Hosea 14

NEW JERUSALEM	DIODATI
1 Samaria will pay the penalty for having rebel ed against her God. They wil fall by the sword, their littlechildren wil be dashed to pieces and their pregnant women disembowelled.	1 ISRAELE, convertiti al Signore Iddio tuo; conciossiachè tu sii caduto per la tua iniquità.
2 Israel, come back to Yahweh your God your guilt was the cause of your downfal .	2 Prendete con voi delle parole, e convertitevi al Signore; ditegli: Togli tutta l’iniquità, e ricevi il bene; e noi ti renderemo de’ giovenchi, con le nostre labbra.
3 Provide yourself with words and come back to Yahweh. Say to him, 'Take all guilt away and give uswhat is good, instead of bulls we wil dedicate to you our lips.	3 Assur non ci salverà, noi non cavalcheremo più sopra cavalli; e non diremo più all’opera delle nostre mani: Dio nostro; conciossiachè l’orfano ottenga misericordia appo te
4 Assyria cannot save us, we will not ride horses any more, or say, "Our God!" to our own handiwork, foryou are the one in whom orphans find compassion.'	4 Io guarirò la lor ribellione, io li amerò di buona volontà; perciocchè la mia ira si sarà rivolta da loro.
5 I shal cure them of their disloyalty, I shal love them with all my heart, for my anger has turned awayfrom them.	5 Io sarò come la rugiada ad Israele; egli fiorirà come il giglio, e getterà le sue radici come gli alberi del Libano.
6 I shal fal like dew on Israel, he wil bloom like the lily and thrust out roots like the cedar of Lebanon;	6 I suoi rampolli si spanderanno, e la sua bellezza sarà come quella dell’ulivo, e renderà odore come il Libano.
7 he will put out new shoots, he will have the beauty of the olive tree and the fragrance of Lebanon.	7 Ritorneranno, e sederanno all’ombra di esso; germoglieranno come il frumento, e fioriranno come la vite; la ricordanza di esso sarà come il vino del Libano
8 They will come back to live in my shade; they will grow wheat again, they wil make the vine flourish, their wine will be as famous as Lebanon's.	8 O Efraim, che ho io più da far con gl’idoli? Io l’esaudirò, e lo riguarderò; io gli sarò come un abete verdeggiante; per me si troverà il tuo frutto.
9 What has Ephraim to do with idols any more when I hear him and watch over him? I am like anevergreen cypress, you owe your fruitfulness to me.	9 Chi è savio? ponga mente a queste cose; chi è intendente? le riconosca; conciossiachè le vie del Signore sieno diritte, e i giusti cammineranno in esse; ma i trasgressori vi caderanno
10 Let the wise understand these words, let the intel igent grasp their meaning, for Yahweh's ways arestraight and the upright wil walk in them, but sinners wil stumble.
