Psalms 141

1 A Psalm of David. I call upon thee, O LORD; make haste to me! Give ear to my voice, when I call to thee!	1 Salmo. Di Davide.Signore, a te grido, accorri in mio aiuto;porgi l’orecchio alla mia voce quando t’invoco.
2 Let my prayer be counted as incense before thee, and the lifting up of my hands as an evening sacrifice!	2 La mia preghiera stia davanti a te come incenso,le mie mani alzate come sacrificio della sera.
3 Set a guard over my mouth, O LORD, keep watch over the door of my lips!	3 Poni, Signore, una guardia alla mia bocca,sorveglia la porta delle mie labbra.
4 Incline not my heart to any evil, to busy myself with wicked deeds in company with men who work iniquity; and let me not eat of their dainties!	4 Non piegare il mio cuore al male,a compiere azioni criminose con i malfattori:che io non gusti i loro cibi deliziosi.
5 Let a good man strike or rebuke me in kindness, but let the oil of the wicked never anoint my head; for my prayer is continually against their wicked deeds.	5 Mi percuota il giusto e il fedele mi corregga,l’olio del malvagio non profumi la mia testa,tra le loro malvagità continui la mia preghiera.
6 When they are given over to those who shall condemn them, then they shall learn that the word of the LORD is true.	6 Siano scaraventati sulle rocce i loro capie sentano quanto sono dolci le mie parole:
7 As a rock which one cleaves and shatters on the land, so shall their bones be strewn at the mouth of Sheol.	7 «Come si lavora e si dissoda la terra,le loro ossa siano disperse alla bocca degli inferi».
8 But my eyes are toward thee, O LORD God; in thee I seek refuge; leave me not defenseless!	8 A te, Signore Dio, sono rivolti i miei occhi;in te mi rifugio, non lasciarmi indifeso.
9 Keep me from the trap which they have laid for me, and from the snares of evildoers!	9 Proteggimi dal laccio che mi tendono,dalle trappole dei malfattori.
10 Let the wicked together fall into their own nets, while I escape.	10 I malvagi cadano insieme nelle loro reti,mentre io, incolume, passerò oltre.
