¹ And Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, also masons and carpenters to build a house for him.	¹ Hiram, rei de Tiro, enviou mensageiros a Davi, com madeira de cedro, pedreiros e carpinteiros para construir-lhe um palácio.*
² And David perceived that the LORD had established him king over Israel, and that his kingdom was highly exalted for the sake of his people Israel.	² E Davi reconheceu que o Senhor o confirmava rei de Israel, pois que seu reino era exaltado por causa de Israel, seu povo.
³ And David took more wives in Jerusalem, and David begot more sons and daughters.	³ Davi tomou ainda mulheres de Jerusalém e gerou filhos e filhas.
⁴ These are the names of the children whom he had in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon,	⁴ Eis os nomes dos filhos que teve em Jerusalém: Samua, Soba, Natã, Salomão,

⁸ When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up in search of David; and David heard of it and went out against them.	⁸ Quando os filisteus souberam que Davi tinha sido sagrado rei de todo o Israel, subiram todos para prendê-lo. Mas Davi foi informado e saiu-lhes ao encontro.
⁹ Now the Philistines had come and made a raid in the valley of Rephaim.	⁹ Contudo, os filisteus que vinham espalharam-se pelo vale de Refaim.
¹⁰ And David inquired of God, "Shall I go up against the Philistines? Wilt thou give them into my hand?" And the LORD said to him, "Go up, and I will give them into your hand."	¹⁰ Davi consultou a Deus: “Posso atacar os filisteus? E tu os entregarás em minhas mãos?”. E o Senhor disse-lhe: “Vai! Eu os entregarei em tuas mãos”.
¹¹ And he went up to Baal-perazim, and David defeated them there; and David said, "God has broken through my enemies by my hand, like a bursting flood." Therefore the name of that place is called Baal-perazim.	¹¹ Subiram, portanto, a Baal-Farasim e lá Davi os derrotou. Disse então ele: “Deus dispersou meus inimigos, por minha mão, como se dispersam as águas”. Por isso, esse lugar se denominou: Baal-Farasim.
¹² And they left their gods there, and David gave command, and they were burned.	¹² Ali abandonaram eles seus deuses. E Davi os mandou queimar.
¹³ And the Philistines yet again made a raid in the valley.	¹³ Os filisteus espalharam-se novamente pelo vale.
¹⁴ And when David again inquired of God, God said to him, "You shall not go up after them; go around and come upon them opposite the balsam trees.	¹⁴ Davi consultou de novo a Deus e este lhe respondeu: “Não te ponhas a persegui-los, mas desvia-te deles e os atacarás diante das amoreiras.
¹⁵ And when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, then go out to battle; for God has gone out before you to smite the army of the Philistines."	¹⁵ Quando ouvires um ruído de passos nas copas das amoreiras, então começarás o combate, porque Deus sairá diante de ti para derrotar o exército dos filisteus”.
¹⁶ And David did as God commanded him, and they smote the Philistine army from Gibeon to Gezer.	¹⁶ Fez Davi o que Deus lhe ordenava e derrotou o exército dos filisteus desde Gabaon até Gazer.
¹⁷ And the fame of David went out into all lands, and the LORD brought the fear of him upon all nations.	¹⁷ A fama de Davi espalhou-se por todos os países e o Senhor tornou-o temível para todas as nações.
