Leviticus 7

1 ' "This is the ritual for the sacrifice of reparation: "It is especially holy.	1 Haec quoque est lex sacrificii pro delicto: sanctum sanctorum est,
2 The victim must be slaughtered where the burnt offerings are slaughtered, and the priest wil pour theblood al around the altar.	2 idcirco, ubi immolatur holocaustum, mactabitur et victima pro delicto; sanguis eius per gyrum fundetur altaris.
3 He wil then offer al the fat: the tail, the fat covering the entrails,	3 Omnemque adipem offeret ex ea, caudam scilicet et adipem, qui operit vitalia,
4 both kidneys, the fat on them and on the loins, the mass of fat which he wil remove from the liver andkidneys.	4 duos renunculos et pinguedinem, quae super eos iuxta ilia est, reticulumque iecoris, quem iuxta renunculos, auferet;
5 The priest will burn these pieces on the altar as food burnt for Yahweh. This is a sacrifice of reparation.	5 et adolebit ea sacerdos super altare ut incensum Domino: sacrificium pro delicto est.
6 Every male who is a priest may eat it. It wil be eaten inside the holy place; it is especially holy.	6 Omnis masculus de sacerdotali genere in loco sancto vescetur his carnibus, quia sanctum sanctorum est.
7 "As with the sacrifice for sin, so with the sacrifice of reparation -- the ritual is the same for both. Theoffering with which the priest performs the rite of expiation will revert to the priest.	7 Sicut sacrificium pro peccato, ita et sacrificium pro delicto, utriusque hostiae lex una est; ad sacerdotem, qui eam obtulerit, pertinebit.
8 The hide of the victim presented by someone to the priest to be offered as a burnt offering wil revert tothe priest.	8 Sacerdos, qui offert holocaustum cuiusdam viri, habebit pellem victimae,
9 Every cereal offering baked in the oven, every cereal offering cooked in the pan or on the griddle wilrevert to the priest who offers it.	9 et omne sacrificium similae, quod coquitur in clibano, et, quidquid in frixorio vel in sartagine praeparatur, eius erit sacerdotis, a quo offertur;
10 Every cereal offering, mixed with oil or dry, wil revert to all the descendants of Aaron withoutdistinction.	10 et omne sacrificium similae sive oleo conspersum sive aridum fuerit, cunctis filiis Aaron aequa mensura per singulos dividetur.
11 "This is the ritual for the communion sacrifice to be offered to Yahweh:	11 Haec est lex hostiae pacificorum quae offertur Domino;
12 "If this is offered as a sacrifice with praise, to the latter must be added an offering of unleavened cakesmixed with oil, unleavened wafers spread with oil, and wheaten flour in the form of cakes mixed with oil.	12 si pro gratiarum actione fuerit oblatio, offerent panes absque fermento conspersos oleo et lagana azyma uncta oleo coctamque similam ut collyridas olei admixtione conspersas,
13 This offering, then, must be added to the cakes of leavened bread and to the communion sacrifice withpraise.	13 panes quoque fermentatos cum hostia pacificorum pro gratiarum actione,
14 One of the cakes of this offering must be presented as an offering to Yahweh; it will revert to the priestwho pours out the blood of the communion sacrifice.	14 ex quibus unus offeretur munus Domino et erit sacerdotis, qui fundet hostiae sanguinem.
15 The meat of the victim wil be eaten on the day the offering is made; nothing may be left until nextmorning.	15 Cuius carnes eadem comedentur die, nec remanebit ex eis quidquam usque mane.
16 "If the victim is offered as a votive or a voluntary sacrifice, it must be eaten on the day it is offered, and the remainder may be eaten on the fol owing day;	16 Si voto vel sponte quisquam obtulerit hostiam, eadem similiter edetur die; sed et si quid in crastinum remanserit, vesci licitum est;
17 but on the third day whatever is left of the meat of the victim must be burnt.	17 quidquid autem tertius invenerit dies, ignis absumet.
18 "If any of the meat of a victim offered as a communion sacrifice is eaten on the third day, the personwho has offered it wil not be acceptable and wil receive no credit for it. It wil count as rotten meat, and theperson who eats it wil bear the consequences of the guilt.	18 Si quis de carnibus victimae pacificorum die tertio comederit, irrita fiet oblatio nec proderit offerenti; quin potius, quaecumque anima tali se edulio contaminarit, praevaricationis rea erit.
19 "Meat that has touched anything unclean cannot be eaten; it must be burnt. "Anyone clean may eat themeat,	19 Caro, quae aliquid tetigerit immundum, non comedetur, sed comburetur igni; ceterum carne, qui fuerit mundus, vescetur.
20 but anyone unclean who eats the meat of a communion sacrifice offered to Yahweh wil be outlawedfrom his people.	20 Anima polluta, quae ederit de carnibus hostiae pacificorum, quae oblata est Domino, peribit de populis suis;
21 Furthermore, if anyone touches anything unclean, human or animal, or any foul thing, and then eatsthe meat of a communion sacrifice offered to Yahweh, that individual wil be outlawed from his people." '	21 et, quae tetigerit immunditiam hominis vel iumenti, sive omnis rei abominabilis, quae polluere potest, et comederit de huiuscemodi carnibus, interibit de populis suis ”.
22 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,	22 Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen dicens:
23 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "You may not eat the fat of ox, sheep or goat.	23 “ Loquere filiis Israel: Adipem bovis et ovis et caprae non comedetis.
24 The fat of an animal that has died a natural death or been savaged by beasts may be used for anyother purpose, but you are not to eat it.	24 Adipem cadaveris morticini et eius animalis, quod a bestia laceratum est, habebitis in usus varios, sed non comedetis.
25 Anyone who eats the fat of an animal offered as food burnt for Yahweh wil be outlawed from hispeople.	25 Si quis adipem, qui offertur in incensum Domini, comederit, peribit de populo suo.
26 "Wherever you live, you wil never eat blood, whether it be of bird or of beast.	26 Sanguinem quoque omnis animalis non sumetis in cibo, tam de avibus quam de pecoribus;
27 Anyone who eats any blood wil be outlawed from his people." '	27 omnis anima, quae ederit sanguinem, peribit de populis suis ”.
28 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,	28 Locutus est Dominus ad Moysen dicens:
29 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "Anyone who offers Yahweh a communion sacrifice must bring himpart of his sacrifice as an offering.	29 “ Loquere filiis Israel: Qui offert victimam pacificorum Domino, afferat oblationem suam Domino de victima pacificorum.
30 He must bring the food to be burnt for Yahweh, that is to say, the fat adhering to the forequarters, withhis own hands. He wil bring it, and also the forequarters, with which he wil make the gesture of offering beforeYahweh.	30 Tenebit manibus incensa Domini, adipem scilicet et pectusculum afferet; pectusculum, ut elevetur coram Domino.
31 The priest wil then burn the fat on the altar, and the forequarters wil revert to Aaron and hisdescendants.	31 Et sacerdos adolebit adipem super altare; pectusculum autem erit Aaron et filiorum eius.
32 You will set aside the right thigh from your communion sacrifice and give it to the priest.	32 Armus quoque dexter de pacificorum hostiis cedet in munus sacerdotis.
33 The right thigh will be the portion of the descendant of Aaron who offers the blood and fat of thecommunion sacrifice.	33 Qui de filiis Aaron obtulerit sanguinem et adipem victimae pacificorum, ipse habebit armum dextrum in portione sua;
34 For I have deprived the Israelites of the forequarter offered and the thigh presented in their communionsacrifices, and given them to the priest Aaron and his descendants; this is a perpetual law for the Israelites." '	34 pectusculum enim elationis et armum donationis tuli a filiis Israel de hostiis eorum pacificis et dedi Aaron sacerdoti ac filiis eius, lege perpetua, ab omni populo Israel ”.
35 Such was the portion of Aaron and his descendants in the food burnt for Yahweh, the day hepresented them to Yahweh for them to become his priests.	35 Haec est portio Aaron et filiorum eius de incensis Domini die, qua applicavit eos, ut sacerdotio fungerentur;
36 This was what Yahweh ordered the Israelites to give them on the day they were anointed: a perpetuallaw for al their descendants.	36 et quae praecepit dari eis Dominus a filiis Israel die, qua unxit eos, religione perpetua in generationibus eorum.
37 Such was the ritual for burnt offering, cereal offering, sacrifice for sin, sacrifice of reparation, investituresacrifice and communion sacrifice,	37 Ista est lex holocausti et oblationis similae et sacrificii pro peccato atque delicto et pro consecratione et pacificorum victimis,
38 which Yahweh laid down for Moses on Mount Sinai, the day he ordered the Israelites to make theirofferings to Yahweh in the desert of Sinai.	38 quam constituit Dominus Moysi in monte Sinai, quando mandavit filiis Israel, ut offerrent oblationes suas Domino in deserto Sinai.
