Isaiah 31

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Woe to those going down to Egypt for help, who put their trust in horses, who rely on the quantity ofchariots, and on great strength of cavalrymen, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel or consult Yahweh.	1 ¡Ay de los que bajan a Egipto para pedir ayuda, y buscan apoyo en los caballos! Ellos confían en los carros, porque son numerosos, y en los jinetes, porque son muy fuertes, pero no miran el Santo de Israel ni consultan al Señor.
2 Yet he too is wise and can bring disaster and he wil not go back on his word; he wil rise against thebreed of evil-doers and against those who protect wrong-doers.	2 Sin embargo, él también es sabio: hace venir la desgracia y no revoca su palabra, se levanta contra la casa de los malvados y contra la ayuda de los malhechores.
3 The Egyptian is human, not divine, his horses are flesh, not spirit; Yahweh wil stretch out his hand: theprotector wil stumble, the protected wil fal and all wil perish together.	3 Los egipcios son hombres y no dioses, sus caballos son carne y no espíritu. Cuando el Señor extienda su mano, tropezará el que ayuda, y caerá el que es ayudado, y todos juntos desaparecerán.
4 Yes, this is what Yahweh has said to me: As a lion or lion cub growls over its prey, when scores ofshepherds are summoned to drive it off, without being frightened by their shouting or cowed by the noise theymake, just so will Yahweh Sabaoth descend to fight for Mount Zion and for its hil .	4 Porque así me ha hablado el Señor: Como gruñe el león o el cachorro de león sobre su presa, cuando se llama contra él a todos los pastores, sin dejarse intimidar por sus gritos ni amedrentarse por el tumulto, así el Señor de los ejércitos bajará a combatir sobre la montaña de Sión y su colina.
5 Like hovering birds, so wil Yahweh Sabaoth protect Jerusalem; by protecting it, he will save it, bysupporting it, he wil deliver it.	5 Como pájaros que revolotean, así el Señor de los ejércitos protegerá a Jerusalén: él protegerá, salvará, perdonará, librará.
6 Come back to the one whom the Israelites have so deeply betrayed!	6 ¡Vuelvan, israelitas, a aquel de quien se han apartado tanto!
7 For, that day, each of you wil throw away the false gods of silver and the false gods of gold which yourown sinful hands have made.	7 Sí, en aquel día, cada uno rechazará sus ídolos de plata y sus ídolos de oro esos que ustedes se han fabricado con sus manos pecadoras.
8 Assyria will fal by the sword, not that of a man, wil be devoured by the sword, of no human being, hewil flee before the sword and his young warriors will be enslaved.	8 Asiria caerá bajo una espada que no es de un hombre, una espada no humana la devorará: ella huirá delante de la espada y sus jóvenes irán a trabajos forzados.
9 In his terror he wil abandon his rock, and his panic-stricken officers desert the standard -- declaresYahweh, whose fire is in Zion, whose furnace, in Jerusalem.	9 Su roca huirá aterrorizada, y sus jefes, espantados. abandonarán el estandarte. –oráculo del Señor, que tiene su fuego en Sión y su horno en Jerusalén–.
