Hebrews 1

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 At many moments in the past and by many means, God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets;but	1 Dopo aver molte volte e in molte guise, anticamente, parlato ai padri per i profeti,
2 in our time, the final days, he has spoken to us in the person of his Son, whom he appointed heir of althings and through whom he made the ages.	2 in questi ultimi tempi Dio ci ha parlato per il Figliolo, che Egli ha costituito erede di tutte quante le cose, per mezzo del quale fece anche i secoli.
3 He is the reflection of God's glory and bears the impress of God's own being, sustaining all things byhis powerful command; and now that he has purged sins away, he has taken his seat at the right hand of thedivine Majesty on high.	3 Il Figlio, essendo lo splendore della gloria, l'imagine della sostanza di Dio e tutto sostenendo colla parola sua potente, dopo averci purificati dai peccati, siede alla destra della Maestà divina nel più alto dei cieli,
4 So he is now as far above the angels as the title which he has inherited is higher than their own name.	4 tanto più sublime degli Angeli, quanto è più eccellente del loro il nome che egli ebbe in retaggio.
5 To which of the angels, then, has God ever said: You are my Son, today I have fathered you, or: I shalbe a father to him and he a son to me?	5 Infatti a quale degli Angeli disse mai Dio: Tu sei il mio Figliolo: oggi io ti ho generato? E di nuovo: Io gli sarò Padre, ed egli mi sarà Figliolo?
6 Again, when he brings the First-born into the world, he says: Let all the angels of God pay him homage.	6 E ancora, quando introduce il Primogenito nel mondo, dice: E lo adorino tutti gli Angeli di Dio.
7 To the angels, he says: appointing the winds his messengers and flames of fire his servants,	7 Mentre invece, parlando degli Angeli, dice: Egli fa suoi Angeli gli spiriti e suoi ministri i fuochi fiammanti.
8 but to the Son he says: Your throne, God, is for ever and ever; and: the sceptre of his kingdom is asceptre of justice;	8 Ma al Figliolo dice: Il tuo trono o Dio, è nei secoli dei secoli; scettro d'equità è lo scettro del tuo regno;
9 you love uprightness and detest evil. This is why God, your God, has anointed you with the oil ofgladness, as none of your rivals.	9 tu hai amato la giustizia ed hai odiato l'iniquità: per questo, o Dio, il tuo Dio ti ha unto con olio di esultazione al di sopra dei tuoi consorti.
10 And again: Long ago, Lord, you laid earth's foundations, the heavens are the work of your hands.	10 E « tu in principio, o Signore, fondasti la terra, e opera delle tue mani sono i cieli.
11 They pass away but you remain, they al wear out like a garment.	11 Essi periranno, ma tu durerai e tutti invecchieranno come un vestito;
12 Like a cloak you wil rol them up, like a garment, and they wil be changed. But you never alter andyour years are unending.	12 li cambierai come un mantello e saranno mutati; ma tu rimani sempre lo stesso e gli anni tuoi non verranno meno ».
13 To which of the angels has God ever said: Take your seat at my right hand til I have made yourenemies your footstool?	13 A qual degli Angeli ha egli detto mai: Siedi alla mia destra, finch'io non faccia dei tuoi nemici lo sgabello dei tuoi piedi?
14 Are they not al ministering spirits, sent to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?	14 Non son essi tutti spiriti ministri, mandati ad esercitare il loro ministero in grazia di coloro che devono acquistare l'eredità della salute?
