1 Proclamation about Moab: Laid waste in a night, Ar-Moab lies silent; Laid waste in a night, Kir-Moablies silent.	1 Proroštvo o Moabu. Obnoć opustošen, šaptom pade Ar Moab! Obnoć opustošen, šaptom pade Kir Moab!
2 The daughter of Dibon has climbed to the high places to weep; on Nebo and in Medeba Moab laments.Every head shaven, every beard cut off,	2 Uspinju se u hram dibonski, na uzvišice da plaču; nad Nebom i nad Medebom Moab nariče! Sve su glave ostrižene, a sve brade obrijane;
3 they wear sackcloth in their streets; on their roofs and in their squares, everyone is lamenting andcol apsing in tears.	3 na ulicama oblače vreće, na njegovim krovovima leleču! Na njegovim trgovima svi nariču i suze prolijevaju.
4 Heshbon and Elealeh are crying out in distress, their voices can be heard as far as Jahaz. That is whythe warriors of Moab are shivering, his soul trembles at the sound.	4 Jauču Hešbon i Eleala, do Jahasa jauk se čuje. Zato dršću bokovi Moabu, strepi duša njegova;
5 His heart cries out in distress for Moab, whose fugitives are already at Zoar, nearly at Eglath-Shelishiyah. They climb the slope of Luhith, weeping as they go; on the road to Horonaim they utter heart-rending cries.	5 srce Moabovo jeca, bjegunci mu idu do Soara. Da, uz brdo Luhit uspinju se plačući; putem horonajimskim razliježe se jauk nad propašću.
6 The Waters of Nimrim have become a waste land, the grass dried up, the plants withered away,nothing green any more.	6 Da! Vode nimrimske postadoše pustinja: trava usahla, bilja nestalo, zelenila više nema.
7 That is why they are carrying what they could save of their stores across the Ravine of the Wil ows.	7 Zato stečevinu koju stekoše i ono što prištedješe nose preko Potoka vrbâ.
8 For the cry for help re-echoes round the territory of Moab; their wailing, right to Eglaim, to Beer-Elim,their wailing;	8 Da! Jauk se razliježe po kraju moapskom: kukanje mu do Eglajima, kukanje mu do Beer Elima.
9 Dimon's waters are swol en with blood, and I have worse in store for Dimon: a lion for those of Moabwho survive, for those left on its soil.	9 Da! Vode dimonske krvi su pune, i još jednu nesreću dodajem Dimonu: jednog lava na moapske bjegunce i na preživjele u zemlji.
