Isaiah 10

NEW JERUSALEM	EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL
1 Woe to those who enact unjust decrees, who compose oppressive legislation	1 Weh denen, die unheilvolle Gesetze erlassen und unerträgliche Vorschriften machen,
2 to deny justice to the weak and to cheat the humblest of my people of fair judgement, to make widowstheir prey and to rob the orphan.	2 um die Schwachen vom Gericht fern zu halten und den Armen meines Volkes ihr Recht zu rauben, um die Witwen auszubeuten und die Waisen auszuplündern.
3 What wil you do on the day of punishment, when disaster comes from far away? To whom wil you runfor help and where wil you leave your riches,	3 Was wollt ihr tun, wenn die Strafe naht, wenn das Unwetter von fern heraufzieht? Zu wem wollt ihr flüchten, um Hilfe zu finden, wo euren Reichtum verstecken?
4 to avoid squatting among the captives or fal ing among the slain? After all this, his anger is not spent.No, his hand is still raised!	4 Ihr werdet euch unter Gefangenen (am Boden) krümmen und werdet unter Erschlagenen liegen. Doch bei all dem lässt sein Zorn nicht nach, seine Hand bleibt ausgestreckt.
5 Woe to Assyria, rod of my anger, the club in their hands is my fury!	5 Weh Assur, dem Stock meines Zorns! Es ist der Knüppel in meiner wütenden Hand.
6 I was sending him against a godless nation, commissioning him against the people who enraged me, topil age and plunder at will and trample on them like the mud in the streets.	6 Gegen ein ruchloses Volk schicke ich ihn, auf die Nation, der ich zürne, lasse ich ihn los,damit er Beute erbeutet und raubt wie ein Räuber, sie zertritt wie den Staub auf den Straßen.
7 But this was not his intention nor did his heart plan it so, for he dreamed of putting an end to them, ofliquidating nations without number!	7 Doch Assur stellt es sich nicht so vor, sein Herz plant es anders, es hat nur Vernichtung im Sinn, die Ausrottung nicht weniger Völker.
8 For he thought, 'Are not my officers al kings?	8 Denn es sagt: Ist nicht jeder meiner Fürsten ein König?
9 Is not Calno like Carchemish, Hamath like Arpad, Samaria like Damascus?	9 Ging es nicht Kalne genau so wie Karkemisch, Hamat wie Arpad, Samaria wie Damaskus?
10 As my hand has found the kingdoms of the false gods, where there were more images than inJerusalem and Samaria,	10 Wie meine Hand die Königreiche der Götter erobert hat, deren Götterbilder die von Jerusalem und Samaria übertrafen,
11 as I have treated Samaria and her false gods shal I not treat Jerusalem and her statues too?'	11 wie ich es mit Samaria und seinen Göttern gemacht habe, so mache ich es auch mit Jerusalem und seinen Göttern.
12 When the Lord has completed al his work on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, he wil punish the fruit ofthe king of Assyria's boastful heart and the insolence of his haughty looks.	12 Wenn der Herr sein Werk auf dem Berg Zion und in Jerusalem vollendet hat, dann straft er das hochmütige Gebaren und die dreiste Überheblichkeit des Königs von Assur;
13 For he thinks: 'By the strength of my own arm I have done this and by my own wisdom: how intel igentI have been! I have abolished the frontiers between peoples, I have plundered their treasures, like a hero, I havesubjugated their inhabitants.	13 denn er hat gesagt: Das alles habe ich mit meiner starken Hand und mit meiner Weisheit vollbracht; denn ich bin klug. Die Grenzen zwischen den Völkern habe ich aufgehoben, ihre Schätze geplündert, wie ein Held habe ich die Könige vom Thron gestoßen.
14 My hand has found, as though a bird's nest, the riches of the peoples. Like someone col ectingdeserted eggs, I have col ected the whole world while no one has fluttered a wing or opened a beak to squawk.'	14 Wie man in ein Nest greift, so griff meine Hand nach dem Reichtum der Völker. Wie man verlassene Eier sammelt, so habe ich alle Länder der Erde gesammelt. Da war keiner, der mit den Flügeln schlug, keiner, der den Schnabel aufriss und piepste.
15 Does the axe claim more credit than the man who wields it, or the saw more strength than the manwho handles it? As though a staff controlled those who raise it, or the club could raise what is not made of wood!	15 Prahlt denn die Axt gegenüber dem, der mit ihr hackt, oder brüstet die Säge sich vor dem, der mit ihr sägt? Das wäre, wie wenn der Stock den Mann schwingt, der ihn hochhebt, oder wie wenn der Knüppel den hochhebt, der nicht aus Holz ist.
16 That is why Yahweh Sabaoth is going to inflict leanness on his stout men, and beneath his glorykindle a fever burning like a fire.	16 Darum schickt Gott, der Herr der Heere, den feisten Männern (von Assur) die Schwindsucht. Er entfacht ein Feuer unter Assurs Pracht, ein loderndes Feuer.
17 The light of Israel wil become a fire and its Holy One a flame burning and devouring his thorn-bushesand brambles in a day.	17 Israels Licht wird zum Feuer, sein Heiliger wird zur Flamme. Sie brennt und verzehrt die Dornen und Disteln von Assur an einem einzigen Tag.
18 He wil consume his luxuriant forest and productive ground, he will ravage body and soul: it wil be likea consumptive wasting away;	18 Seinen herrlichen Wald, seinen fruchtbaren Garten, mit Stumpf und Stiel vernichtet er ihn; es ist, wie wenn ein Kranker dahinsiecht.
19 and what remain of the trees of his forest will be so few that a child could write their number.	19 Von den Bäumen in seinem Wald bleiben nur wenige übrig, selbst ein Kind kann sie zählen.
20 When that day comes, the remnant of Israel and the survivors of the House of Jacob will stop relyingon the man who strikes them and wil truly rely on Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel.	20 An jenem Tag wird Israels Rest - und wer vom Haus Jakob entkommen ist - sich nicht mehr auf den stützen, der ihn schlägt, sondern er stützt sich in beständiger Treue auf den Herrn, auf den Heiligen Israels.
21 A remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.	21 Ein Rest kehrt um zum starken Gott, ein Rest von Jakob.
22 Israel, though your people are like the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them wil return: adestruction has been decreed which wil make justice overflow,	22 Israel, wenn auch dein Volk so zahlreich ist wie der Sand am Meer - nur ein Rest von ihnen kehrt um. Die Vernichtung ist beschlossen, die Gerechtigkeit flutet heran.
23 for, throughout the country, the Lord Yahweh Sabaoth wil enforce the destruction now decreed.	23 Ja, Gott, der Herr der Heere, vollstreckt auf der ganzen Erde die Vernichtung, die er beschlossen hat.
24 That is why the Lord Yahweh Sabaoth says this: My people who live in Zion, do not be afraid ofAssyria! He may strike you with the rod, he may raise the club against you (on the way from Egypt),	24 Darum - so spricht Gott, der Herr der Heere: Fürchte dich nicht, mein Volk, das auf dem Berg Zion wohnt, vor Assur, das dich mit dem Stock schlägt und das seinen Knüppel gegen dich erhebt wie einst die Ägypter.
25 but in a very short time the retribution will come to an end, and my anger wil destroy them.	25 Nur noch ganz kurze Zeit, dann wird mein grimmiger Zorn sie völlig vernichten,
26 Yahweh Sabaoth wil brandish a whip at him as he struck Midian at Oreb's Rock, wil brandish his rodat the Sea as he raised it on the way from Egypt.	26 dann schwingt der Herr der Heere über sie die Peitsche, wie einst, als er Midian am Rabenfels schlug. Er erhebt seinen Stab über das Meer wie einst in Ägypten.
27 When that day comes, his burden will fal from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck, and theyoke wil be destroyed . . .	27 An jenem Tag fällt Assurs Last von deiner Schulter, sein Joch wird von deinem Nacken genommen.
28 He has reached Aiath, he has moved on to Migron, he has left his baggage train at Michmash.	28 Assur zieht von Rimmon herauf, rückt gegen Aja vor, marschiert durch Migron und lässt seinen Tross in Michmas zurück.
29 They have passed through the defile, they have bivouacked at Geba. Ramah quaked, Gibeah of Saulhas fled.	29 Sie passieren den Pass und übernachten in Geba. Rama erschrickt und es flieht Gibea-Saul.
30 Cry your loudest, Bath-Gal im! Pay attention, Laish! Answer her, Anathoth!	30 Lass deine Stimme gellen, Tochter Gallim! Lausche, Lajescha! Anatot, antworte ihr!
31 Madmenah has run away, the inhabitants of Gebim have taken cover.	31 Madmena flüchtet, die Bewohner von Gebim ergreifen die Flucht.
32 This very day, as he halts at Nob, he wil shake his fist at the mountain of the daughter of Zion, the hilof Jerusalem.	32 Heute noch wird er in Nob Stellung beziehen und seine Hand drohend gegen den Berg der Tochter Zion erheben, gegen Jerusalems Hügel.
33 See how the Lord Yahweh Sabaoth violently lops off the foliage! The ones standing highest are cutdown, the proudest are laid low!	33 Seht, Gott, der Herr der Heere, schlägt mit schrecklicher Gewalt die Zweige ab. Die mächtigen Bäume werden gefällt und alles, was hoch ist, wird niedrig.
34 The forest thickets fal beneath the axe, and the Lebanon fal s to the blows of a Mighty One.	34 Das Dickicht des Waldes wird mit dem Eisen gerodet, der Libanon fällt durch die Hand eines Mächtigen.
