NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and Aaron and said:	1 Habló Yahveh a Moisés y a Aarón y les dijo:
2 'This is a decree of the Law which Yahweh has prescribed. Tel the Israelites, they are to bring you ared heifer without fault or blemish that has never borne the yoke.	2 «Este es uno de los preceptos legales, prescrito por Yahveh con estas palabras: Diles a los israelitas que te traigan una vaca roja, sin defecto, que no tenga manchas, y que no haya llevado yugo.
3 You will give it to the priest Eleazar. It wil then be taken outside the camp and slaughtered in hispresence.	3 Dádsela al sacerdote Eleazar. Que la saquen fuera del campamento y sea inmolada en su presencia.
4 The priest Eleazar wil then take some of the victim's blood on his finger, and sprinkle this bloodseven times towards the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.	4 Entonces el sacerdote Eleazar untará su dedo en la sangre de la vaca y hará con la sangre siete aspersiones hacia la entrada de la Tienda del Encuentro.
5 The heifer wil then be burnt while he looks on; its hide, flesh, blood and offal wil be burnt.	5 Será quemada la vaca en su presencia, con su piel, su carne, su sangre e incluso sus excrementos.
6 The priest wil then take some cedar wood, hyssop and scarlet material and throw them on the firewhere the heifer is burning.	6 Tomará el sacerdote leña de cedro, hisopo y grana, y la echará en medio de la hoguera de la vaca.
7 He will then wash his clothes and bathe himself; after which he wil go back to the camp, though hewil remain unclean until evening.	7 El sacerdote purificará sus vestidos y se lavará el cuerpo con agua; luego podrá ya entrar en el campamento; pero será impuro el sacerdote hasta la tarde.
8 The man who has burnt the heifer wil wash his clothes and bathe himself and will remain uncleanuntil evening.	8 El que haya quemado la vaca purificará sus vestidos con agua y lavará su cuerpo con agua; pero será impuro hasta la tarde.
9 The man who gathers up the ashes of the heifer must be ritually clean; he will deposit them outsidethe camp, in a clean place. They wil be kept for the ritual use of the Israelite community for making water forpurification; it is a sacrifice for sin.	9 Un hombre puro recogerá las cenizas de la vaca y las depositará fuera del campamento, en lugar puro. Servirán a la comunidad de los israelitas para el rito de hacer el agua lustral: es un sacrificio por el pecado.
10 The man who has gathered up the ashes of the heifer wil wash his clothes and remain unclean untilevening. For the Israelites as for the resident alien, this wil be a perpetual decree.	10 El que haya recogido las cenizas de la vaca lavará sus vestidos y será impuro hasta la tarde. Este será decreto perpetuo tanto para los israelitas como para el forastero residente entre ellos.
11 'Anyone who touches the corpse of anyone whatever wil be unclean for seven days.	11 El que toque a un muerto, cualquier cadáver humano, será impuro siete días.
12 Such a person must be purified with these waters on the third and seventh day and will then beclean; otherwise he wil not be clean.	12 Se purificará con aquellas aguas los días tercero y séptimo, y quedará puro. Pero si no se ha purificado los días tercero y séptimo, no quedará puro.
13 Anyone who touches the corpse of anyone who has died and is not purified, defiles Yahweh'sDwelling; such a person wil be outlawed from Israel, since the water for purification has not been sprinkled overhim; he is unclean, and his uncleanness remains in him.	13 Todo el que toca un muerto, un cadáver humano, y no se purifica, mancha la Morada de Yahveh; ese individuo será extirpado de Israel, porque las aguas lustrales no han corrido sobre él: es impuro; su impureza sigue sobre él.
14 'This is the law when someone dies in a tent. Anyone who goes into the tent, or anyone who isalready in it, wil be unclean for seven days,	14 Esta es la ley para cuando uno muere en la tienda. Todo el que entre en la tienda, y todo el que esté en la tienda, será impuro siete días.
15 and every open vessel with no cover tied over it wil also be unclean.	15 Y todo recipiente descubierto, que no esté cerrado con tapa o cuerda, será impuro.
16 'Anyone in the open country who touches a murder victim, a corpse, human bones or a grave wil beunclean for seven days.	16 Todo el que toque, en pleno campo, a un muerto a espada, o a un muerto, o huesos de hombre, o una sepultura, será impuro siete días.
17 'For someone thus unclean, some of the ashes of the victim burnt as a sacrifice for sin wil be takenand spring water must be poured over them, in a vessel.	17 Se tomará para el impuro ceniza de la víctima inmolada en sacrificio por el pecado, y se verterá encima agua viva de una vasija.
18 Someone who is ritual y clean wil then take some hyssop and dip it in the water. This person wilthen sprinkle the tent, all the vessels and people who were there, and similarly anyone who has touched humanbones, a murder victim, a corpse or a grave.	18 Un hombre puro tomará el hisopo, lo mojará en agua y rociará la tienda y todos los objetos y personas que había en ella, e igualmente al que tocó los huesos o al asesinado, o al muerto, o la sepultura.
19 On the third and the seventh day the clean one wil sprinkle the unclean, who on the seventh day wilbe clean. The latter wil then wash his clothes and bathe in water, and in the evening he wil be clean.	19 El hombre puro rociará al impuro los días tercero y séptimo: el séptimo día le habrá limpiado de su pecado. Lavará el impuro sus vestidos, se lavará con agua, y será puro por la tarde.
20 Anyone who fails to be purified in this way wil be outlawed from the community, and would defileYahweh's sanctuary. Such a person is unclean, not having been sprinkled with the water for purification.	20 Pero el hombre que quedó impuro y no se purificó, ése será extirpado de la asamblea, pues ha manchado el santuario de Yahveh. Las aguas lustrales no han corrido sobre él: es un impuro.
21 'This wil be a perpetual decree for them. The person who sprinkles the water for purification wilwash his clothes, and anyone who touches the water for purification wil be unclean until evening.	21 Este será para vosotros decreto perpetuo. El que haga la aspersión con las aguas lustrales lavará sus vestidos, y el que haya tocado las aguas lustrales será impuro hasta la tarde.
22 Anything that an unclean person touches wil be unclean, and anyone who touches it wil be uncleanuntil evening.'	22 Y todo lo que haya sido tocado por el impuro, será impuro; y la persona que le toque a él, será impura hasta la tarde.
