About Zion I wil not be silent, about Jerusalem I shal not rest until saving justice dawns for her like abright light and her salvation like a blazing torch.1 For the sake of Zion, I will not be silent, and for the sake of Jerusalem, I will not rest, until her Just One advances in splendor, and her Savior is kindled like a lamp.
The nations wil then see your saving justice, and all kings your glory, and you wil be cal ed a newname which Yahweh's mouth wil reveal.2 And the Gentiles will see your Just One, and all the kings will see your Renown One. And you shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord will choose.
You will be a crown of splendour in Yahweh's hand, a princely diadem in the hand of your God.3 And you shall be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
No more wil you be known as 'Forsaken' or your country be known as 'Desolation'; instead, you wil becal ed 'My Delight is in her' and your country 'The Wedded'; for Yahweh wil take delight in you and your countrywil have its wedding.4 You will no longer called Forsaken. And your land will no longer be called Desolate. Instead, you shall be called My Will within it, and your land shall be called Inhabited. For the Lord has been well pleased with you, and your land will be inhabited.
Like a young man marrying a virgin, your rebuilder will wed you, and as the bridegroom rejoices in his bride, so wil your God rejoice in you.5 For the young man will live with the virgin, and your children will live with you. And the groom will rejoice over the bride, and your God will rejoice over you.
On your wal s, Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen; they will never fal silent, day or night. No peace foryou, as you keep Yahweh's attention!6 Upon your walls, O Jerusalem, I have stationed watchmen all day and all night unceasingly; they will not be silent. You who are mindful of the Lord, you should not be silent,
And give him no peace either until he restores Jerusalem and makes her the pride of the world!7 and you should not grant silence to him, until he makes firm and establishes Jerusalem as a praise upon the earth.
Yahweh has sworn by his right hand and by his mighty arm: Never again shall I give your grain to feedyour enemies. Never again will foreigners drink the wine for which you have toiled.8 The Lord has sworn with his right hand and with the arm of his strength: “Certainly, I will no longer permit your grain to be the food of your enemies. And the sons of foreigners will not drink your wine, for which you have labored.”
No, the reapers wil eat it and praise Yahweh, the harvesters will drink it in my sacred courts!9 For those who gather it will eat it, and they will praise the Lord. And those who bring it together will drink it in my holy courts.
Pass through, pass through the gates. Clear a way for my people! Level up, level up the highway, remove the stones! Hoist a signal to the peoples!10 Pass through, pass through the gates! Prepare a way for the people! Make the road level, remove the stones, and lift up a sign for the people!
This is what Yahweh has proclaimed to the remotest part of earth: Say to the daughter of Zion, 'Look, your salvation is coming; with him comes his reward, his achievement precedes him!'11 Behold, the Lord has caused it to be heard to the ends of the earth. Tell the daughter of Zion: “Behold, your Saviour approaches! Behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.”
They will be cal ed 'The Holy People', 'Yahweh's Redeemed', while you will be cal ed 'Sought-after','City-not-forsaken'.12 And they will call them: The holy people, the redeemed of the Lord. Then you will be called: A city sought, and not forsaken.
