Joel 4

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 'For in those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,	1 «Porque he aquí que en aquellos días, en el tiempo aquel, cuando yo cambie la suerte de Judá y Jerusalén,
2 I shall gather all the nations together and take them down to the Val ey of Jehoshaphat; there I shal putthem on trial because of Israel, my people and my heritage, for having scattered them among the nations andhaving divided my land among themselves.	2 congregaré a todas las naciones y las haré bajar al Valle de Josafat: allí entraré en juicio con ellas, acerca de mi pueblo y mi heredad, Israel. Porque lo dispersaron entre las naciones, y mi tierra se repartieron.
3 They drew lots for my people, bartering a boy for a whore and sel ing a girl for wine to drink.	3 Y echaron suertes sobre mi pueblo, cambiaron el niño por la prostituta, y a la niña la vendieron por vino para beber».
4 'And what are you to me, Tyre and Sidon and al you regions of Philistia? Can you take revenge on me?If you take revenge on me, I shal quickly, instantly, make your revenge recoil on your own heads	4 «Y vosotros también, ¿qué sois para mí, Tiro y Sidón, y distritos todos de Filistea? ¿Queréis exigir paga de mí? Mas, si queréis cobrar de mí, ¡bien pronto he de volver sobre vuestra cabeza vuestra paga!
5 for having taken my silver and gold away and carried off my valuable treasures to your temples,	5 Vosotros que arrebatasteis mi plata y mi oro, que llevasteis a vuestros templos mis mejores alhajas,
6 and for having sold the children of Judah and Jerusalem to the Ionians, to be taken far away from theirown frontiers.	6 y a los hijos de Judá y Jerusalén los vendisteis a los hijos de Yaván, para alejarlos de su término.
7 Look, I shal rouse them from the places to which you have sold them; I shall make your actions recoilon your own heads	7 He aquí que yo los voy a reclamar del lugar donde los vendisteis, y volveré sobre vuestra cabeza vuestra paga:
8 by sel ing your sons and daughters to the sons of Judah, who in turn wil sel them to the Sabaeans, to anation far away- Yahweh has spoken!'	8 venderé vuestros hijos y vuestras hijas en manos de los hijos de Judá, y ellos los venderán a los sabeos, a una nación lejana, ¡porque ha hablado Yahveh!»
9 Proclaim this among the nations. Prepare for war! Rouse the champions! Al you troops, advance,march!	9 Publicad esto entre las naciones: ¡Proclamad la guerra, incitad a los bravos! ¡Que avancen y suban todos los hombres de guerra!
10 Hammer your ploughshares into swords, your bil -hooks into spears; let the weakling say, 'I am tough!'	10 Forjad espadas de vuestros azadones y lanzad de vuestras podaderas; y diga el débil: «¡Soy un bravo!»
11 Hurry and come, al the nations around, and assemble there! (Yahweh, send down your champions!)	11 ¡Daos prisa, venid, naciones todas circundantes, y congregaos allá! (¡Haz bajar, Yahveh, a tus bravos!)
12 'Let the nations rouse themselves and march to the Val ey of Jehoshaphat, for there I shal sit injudgement on all the nations around.	12 «¡Despiértense y suban las naciones al Valle de Josafat! Que allí me sentaré yo para juzgar a todas las naciones circundantes.
13 Ply the sickle, for the harvest is ripe; come and tread, for the winepress is full; the vats are overflowing,so great is their wickedness!'	13 Meted la hoz, porque la mies está madura; venid, pisad, que el lagar está lleno, y las cavas rebosan, tan grande es su maldad».
14 Multitude on multitude in the Valley of Decision! For the Day of Yahweh is near in the Val ey of theVerdict!	14 ¡Multitudes y multitudes en el Valle de la Decisión! Porque está cerca el Día de Yahveh, en el Valle de la Decisión.
15 Sun and moon grow dark, the stars lose their brilliance.	15 El sol y la luna se oscurecen, las estrellas retraen su fulgor.
16 Yahweh roars from Zion, he thunders from Jerusalem; heaven and earth tremble. But Yahweh wil be ashelter for his people, a stronghold for the Israelites.	16 Ruge Yahveh desde Sión, desde Jerusalén da su voz: ¡el cielo y la tierra se estremecen! Mas Yahveh será un refugio para su pueblo, una fortaleza para los hijos de Israel.
17 'Then you will know that I am Yahweh your God residing on Zion, my holy mountain. Jerusalem wilthen be a sanctuary, no foreigners will overrun it ever again.'	17 «Sabréis entonces que yo soy Yahveh vuestro Dios, que habito en Sión, mi monte santo. Santa será Jerusalén, y los extranjeros no pasarán más por ella».
18 When that Day comes, the mountains will run with new wine and the hil s wil flow with milk, and al thestream-beds of Judah will run with water. A fountain wil spring from Yahweh's Temple and water the Gorge ofthe Acacias.	18 Sucederá aquel día que los montes destilarán vino y las colinas fluirán leche; por todas las torrenteras de Judá fluirán las aguas; y una fuente manará de la Casa de Yahveh que regará el valle de las Acacias.
19 Egypt wil become a desolation, and Edom a desert waste on account of the violence done to thechildren of Judah whose innocent blood they shed in their country.	19 Egipto quedará hecho una desolación, Edom un desierto desolado, por su violencia contra los hijos de Judá, por haber derramado sangre inocente en su tierra.
20 But Judah wil be inhabited for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation!	20 Pero Judá será habitada para siempre, y Jerusalén de edad en edad.
21 'I shal avenge their blood and let none go unpunished,' and Yahweh wil dwell in Zion.	21 «Yo vengaré su sangre, no la dejaré impune», y Yahveh morará en Sión.
