Isaiah 31

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA RICCIOTTI
1 Woe to those going down to Egypt for help, who put their trust in horses, who rely on the quantity ofchariots, and on great strength of cavalrymen, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel or consult Yahweh.	1 - Guai a coloro che scendono in Egitto per aver aiuto; che mettono la loro speranza nei cavalli; e confidano nei cocchi, perchè sono numerosi, e nella cavalleria, perchè è molto forte; e non hanno confidato nel Santo d'Israele e non sono ricorsi al Signore!
2 Yet he too is wise and can bring disaster and he wil not go back on his word; he wil rise against thebreed of evil-doers and against those who protect wrong-doers.	2 Ma egli è sapiente, ha mandato il male e le parole sue non ha revocato: e si leverà contro la casa dei malvagi e contro l'aiuto degli operatori di iniquità.
3 The Egyptian is human, not divine, his horses are flesh, not spirit; Yahweh wil stretch out his hand: theprotector wil stumble, the protected wil fal and all wil perish together.	3 L'Egitto è uomo e non Dio; e i suoi cavalli, carne e non spirito; e il Signore stenderà la sua mano; e chi soccorre cadrà, e chi è soccorso cascherà e insieme tutti periranno.
4 Yes, this is what Yahweh has said to me: As a lion or lion cub growls over its prey, when scores ofshepherds are summoned to drive it off, without being frightened by their shouting or cowed by the noise theymake, just so will Yahweh Sabaoth descend to fight for Mount Zion and for its hil .	4 Perchè il Signore mi ha detto così: «Quale un leone o un leoncello che rugge sulla sua preda, e benchè lo incalzi una turba di pastori, non teme le loro voci e del loro numero non si spaventa; tale il Signore degli eserciti discenderà per combattere sul monte Sion, sulla sua collina.
5 Like hovering birds, so wil Yahweh Sabaoth protect Jerusalem; by protecting it, he will save it, bysupporting it, he wil deliver it.	5 Alla stessa guisa degli uccelli che aleggiano, il Signore degli eserciti proteggerà Gerusalemme coprendola, liberandola, risparmiandola e tenendola in salvo.
6 Come back to the one whom the Israelites have so deeply betrayed!	6 Tornate a lui quanto più estremamente vi eravate allontanati, o figli d'Israele!
7 For, that day, each of you wil throw away the false gods of silver and the false gods of gold which yourown sinful hands have made.	7 Perchè in quel giorno ciascuno getterà via gli idoli d'oro e gli idoli d'argento che vi eravate fatti colle vostre mani in peccato.
8 Assyria will fal by the sword, not that of a man, wil be devoured by the sword, of no human being, hewil flee before the sword and his young warriors will be enslaved.	8 E Asur cadrà sotto la spada non di un uomo: una spada non umana lo divorerà, fuggirà non dinanzi alla spada, e i suoi giovani saranno sottoposti a tributo.
9 In his terror he wil abandon his rock, and his panic-stricken officers desert the standard -- declaresYahweh, whose fire is in Zion, whose furnace, in Jerusalem.	9 E la sua fermezza pel terrore sparirà, e i suoi principi si daranno alla fuga spaventati», dice il Signore, che ha il suo fuoco in Sion e la sua fornace in Gerusalemme.
