Hosea 14

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Samaria will pay the penalty for having rebel ed against her God. They wil fall by the sword, their littlechildren wil be dashed to pieces and their pregnant women disembowelled.	1 Samaria espierà, perché si è ribellata al suo Dio; cadranno di spada, i loro bambini saranno sfracellati, e le loro donne incinte sventrate.
2 Israel, come back to Yahweh your God your guilt was the cause of your downfal .	2 Ritorna, Israele, al Signore, tuo Dio, perché sei caduto per i tuoi peccati.
3 Provide yourself with words and come back to Yahweh. Say to him, 'Take all guilt away and give uswhat is good, instead of bulls we wil dedicate to you our lips.	3 Preparate le parole da dire e tornate al Signore. Ditegli: "Perdona ogni iniquità! Fa' che ritroviamo la felicità e ti offriamo il frutto delle nostre labbra!
4 Assyria cannot save us, we will not ride horses any more, or say, "Our God!" to our own handiwork, foryou are the one in whom orphans find compassion.'	4 Assur non ci salverà, non cavalcheremo più i cavalli e non diremo più "nostro Dio" all'opera delle nostre mani, poiché in te trova compassione l'orfano!".
5 I shal cure them of their disloyalty, I shal love them with all my heart, for my anger has turned awayfrom them.	5 Io guarirò il loro traviamento, li amerò con trasporto; perché la mia collera si è ritirata da loro.
6 I shal fal like dew on Israel, he wil bloom like the lily and thrust out roots like the cedar of Lebanon;	6 Sarò come la rugiada per Israele, egli germoglierà come un giglio, getterà le sue radici come un pioppo,
7 he will put out new shoots, he will have the beauty of the olive tree and the fragrance of Lebanon.	7 i suoi germogli si estenderanno lontano; la sua magnificenza sarà come quella dell'olivo, il suo profumo come quello del Libano.
8 They will come back to live in my shade; they will grow wheat again, they wil make the vine flourish, their wine will be as famous as Lebanon's.	8 Torneranno a sedersi alla mia ombra, coltiveranno il frumento e faranno fiorire la vigna che avrà la fama del vino del Libano.
9 What has Ephraim to do with idols any more when I hear him and watch over him? I am like anevergreen cypress, you owe your fruitfulness to me.	9 Efraim che ha ancora in comune con gli idoli? 10 Let the wise understand these words, let the intel igent grasp their meaning, for Yahweh's ways arestraight and the upright wil walk in them, but sinners wil stumble.	10 Chi è sapiente comprenda queste parole e l'intelligente le intenda! Perché le vie del Signore sono diritte; i giusti vi si incamminano, ma i malviventi vi inciampano!
