Hosea 2

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA RICCIOTTI
1 But the Israelites wil become as numerous as the sands of the sea, which cannot be measured orcounted. In the very place where they were told, 'You are not my people,' they wil be told they are 'Children ofthe living God'.	1 - Dite ai vostri fratelli: - Popolo mio! - e alla vostra sorella: - Misericordia! -
2 The Judaeans and Israelites will be reunited and wil choose themselves a single head, and will spreadfar beyond their country, for great will be the Day of Jezreel!	2 Date querela a vostra madre, datele querela, perchè essa non è più la mia moglie, e io non sono più il suo marito; tolga via le sue fornicazioni dalla sua faccia e i suoi adulteri d'in mezzo alle sue mammelle;
3 Then call your brothers, 'My people', and your sisters, 'You have been pitied'.	3 se non vuole ch'io la spogli nuda e la rimetta come era il giorno della sua nascita e la riduca quale un deserto e la renda come una terra disabitata e la faccia morire di sete.
4 To court, take your mother to court! For she is no longer my wife nor am I her husband. She must eitherremove her whoring ways from her face and her adulteries from between her breasts,	4 E dei suoi figli non avrò pietà, perchè sono figli di prostituzione.
5 or I shal strip her and expose her naked as the day she was born; I shall make her as bare as thedesert, I shall make her as dry as arid country, and let her die of thirst.	5 Perchè la loro madre s'è prostituita, la loro genitrice s'è disonorata; infatti ha detto: - Andrò dietro ai miei amanti, quelli che mi dànno il mio pane, la mia acqua, la mia lana, il mio lino, il mio olio e le mie bevande! -
6 And I shal feel no pity for her children since they are the children of her whorings.	6 Per questo, eccomi qua io ad assieparti la via di spine. Sì, le chiuderò i passi con una barriera e non troverà più i suoi sentieri.
7 Yes, their mother has played the whore, she who conceived them has disgraced herself by saying, 'Ishall chase after my lovers; they will assure me my keep, my wool, my flax, my oil and my drinks.'	7 E correrà dietro ai suoi amanti, ma non li raggiungerà; cercherà di loro, ma non li ritroverà, e allora dirà: - Me ne vado, tornerò al mio primo marito, perchè allora stavo meglio di adesso! -
8 This is why I shal block her way with thorns, and wal her in to stop her in her tracks;	8 Ed essa non aveva riconosciuto che ero stato io a darle il frumento e il vino e l'olio; avevo io accumulato quell'argento e quell'oro che fu da essi adoperato per Baal.
9 then if she chases her lovers she wil not catch them, if she looks for them she wil not find them, andthen she wil say, 'I shal go back to my first husband, I was better off then than I am now;'	9 Perciò ritornerò a ripigliarmi il mio frumento alla sua stagione, il mio vino al suo tempo, e libererò la mia lana e il mio lino dal servizio di coprire le sue vergogne.
10 she had never realised before that I was the one who was giving her the grain, new wine and oil,giving her more and more silver and gold which they have spent on Baal!	10 E sarà il momento che scoprirò la sua stoltezza agli occhi dei suoi amanti e nessun uomo me la toglierà più dalle mani.
11 This is why I shal take back my grain when it is due and my new wine, when the season for it comes. Ishall withdraw my wool and my flax which were to cover her naked body,	11 E farò cessare tutta la sua allegria, e le sue solennità, le sue neomenie e i suoi sabbati e ogni sua festiva ricorrenza.
12 and then display her infamy before her lovers' eyes- no one will take her from me then!	12 E guasterò le sue vigne, le sue piantagioni di fico, cose di cui aveva detto: -Donativi questi che sono miei, che mi hanno donato i miei amanti-; ma io li ridurrò in una selva e se li divoreranno le bestie selvatiche.
13 I shal put an end to al her merrymaking, her festivals, her New Moons and her Sabbaths and al hersolemn feasts.	13 E le farò scontare i giorni dei Baalim, quando ardeva loro l'incenso, si adornava dei suoi pendenti e dei suoi monili e andava dietro ai suoi amanti e di me si era dimenticata, dice il Signore.
14 I shal make her vines and fig trees derelict of which she used to say, 'These are the pay my loversgave me.' I shal turn them into a jungle: wild animals wil feed on them.	14 Ciò non pertanto, ecco ch'io l'allatterò e la condurrò in luogo solitario e le parlerò al cuore.
15 I mean to make her pay for the feast-days on which she burnt incense to the Baals, when she trickedherself out in her earrings and necklaces to chase after her lovers, and forget me! -declares Yahweh.	15 E le darò i suoi vignaiuoli di là, e la Vallata di Acor, per riaprirle la via alla speranza, e quivi canterà come ai giorni di sua giovinezza e come ai dì della sua salita dalla terra d'Egitto.
16 But look, I am going to seduce her and lead her into the desert and speak to her heart.	16 E avverrà in quel giorno, dice il Signore, che mi chiamerà: "Marito mio" e non mi chiamerà più: "Baal mio!".
17 There I shall give her back her vineyards, and make the Vale of Achor a gateway of hope. There shewil respond as when she was young, as on the day when she came up from Egypt.	17 E toglierò via dalla sua bocca i nomi dei Baalim e non menzionerà più il loro nome.
18 When that day comes- declares Yahweh- you wil cal me, 'My husband', no more wil you cal me, 'MyBaal'.	18 E in quel giorno stringerò alleanza con loro, coll'animale della campagna, col volatile del cielo, col rettile del suolo, e l'arco e la spada e le belliche armi manderò infrante lungi dalla terra, e li farò riposare al sicuro.
19 I shal banish the names of the Baals from her lips and their name wil be mentioned no more.	19 E ti farò mia sposa per sempre; e ti farò mia sposa in un connubio di giustizia, di giudizio, di pietà e di misericordia.
20 When that day comes I shal make a treaty for them with the wild animals, with the birds of heavenand the creeping things of the earth; I shal break the bow and the sword and warfare, and banish them from thecountry, and I wil let them sleep secure.	20 E ti farò mia sposa fedele, e riconoscerai che sono io il Signore.
21 I shal betroth you to myself for ever, I shall betroth you in uprightness and justice, and faithful loveand tenderness.	21 E avverrà in quel giorno ch'io risponderò, dice il Signore, io risponderò al cielo e questo risponderà alla terra;
22 Yes, I shall betroth you to myself in loyalty and in the knowledge of Yahweh.	22 e la terra risponderà al frumento, al vino, all'olio; e queste cose risponderanno a Jezrael.
23 When that day comes, I shal respond -declares Yahweh- I shal respond to the heavens and they willrespond to the earth	23 Sarà un semenzaio per me sulla terra, e avrò misericordia di "Senza-misericordia",
24 and the earth wil respond to the grain, the new wine and oil, and they wil respond to Jezreel.	24 e dirò a "Non-popolo-mio": - Tu sei il popolo mio! - Ed egli dirà: - Tu sei il Dio mio! -».
25 I shal sow her in the country to be mine, I shall take pity on Lo-Ruhamah, I shal tell Lo-Ammi, 'Youare my people,' and he will say, 'You are my God.'
