Hosea 14

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 Samaria will pay the penalty for having rebel ed against her God. They wil fall by the sword, their littlechildren wil be dashed to pieces and their pregnant women disembowelled.	1 Perisca Samaria, perchè ha esacerbato il suo Dio. Periscano sotto la spada, i loro bambini siano sfracellati, le loro donne gravide sventrate.
2 Israel, come back to Yahweh your God your guilt was the cause of your downfal .	2 Ritorna, o Israele, al Signore Dio tuo, perchè sei andato in rovina per le tue iniquità.
3 Provide yourself with words and come back to Yahweh. Say to him, 'Take all guilt away and give uswhat is good, instead of bulls we wil dedicate to you our lips.	3 Prendete con voi le parole, e volgetevi al Signore, e ditegli: « Togli ogni iniquità, accetta questo bene, e noi ti offriremo (invece dei vitelli) (gli omaggi) delle nostre labbra.
4 Assyria cannot save us, we will not ride horses any more, or say, "Our God!" to our own handiwork, foryou are the one in whom orphans find compassion.'	4 Assur non ci potrà salvare: noi non monteremo più sui cavalli, e non diremo più: « Voi siete nostri dèi, opera delle nostre mani », perchè tu avrai compassione dell'orfano che a te s'abbandona.
5 I shal cure them of their disloyalty, I shal love them with all my heart, for my anger has turned awayfrom them.	5 Io sanerò le loro piaghe, io li amerò con tutto il cuore, perchè s'è allontanato da loro il mio sdegno,
6 I shal fal like dew on Israel, he wil bloom like the lily and thrust out roots like the cedar of Lebanon;	6 io sarò come rugiada per Israele, egli germoglierà come giglio e getterà le sue radici come (una pianta) del Libano.
7 he will put out new shoots, he will have the beauty of the olive tree and the fragrance of Lebanon.	7 Si spanderanno i suoi rami, la sua bellezza sarà come quella dell'olivo, e il suo profumo come quello del Libano.
8 They will come back to live in my shade; they will grow wheat again, they wil make the vine flourish, their wine will be as famous as Lebanon's.	8 Ritorneranno a sedere sotto la sua ombra, vivranno di frumento, germoglieranno come vigna, il loro nome sarà come il vino del Libano.
9 What has Ephraim to do with idols any more when I hear him and watch over him? I am like anevergreen cypress, you owe your fruitfulness to me.	9 Efraim (dirà): « Che ho ormai da fare cogli idoli? » Io l'esaudirò, io lo farò andare in alto come verdeggiante abete, da me verranno i tuoi frutti.
10 Let the wise understand these words, let the intel igent grasp their meaning, for Yahweh's ways arestraight and the upright wil walk in them, but sinners wil stumble.	10 Chi è sapiente da comprendere queste cose? Chi è intelligente da saperle? Ecco: le vie del Signore son diritte, i giusti vi cammineranno, ma i prevaricatori vi cadranno.
