Isaiah 31

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 Woe to those going down to Egypt for help, who put their trust in horses, who rely on the quantity ofchariots, and on great strength of cavalrymen, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel or consult Yahweh.	1 ¡Ay, los que bajan a Egipto por ayuda! En la caballería se apoyan, y fían en los carros porque abundan y en los jinetes porque son muchos; mas no han puesto su mirada en el Santo de Israel, ni a Yahveh han buscado.
2 Yet he too is wise and can bring disaster and he wil not go back on his word; he wil rise against thebreed of evil-doers and against those who protect wrong-doers.	2 Pero también él es sabio, hará venir el mal, y no retirará sus palabras; se levantará contra la casa de los malhechores y contra la ayuda de los que obran la iniquidad.
3 The Egyptian is human, not divine, his horses are flesh, not spirit; Yahweh wil stretch out his hand: theprotector wil stumble, the protected wil fal and all wil perish together.	3 En cuanto a Egipto, es humano, no divino, y sus caballos, carne, y no espíritu; Yahveh extenderá su mano, tropezará el ayudador y caerá el ayudado y todos a una perecerán.
4 Yes, this is what Yahweh has said to me: As a lion or lion cub growls over its prey, when scores ofshepherds are summoned to drive it off, without being frightened by their shouting or cowed by the noise theymake, just so will Yahweh Sabaoth descend to fight for Mount Zion and for its hil .	4 Porque así me ha dicho Yahveh: Como ruge el león y el cachorro sobre su presa, y cuando se convoca contra él a todos los pastores, de sus voces no se intimida, ni de su tumulto se apoca: tal será el descenso de Yahveh Sebaot para guerrear sobre el monte Sión y sobre su colina.
5 Like hovering birds, so wil Yahweh Sabaoth protect Jerusalem; by protecting it, he will save it, bysupporting it, he wil deliver it.	5 Como pájaros que vuelan, así protegerá Yahveh Sebaot a Jerusalén, protegerá y librará, perdonará y salvará.
6 Come back to the one whom the Israelites have so deeply betrayed!	6 Volveos a aquel de quien profundamente os apartasteis, hijos de Israel.
7 For, that day, each of you wil throw away the false gods of silver and the false gods of gold which yourown sinful hands have made.	7 Porque aquel día repudiará cada uno las divinidades de plata y las divinidades de oro que hicieron vuestras manos pecadoras.

9 In his terror he wil abandon his rock, and his panic-stricken officers desert the standard -- declaresYahweh, whose fire is in Zion, whose furnace, in Jerusalem.	9 Aterrado, abandonará su tropa, y sus jefes espantados abandonarán su estandarte.
