1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	1 Jahvè parlò a Mosè:
2 “In the first month, on the first day of the month, you shall raise the tabernacle of the testimony,	2 «Nel primo giorno del primo mese innalzerai la Dimora, la Tenda del convegno,
3 and you shall place the ark in it, and you shall release the veil before it.	3 dove metterai l’arca della Testimonianza e sospenderai il velo davanti all'arca.
4 And having brought in the table, you shall place the things which were solemnly commanded upon it. The lampstand shall stand with its lamps,	4 Introdurrai la tavola e vi disporrai il suo apparato; introdurrai il candelabro e vi innalzerai le sue lampade.
5 and the altar of gold, in which the incense is burned, shall stand before the ark of the testimony. You shall place the tent at the entrance of the tabernacle,	5 Porrai l’altare d’oro per il profumo di erbe aromatiche davanti all’arca della Testimonianza e metterai il tendone dell’ingresso alla Dimora.
6 and before it, the altar of holocaust.	6 Disporrai l’altare dell’olocausto davanti all’ingresso della Dimora, della Tenda: del convegno;
7 The washtub shall stand between the altar and the tabernacle, and you shall fill it with water.	7 tra la Tenda del convegno e l’altare porrai la conca dove metterai l’acqua.
8 And you shall encompass the atrium and its entrance with hangings.	8 Tutto intorno sistemerai il recinto e metterai il tendone della porta del recinto.
9 And, having taken up the oil of unction, you shall anoint the tabernacle along with its articles, so that they may be sanctified.	9 Prenderai l’olio dell’unzione e ungerai la Dimora e tutto ciò che si trova in essa: la consacrerai con tutte le sue suppellettili e sarà sacra.
10 The altar of holocaust and all its vessels,	10 Ungerai l’altare dell’olocausto con tutte le suppellettili, consacrerai l’altare: e allora sarà santissimo.
11 the washtub with its base, and all things, you shall consecrate with the oil of unction, so that they may be the Holy of holies.	11 Ungerai la conca e la sua base: le consacrerai.
12 And you shall bring forward Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the tabernacle of the testimony, and, having washed them with water,	12 Farai avvicinare Aronne e i suoi figli all’ingresso della Tenda del convegno e li laverai con acqua.
13 you shall clothe them in the holy vestments, so that they may minister to me, and so that their unction may accomplish an everlasting priesthood.”	13 Vestirai Aronne delle vesti sacre, lo ungerai, lo consacrerai; egli eserciterà l’ufficio sacerdotale in mio onore.
14 And Moses did all that the Lord had instructed.	14 Farai avvicinare i suoi figli, li vestirai di tuniche
15 Therefore, in the first month of the second year, on the first day of the month, the tabernacle was put in place.	15 e li ungerai come hai unto il loro padre; essi eserciteranno l’ufficio sacerdotale in mio onore. Ciò si deve fare affinché la loro unzione conferisca loro un sacerdozio perpetuo, per tutte le loro generazioni».
16 And Moses raised it up, and he positioned the panels as well as the bases and the bars, and he set up the columns,	16 Mosè eseguì e fece come gli aveva ordinato Jahvè.
17 and he stretched out the roof over the tabernacle, imposing a cover above it, just as the Lord had decreed.	17 Nel primo mese del secondo anno, al primo del mese, fu innalzata la Dimora.
18 And he placed the testimony in the ark, applying the bars beneath, and the oracle above.	18 Mosè innalzò la Dimora: mise le basi, dispose le assi, sistemò le traverse ed eresse i pali,
19 And when he had brought the ark into the tabernacle, he drew the veil before it, in order to fulfill the commandment of the Lord.	19 stese la Tenda sopra la Dimora e vi mise sopra il tendone della Tenda, come Jahvè aveva ordinato a Mosè.
20 And he placed the table in the tabernacle of the testimony, at the north side, beyond the veil,	20 Prese la Testimonianza, la dispose nell’arca, mise le stanghe all’arca, sistemò l’Espiatorio sull'arca;
21 arranging before it the bread of the presence, just as the Lord had instructed Moses.	21 introdusse l’arca nella Dimora, sistemò il velo di copertura innalzandolo per nascondere l’arca della Testimonianza, come Jahvè aveva ordinato.
22 And he placed the lampstand in the tabernacle of the testimony, away from the table, on the south side,	22 Pose la tavola nella Tenda del convegno sul lato nord della Dimora, all’esterno del velo,
23 setting the lamps in order, according to the precept of the Lord.	23 sopra dispose un ordine di pani davanti i Jahvè, come Jahvè aveva ordinato a Mosè,
24 He also positioned the altar of gold under the roof of the testimony, opposite the veil,	24 Mise il candelabro nella Tenda del convegno, di fronte alla tavola, sul lato sud della Dimora,
25 and he heaped upon it the incense of aromatics, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.	25 e vi innalzò le lampade, al cospetto di Jahvè, come Jahvè aveva ordinato a Mosè.
26 And he positioned the tent at the entrance of the tabernacle of the testimony,	26 Mise l’altare d’oro nella Tenda del convegno, davanti al velo,
27 and the altar of holocaust in the vestibule of the testimony, offering the holocaust and the sacrifices upon it, just as the Lord had decreed.	27 e vi bruciò profumo di aromi, come Jahvè aveva ordinato a Mosè.
28 Likewise, he stationed the washtub between the tabernacle of the testimony and the altar, filling it with water.	28 Mise il tendone dell’ingresso alla Dimora
29 And Moses and Aaron, along with his sons, washed their hands and feet,	29 e sistemò l’altare dell’olocausto all’ingresso della Dimora, della Tenda del convegno e offrì su di esso l’olocausto e l’oblazione, come Jahvè aveva ordinato a Mosè.
30 whenever they would enter the covering of the covenant, and when they approached to the altar, just as the Lord had instructed Moses.	30 Mise la conca tra la Tenda del convegno e l'altare e vi pose acqua per l’abluzione:
31 And he raised up the atrium around the tabernacle and the altar, drawing the hanging at its entrance. After all these things were perfected,	31 con essa Mosè, Aronne e i suoi figli si lavavano mani e piedi.
32 the cloud covered the tabernacle of the testimony, and the glory of the Lord filled it.	32 Quando entravano nella Tenda del convegno o si avvicinavano all’altare, si lavavano, come Jahvè aveva ordinato a Mosè.
33 Neither could Moses enter the covering of the covenant: the cloud was covering all things, and the majesty of the Lord was flashing. For the cloud had covered everything.	33 Eresse il recinto tutto intorno alla Dimora e all’altare e mise il tendone alla porta del recinto. Così Mosè terminò il lavoro.
34 Whenever the cloud departed from the tabernacle, the sons of Israel set out by their companies.	34 Una nube coprì allora la Tenda del convegno e la gloria di Jahvè riempì la Dimora.
35 But if it remained hanging over it, they remained in the same place.	35 Mosè non poté entrare nella Tenda del convegno poiché su di essa dimorava la nube e la gloria di Jahvè riempiva la Dimora.
36 Certainly, the cloud of the Lord lay over the tabernacle by day, and the fire by night, being seen by all the people of Israel throughout all their resting places.	36 In tutto il periodo dei loro viaggi, quando la nube si alzava sopra la Dimora, i figli di Israele levavano l’accampamento.
	37 Se la nube non si alzava, essi non levavano l’accampamento fin quando non si alzava.
	38 Durante il giorno, infatti, la nube di Jahvè stava sulla Dimora e durante la notte c’era un fuoco, visibile a tutta la casa di Israele in tutti i loro spostamenti.
