NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 At many moments in the past and by many means, God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets;but	1 Muchas veces y de muchos modos habló Dios en el pasado a nuestros Padres por medio de los Profetas;
2 in our time, the final days, he has spoken to us in the person of his Son, whom he appointed heir of althings and through whom he made the ages.	2 en estos últimos tiempos nos ha hablado por medio del Hijo a quien instituyó heredero de todo, por quien también hizo los mundos;
3 He is the reflection of God's glory and bears the impress of God's own being, sustaining all things byhis powerful command; and now that he has purged sins away, he has taken his seat at the right hand of thedivine Majesty on high.	3 el cual, siendo resplandor de su gloria e impronta de su sustancia, y el que sostiene todo con su palabra poderosa, después de llevar a cabo la purificación de los pecados, se sentó a la diestra de la Majestad en las alturas,
4 So he is now as far above the angels as the title which he has inherited is higher than their own name.	4 con una superioridad sobre los ángeles tanto mayor cuanto más les supera en el nombre que ha heredado.
5 To which of the angels, then, has God ever said: You are my Son, today I have fathered you, or: I shalbe a father to him and he a son to me?	5 En efecto, ¿a qué ángel dijo alguna vez: Hijo mío eres tú; yo te he engendrado hoy; y también: Yo seré para él Padre, y él será para mi Hijo?
6 Again, when he brings the First-born into the world, he says: Let all the angels of God pay him homage.	6 Y nuevamente al introducir a su Primogénito en el mundo dice: Y adórenle todos los ángeles de Dios.
7 To the angels, he says: appointing the winds his messengers and flames of fire his servants,	7 Y de los ángeles dice: El que hace a sus ángeles vientos, y a sus servidores llamas de fuego.
8 but to the Son he says: Your throne, God, is for ever and ever; and: the sceptre of his kingdom is asceptre of justice;	8 Pero del Hijo: Tu trono, ¡oh Dios!, por los siglos de los siglos; y: El cetro de tu realeza, cetro de equidad.
9 you love uprightness and detest evil. This is why God, your God, has anointed you with the oil ofgladness, as none of your rivals.	9 Amaste la justicia y aborreciste la iniquidad; por eso te ungió, ¡oh Dios!, tu Dios con óleo de alegría con preferencia a tus compañeros.
10 And again: Long ago, Lord, you laid earth's foundations, the heavens are the work of your hands.	10 Y también: Tú al comienzo, ¡oh Señor!, pusiste los cimientos de la tierra, y obras de tu mano son los cielos.
11 They pass away but you remain, they al wear out like a garment.	11 Ellos perecerán, mas tú permaneces; todos como un vestido envejecerán;
12 Like a cloak you wil rol them up, like a garment, and they wil be changed. But you never alter andyour years are unending.	12 como un manto los enrollarás, como un vestido, y serán cambiados. Pero tú eres el mismo y tus años no tendrán fin.
13 To which of the angels has God ever said: Take your seat at my right hand til I have made yourenemies your footstool?	13 Y ¿a qué ángel dijo alguna vez: Siéntate a mi diestra, hasta que ponga a tus enemigos por escabel de tus pies?
14 Are they not al ministering spirits, sent to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?	14 ¿Es que no son todos ellos espíritus servidores con la misión de asistir a los que han de heredar la salvación?
