Psalmi 28

NOVA VULGATA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 David. Ad te, Domine, clamabo; Deus meus, ne sileas a me. Ne quando taceas a me, et assimilabor descendentibus in lacum.	1 [Of David] To you, Yahweh, I cry, my rock, do not be deaf to me! If you stay silent I shall be like thosewho sink into oblivion.
2 Exaudi vocem deprecationis meae, dum clamo ad te, dum extollo manus meas ad templum sanctum tuum.	2 Hear the sound of my prayer when I cal upon you, when I raise my hands, Yahweh, towards your Holyof Holies.
3 Ne simul trahas me cum peccatoribus et cum operantibus iniquitatem. Qui loquuntur pacem cum proximo suo, mala autem in cordibus eorum.	3 Do not drag me away with the wicked, with evil-doers, who talk to their partners of peace withtreachery in their hearts.
4 Da illis secundum opera eorum et secundum nequitiam adinventionum ipsorum. Secundum opus manuum eorum tribue illis, redde retributionem eorum ipsis.	4 Repay them as their deeds deserve, as befits their treacherous actions; as befits their handiworkrepay them, let their deserts fall back on themselves.
5 Quoniam non intellexerunt opera Domini et opus manuum eius, destruet illos et non aedificabit eos.	5 They do not comprehend the deeds of Yahweh, the work of his hands. May he pul them down and notrebuild them!
6 Benedictus Dominus, quoniam exaudivit vocem deprecationis meae;	6 Blessed be Yahweh for he hears the sound of my prayer.
7 Dominus adiutor meus et protector meus, in ipso speravit cor meum, et adiutus sum, et exsultavit cor meum, et in cantico meo confitebor ei.	7 Yahweh is my strength and my shield, in him my heart trusts. I have been helped; my body hasrecovered its vigour, with all my heart I thank him.
8 Dominus fortitudo plebi suae, et refugium salvationum christi sui est.	8 Yahweh is the strength of his people, a safe refuge for his anointed.
9 Salvum fac populum tuum et benedic hereditati tuae et pasce eos et extolle illos usque in aeternum.	9 Save your people, bless your heritage, shepherd them and carry them for ever!
