NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Love uprightness you who are rulers on earth, be properly disposed towards the Lord and seek him insimplicity of heart;	1 Amen la justicia, ustedes, los que gobiernan la tierra, piensen rectamente acerca del Señor y búsquenlo con sencillez de corazón.
2 for he wil be found by those who do not put him to the test, revealing himself to those who do notmistrust him.	2 Porque él se deja encontrar por los que no lo tientan, y se manifiesta a los que no desconfían de él.
3 Perverse thoughts, however, separate people from God, and power, when put to the test, confounds thestupid.	3 Los pensamientos tortuosos apartan de Dios, y el Poder puesto a prueba, confunde a los insensatos.
4 Wisdom wil never enter the soul of a wrong-doer, nor dwell in a body enslaved to sin;	4 La Sabiduría no entra en un alma que hace el mal ni habita en un cuerpo sometido al pecado.
5 for the holy spirit of instruction flees deceitfulness, recoils from unintel igent thoughts, is thwarted by theonset of vice.	5 Porque el santo espíritu, el educador, huye de la falsedad, se aparta de los razonamientos insensatos, y se siente rechazado cuando sobreviene la injusticia.
6 Wisdom is a spirit friendly to humanity, though she will not let a blasphemer's words go unpunished;since God observes the very soul and accurately surveys the heart, listening to every word.	6 La Sabiduría es un espíritu amigo de los hombres, pero no dejará sin castigo las palabras del blasfemo, porque Dios es el testigo de sus sentimientos, el observador veraz de su corazón, y escucha todo lo que dice su lengua.
7 For the spirit of the Lord fil s the world, and that which holds everything together knows every word said.	7 Porque el espíritu del Señor llena la tierra, y él, que mantiene unidas todas las cosas, sabe todo lo que se dice.
8 No one who speaks what is wrong will go undetected, nor will avenging Justice pass by such a one.	8 Por eso no podrá ocultarse el que habla perversamente, la justicia acusadora no pasará de largo junto a él.
9 For the schemes of the godless wil be examined, and a report of his words wil reach the Lord toconvict him of his crimes.	9 Los designios del impío serán examinados: el eco de sus palabras llegará hasta el Señor, como prueba acusadora de sus iniquidades.
10 There is a jealous ear that overhears everything, not even a murmur of complaint escapes it.	10 Un oído celoso lo escucha todo, no se le escapa ni el más lleve murmullo.
11 So beware of uttering frivolous complaints, restrain your tongue from finding fault; even what is said insecret has repercussions, and a lying mouth deals death to the soul.	11 Cuídense, entonces, de las murmuraciones inútiles y preserven su lengua de la maledicencia; porque la palabra más secreta no se pronuncia en vano, y una boca mentirosa da muerte al alma.
12 Do not court death by the errors of your ways, nor invite destruction through the work of your hands.	12 No busquen la muerte viviendo extraviadamente, ni se atraigan la ruina con las obras de sus manos.
13 For God did not make Death, he takes no pleasure in destroying the living.	13 Porque Dios no ha hecho la muerte ni se complace en la perdición de los vivientes.
14 To exist -- for this he created all things; the creatures of the world have health in them, in them is nofatal poison, and Hades has no power over the world:	14 El ha creado todas las cosas para que subsistan; las criaturas del mundo son saludables, no hay en ellas ningún veneno mortal y la muerte no ejerce su dominio sobre la tierra.
15 for uprightness is immortal.	15 Porque la justicia es inmortal.
16 But the godless cal for Death with deed and word, counting him friend, they wear themselves out forhim; with him they make a pact, worthy as they are to belong to him.	16 Pero los impíos llaman a la muerte con gestos y palabras: teniéndola por amiga, se desviven por ella y han hecho con ella un pacto, porque son dignos de pertenecerle.
