Micah 3

NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 Then I said, 'Kindly listen, you leaders of the House of Jacob, you princes of the House of Israel. Surelyyou are the ones who ought to know what is right,	1 Eu disse: Ouvi, chefes de Jacó, e vós, príncipes de Israel; não devíeis vós saber o que é justo?
2 and yet you hate what is good and love what is evil, skinning people alive, pul ing the flesh off theirbones,	2 E, entretanto, odiais o bem e amais o mal, arrancais a pele {da carne} e a carne dos ossos.
3 eating my people's flesh, stripping off their skin, breaking up their bones, chopping them up smal likeflesh for the pot, like meat in the stew-pan?'	3 Devoram a carne do meu povo, arrancam-lhe a pele, quebram-lhe os ossos; partem-no como {os pedaços} postos na panela, como a carne para a caçarola.
4 Then they wil cal to Yahweh, but he wil not answer them. When the time comes he will hide his facefrom them because of the crimes they have committed.	4 Um dia clamarão ao Senhor, mas ele não lhes responderá; ocultar-lhes-á a sua face naquele dia por causa da malícia de seus atos.
5 Yahweh says this against the prophets who lead my people astray: So long as they have something toeat they cry 'Peace'. But on anyone who puts nothing into their mouths they declare war.	5 Oráculo do Senhor contra os profetas que desencaminham o meu povo, que anunciam a paz quando têm algo para mastigar e declaram guerra a quem não lhes põe nada na boca.
6 And so, for you, night wil be without vision and for you the darkness without divination. The sun wil setfor the prophets, the daylight will go black above them.	6 Por isso, em lugar de visões, tereis a noite, e trevas em lugar de revelações. Pôr-se-á o sol para esses profetas, o dia vai tornar-se obscuro;
7 Then the seers wil be covered with shame, the diviners with confusion; they wil al put their hands overtheir mouths because there is no answer from God.	7 serão confundidos os videntes, envergonhados os adivinhos. Todos esconderão a barba, porque Deus cessará de lhes falar.
8 Not so with me, I am ful of strength (ful of Yahweh's spirit), of the sense of right, of energy to accuseJacob of his crime and Israel of his sin.	8 Eu, porém, estou cheio de força {do espírito do Senhor}, de justiça e de coragem, para denunciar a Jacó sua maldade, e a Israel seu pecado.
9 Kindly listen to this, you leaders of the House of Jacob, you princes of the House of Israel, who detestjustice, wresting it from its honest course,	9 Ouvi isto, chefes da casa de Jacó, príncipes da casa de Israel, que tendes horror à justiça, e torceis tudo o que é reto,
10 who build Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity!	10 que edificais Sião com sangue e Jerusalém com o preço da iniqüidade.
11 Her leaders give verdicts for presents, her priests take a fee for their rulings, her prophets divine formoney and yet they rely on Yahweh! 'Isn't Yahweh among us?' they say, 'No disaster is going to overtake us.'	11 Seus chefes exercem o juízo por gratificação, seus sacerdotes só ensinam mediante salário, seus profetas vaticinam a preço de dinheiro. E ainda ousam apoiar-se no Senhor, dizendo: Não é verdade que o Senhor está no meio de nós? A desgraça não nos atingirá!
12 That is why, thanks to you, Zion will become ploughland, Jerusalem a heap of rubble and the TempleMount a wooded height.	12 Pois bem! Por vossa causa Sião será como um campo lavrado, e Jerusalém será um montão de escombros, e a colina do templo, um morro cheio de mato.
