Jeremiah 33

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 Jeremiah was stil confined to the Court of the Guard when the word of Yahweh came to him a secondtime, as follows,	1 De nuevo fue dirigida la palabra de Yahveh a Jeremías, que estaba aún detenido en el patio de la guardia, en estos términos:
2 'Yahweh who made the earth, who formed it and set it firm -- Yahweh is his name -- says this,	2 Así dice Yahveh, hacedor de la tierra, que la formó para hacerla subsistir, Yahveh es su nombre:
3 "Call to me and I wil answer you; I wil tell you great secrets of which you know nothing.	3 Llámame y te responderé y mostraré cosas grandes, inaccesibles, que desconocías.
4 For this is what Yahweh, God of Israel, says about the houses of this city and the palaces of the kingsof Judah which are about to be destroyed by means of the earthworks and the sword;	4 Porque así dice Yahveh, el Dios de Israel, tocante a las casas de esta ciudad y a las de los reyes de Judá que han sido derruidas. Junto a los terraplenes y a la espada,
5 about those now fighting the Chaldaeans, only to fill the city with corpses, those whom I haveslaughtered in my furious anger, those whose wickedness has made me hide my face from this city:	5 se traba combate con los caldeos para llenar la ciudad de cadáveres humanos, a los que herí en mi ira y mi furor, y por cuya malicia oculté mi rostro de esta ciudad.
6 Look, I shal bring them remedy and cure; I shal cure them and reveal a new order of peace and loyaltyto them.	6 He aquí que yo les aporto su alivio y su medicina. Los curaré y les descubriré una corona de paz y seguridad.
7 I shal bring back the captives of Judah and the captives of Israel and shal rebuild them as before.	7 Haré tornar a los cautivos de Judá y a los cautivos de Israel y los reedificaré como en el pasado,
8 I shal cleanse them of al their guilt, by which they have offended me, I shal forgive al their guiltyactions, by which they have offended me and rebelled against me.	8 y los purificaré de toda culpa que cometieron contra mí, y perdonaré todas las culpas que cometieron contra mí, y con que me fueron rebeldes.
9 And, for me, Jerusalem wil become a name of joy and praise and pride for all the nations on earth tosee; when they hear of al the prosperity that I shal give, they wil be seized with fear and trembling at al theprosperity and the peace that I provide for it."	9 Jerusalén será para mí un nombre evocador de alegría, será prez y ornato para todas las naciones de la tierra que oyeren todo el bien que voy a hacerle, y se asustarán y estremecerán de tanta bondad y de tanta paz como voy a concederle.
10 'Yahweh says this, "In this place of which you now say: It is a ruin, without human or animal, in thetowns of Judah and desolate streets of Jerusalem where there is neither human nor animal, once more wil beheard	10 Así dice Yahveh: Aún se oirá en este lugar, del que vosotros decís que está abandonado, sin personas ni ganados, en todas las ciudades de Judá y en las calles de Jerusalén desoladas, sin personas ni habitantes ni ganados,
11 shouts of rejoicing and mirth, the voices of bridegroom and bride, and the singing of those who bringthanksgiving sacrifices to the Temple of Yahweh: Give thanks to Yahweh Sabaoth, for Yahweh is good, for hisfaithful love is everlasting. For I shal bring back the country's captives, as before, Yahweh says."	11 voz de gozo y de alegría, la voz del novio y la voz de la novia, la voz de cuantos traigan sacrificios de alabanza a la Casa de Yahveh diciendo: «Alabad a Yahveh Sebaot, porque es bueno Yahveh, porque es eterno su amor», pues haré tomar a los cautivos del país, y volverán a ser como antes - dice Yahveh -.
12 'Yahweh Sabaoth says this, "In this ruinous place, without human or animal, in al its towns, onceagain there wil be pastures for the shepherds to rest their flocks.	12 Así dice Yahveh Sebaot: Aún habrá en este lugar abandonado de hombres y ganados y en todas sus ciudades, dehesa de pastores que hagan acostarse a las ovejas:
13 In the towns of the highlands, of the lowlands and the Negeb, in the territory of Benjamin, in thedistricts round Jerusalem and in the towns of Judah, once again the flocks shal pass under the hand ofsomeone who counts them, Yahweh says.	13 en las ciudades de la Montaña, y en las de la Tierra Baja, en las del Négueb y en la tierra de Benjamín y en los contornos de Jerusalén y en las ciudades de Judá, volverán a pasar ovejas ante la mano del que las cuente - dice Yahveh.
14 "Look, the days are coming, Yahweh declares, when I shal fulfil the promise of happiness I made tothe House of Israel and the House of Judah:	14 Mirad que días vienen - oráculo de Yahveh - en que confirmaré la buena palabra que dije a la casa de Israel y a la casa de Judá.
15 In those days and at that time, I shal make an upright Branch grow for David, who wil do what is just and upright in the country.	15 En aquellos días y en aquella sazón haré brotar para David un Germen justo, y practicará el derecho y la justicia en la tierra.
16 In those days Judah will triumph and Israel live in safety. And this is the name the city will be cal ed:Yahweh-is-our-Saving-Justice."	16 En aquellos días estará a salvo Judá, y Jerusalén vivirá en seguro. Y así se la llamará: «Yahveh, justicia nuestra».
17 'For Yahweh says this, "David wil never lack a male descendant to occupy the throne of the House ofIsrael,	17 Pues así dice Yahveh: No le faltará a David quien se siente en el trono de la casa de Israel;
18 nor will the levitical priests ever lack male descendants to stand before me and offer the burntoffering, to burn the cereal offering and offer sacrifice every day." '	18 y a los sacerdotes levíticos no les faltará quien en presencia mía eleve holocaustos y queme incienso de oblación y haga sacrificio cada día.
19 The word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah as fol ows,	19 Fue dirigida la palabra de Yahveh a Jeremías como sigue:
20 'Yahweh says this, "If you could break my covenant with the day and my covenant with the night sothat day and night do not come at their due time,	20 Así dice Yahveh: Si llegareis a romper mi alianza con el día y con la noche, de suerte que no sea de día o de noche a su debido tiempo,
21 then my covenant with David my servant might also be broken and he would have no son to reign onhis throne, and so also might my covenant with the levitical priests, who are my ministers.	21 entonces también mi alianza romperíais con mi siervo David, de suerte que le falte un hijo que reine sobre su trono y con los levitas sacerdotes, mis servidores.
22 As surely as the array of heaven cannot be counted, nor the sand of the sea be measured, so surelyshall I increase the heirs of David my servant and the Levites who minister to me." '	22 Así como es incontable el ejército de los cielos, e incalculable la arena de la mar, así multiplicaré el linaje de mi siervo David y de los levitas que me sirven.
23 The word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah as fol ows,	23 Fue dirigida la palabra de Yahveh a Jeremías como sigue:
24 'Have you not noticed what these people say, "The two families which Yahweh chose he has nowrejected"? So they despise my people, whom they no longer think of as a nation.	24 ¿No has visto qué ha dicho este pueblo?: «Los dos linajes que había elegido Yahveh, los ha rechazado», y a mi pueblo menosprecian, como que ni lo tienen por nación.
25 Yahweh says this, "If I have not created day and night and fixed the laws governing heaven and earth,	25 Pues bien, dice Yahveh: Si no he creado el día y la noche, ni las leyes de los cielos y la tierra he puesto,
26 why, then I shal reject the descendants of Jacob and of David my servant and cease to choose rulersfrom his descendants for the heirs of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob! For I shal bring back their captives and takepity on them." '	26 en ese caso también rechazaré el linaje de Jacob y de mi siervo David, para no escoger más de su linaje a quienes imperen sobre el linaje de Abraham, Isaac y Jacob, cuando yo haga tornar a sus cautivos y les tenga misericordia.
