1 The Praise of David himself. I will extol you, O God, my king. And I will bless your name, in this time and forever and ever.	1 Psaume de David, contre Goliath. Béni soit le Seigneur mon Dieu, qui enseigne à mes mains le combat, * et à mes doigts la guerre.
2 Throughout every single day, I will bless you. And I will praise your name, in this time and forever and ever.	2 Il est ma miséricorde et mon refuge, * mon défenseur et mon libérateur. Il est mon protecteur, et c'est en Lui que j'espère; * c'est Lui qui assujettit mon peuple sous moi.
3 The Lord is great and exceedingly praiseworthy. And there is no end to his greatness.	3 Seigneur, qu'est-ce que l'homme, pour que Vous Vous soyez fait connaître à Lui? * ou le fils de l'homme, pour que Vous preniez garde à lui?
4 Generation after generation will praise your works, and they will declare your power.	4 L'homme est devenu semblable au néant; * ses jours passent comme l'ombre.
5 They will tell of the magnificent glory of your sanctity. And they will discourse of your wonders.	5 Seigneur, abaissez Vos cieux et descendez; * touchez les montagnes, et elles seront fumantes.
6 And they will talk about the virtue of your terrible acts. And they will describe your greatness.	6 Faites briller Vos éclairs, et Vous les disperserez; * lancez Vos flèches, et Vous les mettrez en déroute.
7 They will shout about the memory of your abundant sweetness. And they will exult in your justice.	7 Etendez Votre main d'en haut, délivrez-moi, et sauvez-moi des grandes eaux, * de la main des fils des étrangers,
8 The Lord is compassionate and merciful, patient and full of mercy.	8 dont la bouche a proféré la vanité, * et dont la droite est une droite d'iniquité.
9 The Lord is sweet to all things, and his compassion is upon all his works.	9 O Dieu, je Vous chanterai un cantique nouveau; * je Vous célébrerai sur la lyre à dix cordes.
10 O Lord, may all your works confess to you, and let your holy ones bless you.	10 O Vous qui procurez le salut aux rois, * qui avez sauvé David, Votre serviteur, du glaive meurtrier.
11 They will speak of the glory of your kingdom, and they will declare your power,	11 Délivrez-moi et retirez-moi d'entre les mains des fils des étrangers, dont la bouche a proféré la vanité, * et dont la droite est une droite d'iniquité.
12 so as to make known to the sons of men your power and the glory of your magnificent kingdom.	12 Leurs fils sont comme de nouvelles plantes * dans leur jeunesse. Leurs filles sont parées * et ornées à la manière d'un temple.
13 Your kingdom is a kingdom for all ages, and your dominion is with all, from generation to generation. The Lord is faithful in all his words and holy in all his works.	13 Leurs greniers sont remplis, * et débordent de l'un dans l'autre. Leurs brebis sont fécondes * et innombrables quand elles vont aux pâturages.
14 The Lord lifts up all who have fallen down, and he sets upright all who have been thrown down.	14 Leurs génisses sont grasses. Il n'y a pas de brèche ni d'ouverture dans leurs murailles, * et jamais un cri sur leurs places publiques.
15 O Lord, all eyes hope in you, and you provide their food in due time.	15 Ils ont proclamé heureux le peuple qui jouit de ces biens; * heureux le peuple qui a le Seigneur pour son Dieu.
16 You open your hand, and you fill every kind of animal with a blessing.
17 The Lord is just in all his ways and holy in all his works.
18 The Lord is near to all who call upon him, to all who call upon him in truth.
19 He will do the will of those who fear him, and he will heed their supplication and accomplish their salvation.
20 The Lord watches over all who love him. And he will destroy all sinners.
21 My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord, and may all flesh bless his holy name, in this time and forever and ever.
