1 A Canticle in steps. I have lifted up my eyes to you, who dwells in the heavens.	1 Canción de las subidas. De David. |¡Qué alegría cuando me dijeron: | «Vamos a la casa del Señor»!
2 Behold, as the eyes of the servants are on the hands of their masters, as the eyes of the handmaid are on the hands of her mistress, so our eyes are upon the Lord our God, until he may be merciful to us.	2 Ya están pisando nuestros pies | tus umbrales, Jerusalén.
3 Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us. For we have been filled with utter disdain.	3 Jerusalén está fundada | como ciudad bien compacta.
4 For our soul has been greatly filled. We are the disgrace of those who have abundance and the disdain of the arrogant.	4 Allá suben las tribus, | las tribus del Señor, | según la costumbre de Israel, | a celebrar el nombre del Señor;
	5 en ella están los tribunales de justicia, | en el palacio de David.
	6 Desead la paz a Jerusalén: | «Vivan seguros los que te aman,
	7 haya paz dentro de tus muros, | seguridad en tus palacios».
	8 Por mis hermanos y compañeros, | voy a decir: «La paz contigo».
	9 Por la casa del Señor, nuestro Dios, | te deseo todo bien.
