Psalms 132

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 [Song of Ascents] Yahweh, remember David and al the hardships he endured,	1 Canto de peregrinación. Acuérdate, Señor, en favor de David, de todos sus desvelos,
2 the oath he swore to Yahweh, his vow to the Mighty One of Jacob:	2 del juramento que prestó al Señor, del voto que hizo al Fuerte de Jacob:
3 'I wil not enter tent or house, wil not climb into bed,	3 «No entraré bajo el techo de mi casa ni me acostaré en mi propio lecho;
4 will not al ow myself to sleep, not even to close my eyes,	4 no daré descanso a mis ojos ni reposo a mis párpados,
5 til I have found a place for Yahweh, a dwel ing for the Mighty One of Jacob!'	5 hasta que encuentre un lugar para el Señor, una Morada para el Fuerte de Jacob».
6 Listen, we heard of it in Ephrathah, we found it at Forest-Fields.	6 Sí, oímos hablar del Arca de Efratá, y la encontramos en los campos de Jaar.
7 Let us go into his dwel ing-place, and worship at his footstool.	7 ¡Entremos en su Morada, postrémonos ante el estrado de sus pies!
8 Go up, Yahweh, to your resting-place, you and the ark of your strength.	8 ¡Levántate, Señor, entra en el lugar de tu Reposo, tú y tu Arca poderosa!
9 Your priests are robed in saving justice, your faithful are shouting for joy.	9 Que tus sacerdotes se revistan de justicia y tus fieles griten de alegría.
10 For the sake of your servant David, do not reject your anointed.	10 Por amor a David, tu servidor, no rechaces a tu Ungido.
11 Yahweh has sworn to David, and wil always remain true to his word, 'I promise that I wil set a sonof yours upon your throne.	11 El Señor hizo un juramento a David, una firme promesa, de la que no se retractará: «Yo pondré sobre tu trono a uno de tus descendientes.
12 If your sons observe my covenant and the instructions I have taught them, their sons too forevermore wil occupy your throne.'	12 Si tus descendientes observan mi alianza y los preceptos que yo les enseñaré, también se sentarán sus hijos en tu trono para siempre».
13 For Yahweh has chosen Zion, he has desired it as a home.	13 Porque el Señor eligió a Sión, y la deseó para que fuera su Morada.
14 'Here shal I rest for evermore, here shal I make my home as I have wished.	14 «Este es mi Reposo para siempre; aquí habitaré, porque lo he deseado.
15 'I shal generously bless her produce, give her needy their fil of food,	15 Yo lo bendeciré con abundantes provisiones y saciaré de pan a sus pobres;
16 I shal clothe her priests with salvation, and her faithful wil sing aloud for joy.	16 revestiré a los sacerdotes con la salvación, y sus fieles gritarán de alegría.
17 'There I shal raise up a line of descendants for David, light a lamp for my anointed;	17 Allí haré germinar el poder de David: yo preparé una lámpara para mi ungido.
18 I shal clothe his enemies with shame, while his own crown shall flourish.'	18 Cubriré de vergüenza a sus enemigos, y su insignia real florecerá sobre él».
