Psalms 14

NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 [For the choirmaster Of David] The fool has said in his heart, 'There is no God.' Their deeds arecorrupt and vile, not one of them does right.	1 Ao mestre de canto. De Davi. Diz o insensato em seu coração: Não há Deus. Corromperam-se os homens, sua conduta é abominável, não há um só que faça o bem.
2 Yahweh looks down from heaven at the children of Adam. To see if a single one is wise, a single oneseeks God.	2 O Senhor, do alto do céu, observa os filhos dos homens, para ver se, acaso, existe alguém sensato que busque a Deus.
3 Al have turned away, all alike turned sour, not one of them does right, not a single one.	3 Mas todos eles se extraviaram e se perverteram; não há mais ninguém que faça o bem, nem um, nem mesmo um só.
4 Are they not aware, all these evil-doers? They are devouring my people, this is the bread they eat, andthey never call to Yahweh.	4 Não se emendarão esses obreiros do mal, que devoram meu povo como quem come pão? Eles que não invocam o Senhor?
5 They wil be gripped with fear, where there is no need for fear, for God takes the side of the upright;	5 Mas irão tremer de pavor, porque Deus está com a raça dos justos;
6 you may mock the plans of the poor, but Yahweh is their refuge.	6 pretendeis frustrar os planos do humilde, mas o Senhor é seu refúgio.
7 Who wil bring from Zion salvation for Israel? When Yahweh brings his people home, what joy forJacob, what happiness for Israel!	7 Ah, que venha de Sião a salvação de Israel! Quando o Senhor tiver mudado a sorte de seu povo, Jacó exultará e Israel se alegrará.
