Revelation 6

NEW JERUSALEM	NOVA VULGATA
1 Then, in my vision, I saw the Lamb break one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four livingcreatures shout in a voice like thunder, 'Come!'	1 Et vidi, cum aperuisset Agnus unum de septem sigillis, et audi vi unum dequattuor animalibus dicens tamquam voce tonitrui: “ Veni ”.
2 Immediately I saw a white horse appear, and its rider was holding a bow; he was given a victor's crownand he went away, to go from victory to victory.	2 Et vidi: etecce equus albus; et, qui sedebat super illum, habebat arcum, et data est eicorona, et exivit vincens et ut vinceret.
3 When he broke the second seal, I heard the second living creature shout, 'Come!'	3 Et cum aperuisset sigillum secundum, audivi secundum animal dicens: “ Veni”.
4 And out came another horse, bright red, and its rider was given this duty: to take away peace from theearth and set people kil ing each other. He was given a huge sword.	4 Et exivit alius equus rufus; et, qui sedebat super illum, datum est ei,ut sumeret pacem de terra, et ut invicem se interficiant; et datus est illigladius magnus.
5 When he broke the third seal, I heard the third living creature shout, 'Come!' Immediately I saw a blackhorse appear, and its rider was holding a pair of scales;	5 Et cum aperuisset sigillum tertium, audivi tertium animal dicens: “ Veni ”.Et vidi: et ecce equus niger; et, qui sedebat super eum, habebat stateram inmanu sua.
6 and I seemed to hear a voice shout from among the four living creatures and say, 'A day's wages for aquart of corn, and a day's wages for three quarts of barley, but do not tamper with the oil or the wine.'	6 Et audivi tamquam vocem in medio quattuor animalium dicentem: “Bilibris tritici denario, et tres bilibres hordei denario; et oleum et vinum nelaeseris ”.
7 When he broke the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature shout, 'Come!'	7 Et cum aperuisset sigillum quartum, audivi vocem quarti animalis dicentis: “Veni ”.
8 Immediately I saw another horse appear, deathly pale, and its rider was called Death, and Hadesfol owed at its heels. They were given authority over a quarter of the earth, to kil by the sword, by famine, byplague and through wild beasts.	8 Et vidi: et ecce equus pallidus; et, qui sedebat desuper, nomen illiMors, et Infernus sequebatur eum; et data est illis potestas super quartampartem terrae interficere gladio et fame et morte et a bestiis terrae.
9 When he broke the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of all the people who had been kil edon account of the Word of God, for witnessing to it.	9 Et cum aperuisset quintum sigillum, vidi subtus altare animas interfectorumpropter verbum Dei et propter testimonium, quod habebant.
10 They shouted in a loud voice, 'Holy, true Master, how much longer wil you wait before you passsentence and take vengeance for our death on the inhabitants of the earth?'	10 Et clamaverunt vocemagna dicentes: “ Usquequo, Domine, sanctus et verus, non iudicas et vindicassanguinem nostrum de his, qui habitant in terra? ”.
11 Each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to be patient a little longer, until the roll wascompleted of their fel ow-servants and brothers who were stil to be killed as they had been.	11 Et datae sunt illis singulae stolae albae; et dictum est illis, utrequiescant tempus adhuc modicum, donec impleantur et conservi eorum et fratreseorum, qui interficiendi sunt sicut et illi.
12 In my vision, when he broke the sixth seal, there was a violent earthquake and the sun went as blackas coarse sackcloth; the moon turned red as blood al over,	12 Et vidi, cum aperuisset sigillum sextum, et terraemotus factus est magnus, etsol factus est niger tamquam saccus cilicinus, et luna tota facta est sicutsanguis,
13 and the stars of the sky fell onto the earth like figs dropping from a fig tree when a high wind shakes it;	13 et stellae caeli ceciderunt in terram, sicut ficus mittit grossossuos, cum vento magno movetur,
14 the sky disappeared like a scroll rol ing up and al the mountains and islands were shaken from theirplaces.	14 et caelum recessit sicut liber involutus, etomnis mons et insula de locis suis motae sunt.
15 Then al the kings of the earth, the governors and the commanders, the rich people and the men ofinfluence, the whole population, slaves and citizens, hid in caverns and among the rocks of the mountains.	15 Et reges terrae et magnates ettribuni et divites et fortes et omnis servus et liber absconderunt se inspeluncis et in petris montium;
16 They said to the mountains and the rocks, 'Fal on us and hide us away from the One who sits on thethrone and from the retribution of the Lamb.	16 et dicunt montibus et petris: “ Caditesuper nos et abscondite nos a facie sedentis super thronum et ab ira Agni,
17 For the Great Day of his retribution has come, and who can face it?'	17 quoniam venit dies magnus irae ipsorum, et quis poterit stare? ”.
