Psalms 132

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 [Song of Ascents] Yahweh, remember David and al the hardships he endured,	1 Canto delle ascensioni. Ricòrdati, o Signore, di Davide e di tutte le sue fatiche,
2 the oath he swore to Yahweh, his vow to the Mighty One of Jacob:	2 come egli giurò al Signore, fece voto al Potente di Giacobbe:
3 'I wil not enter tent or house, wil not climb into bed,	3 "Non entrerò nella tenda della mia casa, non salirò sul letto del mio riposo,
4 will not al ow myself to sleep, not even to close my eyes,	4 non concederò sonno ai miei occhi, né riposo alle mie palpebre,
5 til I have found a place for Yahweh, a dwel ing for the Mighty One of Jacob!'	5 finché non trovi una sede per il Signore, una dimora per il Potente di Giacobbe".
6 Listen, we heard of it in Ephrathah, we found it at Forest-Fields.	6 Ecco, ne abbiamo sentito parlare in E'frata; l'abbiamo trovata nei campi di Iàar.
7 Let us go into his dwel ing-place, and worship at his footstool.	7 Andiamo alla sua dimora, prostriamoci allo sgabello dei suoi piedi!
8 Go up, Yahweh, to your resting-place, you and the ark of your strength.	8 Sorgi, Signore, verso il tuo riposo, tu e l'arca della tua potenza.
9 Your priests are robed in saving justice, your faithful are shouting for joy.	9 I tuoi sacerdoti si vestano di giustizia, i tuoi fedeli gridino di gioia.
10 For the sake of your servant David, do not reject your anointed.	10 Per amore di Davide tuo servo, non respingere il volto del tuo consacrato.
11 Yahweh has sworn to David, and wil always remain true to his word, 'I promise that I wil set a sonof yours upon your throne.	11 Il Signore giurò a Davide una promessa da cui non tornerà indietro: "Il frutto del tuo seno porrò sul tuo trono.
12 If your sons observe my covenant and the instructions I have taught them, their sons too forevermore wil occupy your throne.'	12 Se i tuoi figli custodiranno il mio patto e i miei precetti che a loro impartirò, anche i loro figli, di età in età, siederanno sul tuo trono".
13 For Yahweh has chosen Zion, he has desired it as a home.	13 Sì, il Signore ha scelto Sion, l'ha voluta per sua dimora:
14 'Here shal I rest for evermore, here shal I make my home as I have wished.	14 "Qui sarà il mio riposo per sempre, qui siederò, poiché l'ho voluto.
15 'I shal generously bless her produce, give her needy their fil of food,	15 Benedirò largamente le sue provviste, sazierò di pane i suoi poveri.
16 I shal clothe her priests with salvation, and her faithful wil sing aloud for joy.	16 Rivestirò di salvezza i suoi sacerdoti; esulteranno di gioia i suoi fedeli.
17 'There I shal raise up a line of descendants for David, light a lamp for my anointed;	17 Là farò germinare per Davide una potenza; preparerò una lampada per il mio consacrato.
18 I shal clothe his enemies with shame, while his own crown shall flourish.'	18 Rivestirò d'ignominia i suoi nemici, mentre su di lui fiorirà il suo diadema".
