 The sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have kept the command which their father gave them, but this people has not obeyed me.	16 Ja, die Söhne Jonadabs, des Sohnes Rechabs, haben das Gebot, das ihnen ihr Ahnherr gegeben hat, erfüllt. Dieses Volk aber hat mir nicht gehorcht.
17 Therefore, thus says the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I am bringing on Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them; because I have spoken to them and they have not listened, I have called to them and they have not answered."	17 Darum - so spricht der Herr, der Gott der Heere, der Gott Israels: Seht, ich bringe über Juda und über alle Einwohner Jerusalems das ganze Unheil, das ich ihnen angedroht habe, weil sie nicht hörten, sooft ich zu ihnen redete, und keine Antwort gaben, sooft ich sie rief.
18 But to the house of the Rechabites Jeremiah said, "Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Because you have obeyed the command of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done all that he commanded you,	18 Zur Gemeinschaft der Rechabiter aber sagte Jeremia: So spricht der Herr der Heere, der Gott Israels: Weil ihr dem Gebot eures Ahnherrn Jonadab gehorcht, alle seine Gebote gehalten und nach allen seinen Anordnungen gehandelt habt,
19 therefore thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Jonadab the son of Rechab shall never lack a man to stand before me."	19 darum - so spricht der Herr der Heere, der Gott Israels: Niemals soll es Jonadab, dem Sohne Rechabs, an einem Nachkommen fehlen, der in meinem Dienst steht.
