NEW JERUSALEM	DIODATI
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 POI il Signore parlò a Mosè, dicendo:
2 'Order the Israelites to expel from the camp al those suffering from a contagious skin-disease or froma discharge, or who have become unclean by touching a corpse.	2 Comanda a’ figliuoli d’Israele che mandino fuor del campo ogni lebbroso, e ogni uomo che ha la colagione, e ogni uomo immondo per un morto.
3 Whether man or woman, you will expel them; you wil expel them from the camp, so that they do notpollute their encampments, in the heart of which I dwel .'	3 Mandateli fuori, così maschi, come femmine; mandateli fuor del campo; acciocchè non contaminino il campo loro, nel mezzo del quale io abito.
4 The Israelites did so: they expel ed them from the camp. The Israelites did as Yahweh had told Moses.	4 E i figliuoli d’Israele fecero così, e mandarono coloro fuor del campo. Come il Signore avea detto a Mosè, così fecero i figliuoli d’Israele.
5 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,	5 IL Signore parlò ancora a Mosè, dicendo:
6 'Speak to the Israelites: "If a man or woman commits any of the sins by which people break faith withYahweh, that person incurs guilt.	6 Parla a’ figliuoli d’Israele, e di’ loro: Quando un uomo o una donna avrà fatto alcuno de’ peccati degli uomini, commettendo misfatto contro al Signore; quella cotal persona è colpevole.
7 "The person must confess the sin committed and restore in ful the amount owed, with one-fifth added.Payment is to be made to the person wronged.	7 Se confessa il suo peccato che avrà commesso, restituisca il capitale di ciò intorno a che avrà misfatto; e vi sopraggiunga il quinto, e dialo a colui contro a cui avrà misfatto.
8 "If, however, the latter has no relation to whom restitution can be made, the restitution due to Yahwehreverts to the priest, apart from the ram of expiation with which the priest makes expiation for the guilty party.	8 E se colui non ha alcun prossimo parente, che abbia ragione di ricoverar ciò che fu suo, per restituirgli ciò in che il misfatto sarà stato commesso; venendosi ciò a restituire, appartenga al Signore, cioè al sacerdote, oltre al montone de’ purgamenti, col quale il sacerdote farà purgamento per lui.
9 For of everything the Israelites consecrate and bring to the priest he has a right to the portion setaside.	9 Parimente sia del sacerdote ogni offerta elevata di tutte le cose consacrate da’ figliuoli d’Israele, le quali essi gli presenteranno.
10 Whatever anyone consecrates is his own; whatever is given to the priest belongs to the priest." '	10 E le cose consacrate da chi che sia sieno del sacerdote; sia suo ciò che qualunque persona gli avrà dato
11 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,	11 OLTRE a ciò, il Signore parlò a Mosè, dicendo:
12 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "If anyone has a wife who goes astray and is unfaithful to him,	12 Parla a’ figliuoli d’Israele, e di’ loro: Quando la moglie di alcun si sarà sviata, e avrà commesso misfatto contro a lui;
13 if some other man sleeps with the woman without the husband's knowledge, and she secretly makesherself unclean, without any witness against her, and without anyone catching her in the act;	13 e alcuno sarà giaciuto carnalmente con lei, di nascosto dal marito; ed ella si sarà celatamente contaminata, senza che vi sia alcun testimonio contro a lei nè che sia stata colta in sul fatto;
14 if, then, a spirit of suspicion comes over the husband and makes him suspicious of the wife who hasdisgraced herself, or again if this spirit of suspicion comes over him and makes him suspicious of his wife evenwhen she is innocent,	14 se lo spirito della gelosia entra nel marito, sì ch’egli sia geloso della sua moglie, essendosi ella contaminata; ovvero anche, se lo spirito della gelosia entra in lui, sì che sia geloso della sua moglie, non essendosi ella contaminata;
15 the man wil bring his wife before the priest, and on her behalf make an offering of one-tenth of anephah of barley meal. He will not pour oil over it or put incense on it, because this is a cereal offering for a caseof suspicion, a memorial offering to recal guilt to mind.	15 meni quell’uomo la sua moglie al sacerdote, e presenti per lei l’offerta di essa, che sarà la decima parte di un efa di farina d’orzo; non ispandavi sopra olio, e non mettavi sopra incenso; perciocchè è offerta di gelosie, oblazione di rammemorazione, che riduce a memoria iniquità.
16 "The priest will then bring the woman forward and place her before Yahweh.	16 E faccia il sacerdote appressar quella donna, e facciala stare in piè nel cospetto del Signore.
17 The priest wil then take fresh water in an earthen jar, and on the water throw dust that he has takenfrom the floor of the Dwel ing.	17 Poi prenda il sacerdote dell’acqua santa in un vasello di terra; prenda eziandio della polvere che sarà sopra il suolo del Tabernacolo, e mettala in quell’acqua.
18 After he has placed the woman before Yahweh, he will unbind her hair and put the commemorativecereal offering (that is, the cereal offering for a case of suspicion) into her hands. In his own hands the priest wilhold the water of bitterness and cursing.	18 E facendo star quella donna in piè davanti al Signore, scoprale il sacerdote la testa, e mettale in su le palme delle mani l’offerta della rammemorazione, che è l’offerta delle gelosie; e abbia il Sacerdote in mano quell’acqua amara che reca maledizione.
19 "The priest will then put the woman on oath. He will say to her: If it is not true that a man has sleptwith you, that you have gone astray and made yourself unclean while under your husband's authority, may thiswater of bitterness and cursing do you no harm.	19 E faccia il sacerdote giurar quella donna, e dicale: Se niun uomo è giaciuto teco, e se tu non ti sei sviata per contaminazione, ricevendo un altro in luogo del tuo marito; quest’acqua amara, che reca maledizione, non facciati alcun danno.
20 But if it is true that you have gone astray while under your husband's authority, that you have madeyourself unclean and that a man other than your husband has slept with you . . .	20 Ma se tu ti sei sviata, ricevendo un altro in luogo del tuo marito, e ti sei contaminata, e altri che il tuo marito è giaciuto teco carnalmente;
21 Here the priest wil impose an imprecatory oath on the woman. He wil say to her: . . . May Yahwehmake you the object of your people's execration and curses, by making your sexual organs shrivel and your bel yswel !	21 allora faccia il sacerdote giurar la donna, con giuramento di esecrazione, e dicale: Il Signore ti metta in maledizione ed esecrazione, nel mezzo del tuo popolo, facendoti cader la coscia, e gonfiare il ventre.
22 May this water of cursing entering your bowels, make your belly swell and your sexual organs shrivel!To which the woman will reply: Amen! Amen!	22 Ed entriti nell’interiora quest’acqua che reca maledizione, per farti gonfiare il ventre, e cader la coscia. E la donna dica: Amen, Amen.
23 "Having written these curses on a scrol and washed them off in the water of bitterness,	23 Poi scriva il sacerdote queste maledizioni in un cartello, e le cancelli con quell’acqua amara.
24 the priest wil make the woman drink the water of bitterness and cursing; when the water of cursingenters into her, it wil become bitter.	24 E dia a bere alla donna quell’acqua amara, che reca maledizione, sì che quell’acqua che reca maledizione entri in lei, per acqua amara.
25 "The priest will then take the cereal offering for a case of suspicion from the woman's hands, and holdit up before Yahweh with a gesture of offering, and so carry it up to the altar.	25 Or prenda il sacerdote di man di quella donna l’offerta delle gelosie; e dimenila davanti al Signore; e poi offeriscala sopra l’Altare.
26 He will take a handful of it as a memorial and burn it on the altar. "After this, he wil make the woman drink the water.	26 Prenda eziandio una menata di quell’offerta, per la sua ricordanza, e brucila sopra l’Altare; e poi dia a bere quell’acqua alla donna.
27 After he has made her drink it, if it is true that she has made herself unclean and been unfaithful toher husband, the water of cursing then entering into her wil indeed be bitter: her bel y wil swel and her sexualorgans shrivel, and she wil be an object of execration to her people.	27 E quando egli gliela avrà data a bere, avverrà che, se ella si è contaminata, e ha commesso misfatto contro al suo marito, quando l’acqua che reca maledizione sarà entrata in lei, per acqua amara, il ventre le gonfierà, e la coscia le caderà; e quella donna sarà in esecrazione in mezzo del suo popolo.
28 But if she has not made herself unclean, but is clean, then she will go unscathed and wil bearchildren.	28 Ma, se quella donna non si è contaminata, anzi è pura, ella non avrà male alcuno, e potrà portar figliuoli.
29 "Such is the ritual in cases of suspicion, when a woman has gone astray and made herself uncleanwhile under her husband's authority,	29 Questa è la legge delle gelosie, quando la moglie di alcuno si sarà sviata, ricevendo un altro in luogo del suo marito, e si sarà contaminata.
30 or when a spirit of suspicion has come over a man and made him suspicious of his wife. When ahusband brings such a woman before Yahweh, the priest will apply this ritual to her in full.	30 Ovvero, quando lo spirito della gelosia sarà entrato nel marito, ed egli sarà geloso della sua moglie; facciala comparire davanti al Signore, e facciale il Sacerdote tutto quello ch’è ordinato per questa legge.
31 The husband wil be guiltless, but the woman wil bear the consequences of her guilt." '	31 E sia il marito esente di colpa, ma porti la donna la sua iniquità
