Revelation 6

1 Then, in my vision, I saw the Lamb break one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four livingcreatures shout in a voice like thunder, 'Come!'	1 - E vidi che l'agnello aprì uno de' sette sigilli, e udii uno de' quattro animali che diceva con voce di tuono: «Vieni e vedi!».
2 Immediately I saw a white horse appear, and its rider was holding a bow; he was given a victor's crownand he went away, to go from victory to victory.	2 E vidi, ed ecco un cavallo bianco, e quegli che ci stava sopra aveva un arco: e gli fu data una corona, e uscì da vincitore [e] per vincere.
3 When he broke the second seal, I heard the second living creature shout, 'Come!'	3 E quando ebbe aperto il secondo sigillo, udii il secondo animale che diceva: «Vieni e vedi!».
4 And out came another horse, bright red, and its rider was given this duty: to take away peace from theearth and set people kil ing each other. He was given a huge sword.	4 E uscì fuori un altro cavallo rosso, e a colui che ci stava sopra fu dato di toglier via la pace dalla terra, sicchè [gli uomini] si sgozzassero gli uni e gli altri, e gli fu data una grande spada.
5 When he broke the third seal, I heard the third living creature shout, 'Come!' Immediately I saw a blackhorse appear, and its rider was holding a pair of scales;	5 E quando ebbe aperto il terzo sigillo, udii il terzo animale che diceva: «Vieni e vedi!». Ed ecco un cavallo nero, e quegli che ci stava sopra aveva una bilancia nella sua mano.
6 and I seemed to hear a voice shout from among the four living creatures and say, 'A day's wages for aquart of corn, and a day's wages for three quarts of barley, but do not tamper with the oil or the wine.'	6 E udii come una voce in mezzo ai quattro animali che diceva: «Una chenice di frumento a un denaro, e tre chenici d'orzo a un denaro!», e: «Non recar danno all'olio e al vino».
7 When he broke the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature shout, 'Come!'	7 E quando ebbe aperto il quarto sigillo, udii la voce del quarto animale che diceva: «Vieni e vedi!».
8 Immediately I saw another horse appear, deathly pale, and its rider was called Death, and Hadesfol owed at its heels. They were given authority over a quarter of the earth, to kil by the sword, by famine, byplague and through wild beasts.	8 Ed ecco un cavallo pallido, e colui che ci stava sopra, il suo nome è Morte, e l'Orco l'accompagnava. E fu dato loro potere sulla quarta parte della terra, per uccider con spada e con fame e con mortalità e per mezzo delle fiere della terra.
9 When he broke the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of all the people who had been kil edon account of the Word of God, for witnessing to it.	9 E quand'ebbe aperto il quinto sigillo sotto l'altare delle anime di coloro ch'erano stati sgozzati a motivo della parola di Dio e della testimonianza che avevan [reso].
10 They shouted in a loud voice, 'Holy, true Master, how much longer wil you wait before you passsentence and take vengeance for our death on the inhabitants of the earth?'	10 E gridarono a gran voce dicendo: «Sino a quando, o Signore, o santo e verace, non giudichi tu e vendichi il sangue nostro su quei che abitano la terra?».
11 Each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to be patient a little longer, until the roll wascompleted of their fel ow-servants and brothers who were stil to be killed as they had been.	11 E fu data loro a ciascuno una veste bianca, e fu detto loro che stessero quieti ancor per breve tempo, fino a che fosse completo il numero de' loro conservi e de' loro fratelli che dovevano essere uccisi come loro.
12 In my vision, when he broke the sixth seal, there was a violent earthquake and the sun went as blackas coarse sackcloth; the moon turned red as blood al over,	12 E vidi, quand'ebbe aperto il sesto sigillo, ed ecco seguì un gran terremoto, e il sole diventò nero come un tonacone di crino, e tutta la luna diventò come sangue,
13 and the stars of the sky fell onto the earth like figs dropping from a fig tree when a high wind shakes it;	13 e le stelle del cielo caddero sulla terra, come il fico butta i suoi fichi verdi quand'è scosso da gran vento,
14 the sky disappeared like a scroll rol ing up and al the mountains and islands were shaken from theirplaces.	14 e il cielo si ritirò come un volume ch'è arrotolato, e ogni montagna e isola furon smosse dai loro posti.
15 Then al the kings of the earth, the governors and the commanders, the rich people and the men ofinfluence, the whole population, slaves and citizens, hid in caverns and among the rocks of the mountains.	15 E i re della terra e i magnati e i capitani e i ricchi e i potenti e ogni [uomo] schiavo o libero si nascosero nelle spelonche e nelle rocce de' monti.
16 They said to the mountains and the rocks, 'Fal on us and hide us away from the One who sits on thethrone and from the retribution of the Lamb.	16 E dicono ai monti e alle rocce: «Cadete su noi e nascondeteci dalla faccia di colui che siede sul trono e dall'ira dell'agnello;
17 For the Great Day of his retribution has come, and who can face it?'	17 perchè è venuto il gran giorno dell'ira loro, e chi mai può reggersi ritto?».
