Micah 3

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Then I said, 'Kindly listen, you leaders of the House of Jacob, you princes of the House of Israel. Surelyyou are the ones who ought to know what is right,	1 Poi io dissi: "Ascoltate, capi di Giacobbe, magistrati della casa d'Israele! Non spetta forse a voi il diritto?
2 and yet you hate what is good and love what is evil, skinning people alive, pul ing the flesh off theirbones,	2 Nemici del bene e amici del male, voi strappate loro la pelle di dosso, la carne dalle loro ossa".
3 eating my people's flesh, stripping off their skin, breaking up their bones, chopping them up smal likeflesh for the pot, like meat in the stew-pan?'	3 Essi divorano la carne del mio popolo, e spezzano loro le ossa; li squartano come carne nella marmitta, come carne nella pentola.
4 Then they wil cal to Yahweh, but he wil not answer them. When the time comes he will hide his facefrom them because of the crimes they have committed.	4 Allora grideranno al Signore, ma non risponderà loro; egli volgerà altrove la faccia, a causa dei delitti che han commesso!
5 Yahweh says this against the prophets who lead my people astray: So long as they have something toeat they cry 'Peace'. But on anyone who puts nothing into their mouths they declare war.	5 Così parla il Signore contro i profeti che fanno deviare il suo popolo: Se han qualcosa da mettere tra i loro denti essi proclamano la pace. Ma a chi non mette loro niente in bocca essi dichiarano la guerra!
6 And so, for you, night wil be without vision and for you the darkness without divination. The sun wil setfor the prophets, the daylight will go black above them.	6 Perciò c'è notte per voi: niente visione; per voi le tenebre: niente divinazione; il sole tramonta per i profeti e il giorno si oscura su di loro.
7 Then the seers wil be covered with shame, the diviners with confusion; they wil al put their hands overtheir mouths because there is no answer from God.	7 I veggenti saranno ricoperti di vergogna, e chi spiega gli oracoli di confusione; si copriranno la barba tutti quanti, perché non c'è risposta del Signore!
8 Not so with me, I am ful of strength (ful of Yahweh's spirit), of the sense of right, of energy to accuseJacob of his crime and Israel of his sin.	8 Io invece sono ripieno di forza, dello spirito del Signore, di giustizia e coraggio per annunziare a Giacobbe il suo delitto, a Israele il suo peccato!
9 Kindly listen to this, you leaders of the House of Jacob, you princes of the House of Israel, who detestjustice, wresting it from its honest course,	9 Ascoltate dunque questo, capi della casa di Giacobbe, funzionari della casa d'Israele, voi che avete in abominio il diritto e pervertite quello che è retto;
10 who build Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity!	10 che costruite Sion col sangue e Gerusalemme col delitto!
11 Her leaders give verdicts for presents, her priests take a fee for their rulings, her prophets divine formoney and yet they rely on Yahweh! 'Isn't Yahweh among us?' they say, 'No disaster is going to overtake us.'	11 I suoi capi fanno giustizia per regali e i suoi sacerdoti decidono dietro compenso; i suoi profeti vaticinano per denaro; si appoggiano sul Signore dicendo: Il Signore non è forse in mezzo a noi? La sventura non verrà su di noi!
12 That is why, thanks to you, Zion will become ploughland, Jerusalem a heap of rubble and the TempleMount a wooded height.	12 Perciò, per colpa vostra, Sion sarà un campo da arare, Gerusalemme sarà un mucchio di rovine e la montagna del tempio un'altura selvaggia!
